Judging by the number of tunnels, bridges, and viaducts on this route, it is unlikely to be converted to broad guage or electrified any time soon. Please consider covering tourist locations like these during your journeys, if time permits - you are very good at captivating the heart and soul of such destinations.
हमारे यहां भी मीटर गेज ट्रेन चलती थी नरकटियागंज-सिकटा-रक्सौल-सीतामढी-जनकपुर-दरभंगा रूट पर 2014 में बंद कर दिया गया था फिर 2018 मे दरभंगा से नरकटियागंज रूट पर ब्रोड गेज ट्रेन चालु कर दिया गया और नरकटियागंज से भिखना ठोरी रूट को 2024 मे ब्रोड गेज ट्रेन चालु कर दिया गया

Its sad to see these meter gauge routes shut down. Authorities should not look at public facilities as a profit and loss. Some of these routes are just providing connectivity to a people who live in very remote areas. Converting it to broad gauge will also not provide a profit to the railways, they may say it is bringing uniformity to their operations, but that sounds very hollow.
