Good work! I would say the direct USB connection new possibility is probably the best of them all! This is how a USB device should operate in 2024 - you connect it via cable and the other machine instantly recognizes it and you just drag-and-drop things around. No special drivers or other programs should mess in the way.
I hope that if there will be no more updates to the OG Tracker, Polyend would be so cool to release its firmware as open source. Just look at Deluge and the open source community there! ❤
The parity with tracker+ really makes me want the tracker+ as I can just keep going on projects on a full size tracker and keep my mini for work breaks, traveling and outdoor music making Thank you so much 😊

I just took my first test run with the new synth engines, and I'm in love. They're a little bare bones, and a little lo-fi, compared to what I'm used to, but the tones they create are still fairly warm, and dynamic sounding. You've completely revived my love for this machine.
From how I understand it, the tracker mini(and tracker+) use a much faster CPU and have a bigger memory pool and are stereo capable. All features that allow the extra capabilities. I am sure though that Polyend will push the tracker OG to its limit, but it must be coming to manufacturing end of life so don't expect too much!

My firmware update did capture the synth Presets -- I put the synth Presets folder in the root folder but my synths only uploaded with Init patches. What am I doing wrong?
I had the same problem when I wanted to use a new 512gb sd card…make sure you delete(but backup)everything on the card and then unzip the update,copy the pt file to your system and the patches folder..then flash the firmware to 2.0 when done you go to your new synths and click twice on load presets they should now appear..I’m starting from scratch but maybe you can add your other data later,don’t make the mistake of moving the patches,hope this works let me know how you get on😊
@@romcd neither do I have them in the menu, you can see 'm in the download under patches bu I have no idea if or how you could place them on the tracker mini, I hope for an answer?

Feel a disappointed with the ui for the synths so far. I was hoping it would be quick and easy to edit and preview changes but, unless I'm missing something, it feels a bit of a slog to the extent I probably won't use them much. Cycling through and previewing the various presets is a slow process too. For workflow the fastest way of getting some nice synthy sounds is still the granular synth. Wish they added a built in tuner as I'm using my phones guitar tuning app to tune things. Otherwise a nice update but I am a little unsatified as adding cool synth engines was high on my wish list. They sound nice but the tracker mini is a fast workflow machine and the synths ui grinds me to a holt.
@@iamjamessmith Tracker plus is not a new product..it is an upgraded product..it is not like the users are demanding free upgrades from the company..just make hardware updates an option..now it just feels like they are rushing for a product release..at least if the original units had stereo sampling I wouldn’t have been this disappointed
@@iamjamessmith during the time of release there were hardly any hardware trackers available in the market so the original unit was kinda the only option to try out hardware trackers..and from my experience I have products from various companies and only one piece of gear has gone outdated so fast..and people who bought limited edition OG units cannot sell the OG and get new ones..but anyways like you said shouldn’t have bought the tracker and with this experience I don’t I will ever buy from Polyend again

Sadly no. The Tracker Mini and Tracker+ run on an entirely new chip/mcu. The OG Tracker simply does not have the juice to support it.

Just pick instrument S1-S3 and there you go
Instrument S1-S3 are located above the sample based instruments. Select one and got to the instrument parameters menu to load or edit patches.
