Narrator: UP A113 T-bones the tractor-trailer at 60 miles per hour. The force of this impact spins the trailer wildly for about 720 degrees and shoves the truck aside, smashing both crossing signals and destroying the gates. The police chief rushed down the street to find out about what happened. A doctor, Maisie Brumble, ran out of the coffee shop to help the driver of the truck. Riley Andersen, the engineer, was given a punishment and suspended from Union Pacific for 365 days. She began to cry during the crash, thinking that the driver was killed.
You've got skills. You ever think about packaging and selling your reskins / sound upgrades? I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one to purchase. TS is in desperate need of quality locos.
one problem- the train should have gone into emergency as soon as the engineer spotted the trailer. They wouldn't have stopped in time, you would still get a crash, but no engineer in their right mind would ever think twice about bringing that train to a halt as fast as humanly possible.
usually they dont go into emegency until they hit. who knows if the truch, car, etc. will get off before then. and if the car does, then theres a train delayed.
Breaking News:A Union Pacific Frieght train has plowed a Semi Truck. At around 9:30 A.M. on Monday Morning, a truck driver was making a trailer delivery. The truck then got stuck on the RR tracks. The driver tries starting his truck, but to no avail. The driver and his dog managed to get out of the truck before the bell started ringing and the gates went down. At 9:35 the UP train approached and smashed the truck also damaging the crossing. There were no injuries reported in the accident.
This was amazing, best SD70ACE I have ever seen and the horn is perfect. I live near one of the highest traffic Union Pacific Lines in all of America and you got the horn spot on!
Somebody better update their "knowledge" of American trains and railroads. EMD 70ACes don't smoke like that, the engineer would have been off the throttle and probably in emergency long before hitting the truck, there's no grain elevator for that spur and lone empty grain car and definitely no need for TWO spurs, you're not going to find a crossover like that in a town and where there ARE crossovers on double-track mains there are two so traffic can cross both ways in both directions. And since UP mainlines run parallel with major roads and highways and obviously the highway is not between the tracks and buildings, there would not be stop signs on the highway so city street crosstraffic could shoot across the highway and tracks. In fact, in the towns that are laid out with the tracks that close to downtown and parallel to the highways, the highways are between the tracks and the downtown area specifically to prevent truck and car traffic from the highways from having to cross the tracks to get into the downtown area. In UP country, the towns along UP mainlines were pretty much built as the railroad was built and the planners were even smart enough to put the original town platte NORTH of the tracks so the prevailing north winds would blow smoke, steam, dust, any sparks or embers, some of the noise and the smell from the cattle cars AWAY from town. They didn't hire idiots to build a railroad across 1500+ miles of open prairie, foothills, the Rocky Mountains, desert, dry lake beds, the Great Salt Lake, the Sierra Nevadas and to the Pacific coast.
holy shit!!!!!!!!! THAT UNION PACIFIC TRAIN CRASHED INTO A TRACTOR TRAILER/SEMI. AND THE SEMI BROKE THE RAILROAD CROSSING SIGNAL. AND IT LOOKS LIKE YOU ARE PLAYING A TRAIN SIMULATOR
Everyone on board evacuated safely, however the Hull of the Kenworth was damaged beyond repair. The engineer survived and the train suffered minor damage. The NTSB found that the alternator belt had been cut, resulting in the truck losing power.
One problem- the train has gone to emergency break as soon they hit the trailer. They didn't stop in time. If the engineer spotted the trailer they would make an emergency break to stop in time. The engineer made a emergency break when they where going to hit the trailer and they wouldn't stop in time. Thanks for watching everybody!
Even if a fan...as the man said you dump it all or throw it in emergency gear..n tdd heres no way that stack was still burning after the crash!!! Again thanks for watching!!
Breaking news this just in, A Union Pacific train intermodal slammed into the truck a 2:19 PM. Lucky no one was hurt. They call 911 to see this wreck 3 Union Pacific continues its journey
...Always wondered when you were gonna do a train collision with a Hunt Truck, as there have been quite a few documented within the last few years... Another one bites the dust!
Ok if the engineer saw that the track was blocked why didnt he go ahead and start braking? From the looks of it the engineer plenty of reaction time. Especially with that long straightaway
one promblem- Where did you find this and recorded it like this? second promblem- The truck driver did not escape/evacuate. Third promblem- The egineer of the train, he wouldn't blow the wistle, he would start to slow down and stop otherwise he would use the emarchancy stop. (Sorry for spelling wrong)
Love the video! Great job! I just wanted to know how you got the effects where the crossing got taken out to look so real. Is there something particular that I need to do with the mapping?
For everyone that is critiquing , You came to watch a video, Not correct every little mistake in the video. So what if didnt apply emergency braking, This isnt real life, This is a video game. So just stop savagely correcting him over small things
Breaking news: this is CNN news, a Union Pacific train crashed into a tractor trailer. No one was hurt. Witnesses say the driver got out and was shocked when the impact happened. He had to call his manager. The manager was shocked when he heard what happened. Emergency units had responded. And they had cleared the accident. Some of the gates had been knocked down. This was a bad accident. Stay tuned for updates on the train crash.
I hope the truck driver saw the train coming and jumped out in time and was safe. There is no other way to put it. This accident shouldn’t have happened if the cars waiting to cross the tracks should have moved to let this 18 wheels truck go through!!! Unbelievable the stupidity of today’s people! Gosh, what the hell is happening in this society??? Are people behaving like zombies or what??? SMH.
I have watched several of your videos. You have obviously done a terrific job here with all of this one and the other videos. I play train sim. I have the 2016. I did not purchase the 2016 or 2017 version. It updates certain aspects of the game on steam every year. I am disappointed that you avoid answering some of the questions asked. I have some I really hope you will answer. What route is this? Is the swaying I observed especially outside the cab an update or improvements from Dovetail. Are the containers part of a freeware or payware download? Last question, the sound enhancements are terrific also. Where can I find them. It's too bad that some of us novelists can't tap into learning how to enjoy what you have here. How to videos would be awesome. Thanks in advance if you could answer those questions. Derick
Thanks for answering. The routes you use in the video's are awesome. I would love to be a student in a class of yours to teach me how to fully utilize trainsim. You have an amazing talent. I have shared that at mjrmstsrepaints.proboards.com/
That's pretty amazing. I bet it took forever go to back and forth to edit and move the scenery around and then play it just a bit to make it look like a real crash.
I dare say that the train had some slowing down time and room, maybe to even avoid the crash. I think the engineer was getting a thrill out of blowing his horn.
@fritzyavenger6732 it probably takes longer for a freight train on a class 1 railroad (such as UP And NS) to stop. I mean class 1 railroads love to have over 100 + freight cars on one train, which is why most also have 3 or more locomotives such as this one. Yes a ship does carry alot, but so does a train. So it would take either around the same time or longer to stop. Besides engineers wait to see if the truck/car will move or not.

I hate the physics in this game when it come to cars getting hit by the train it just goes right through it
Yes they need to fix that
Darian Washburn I agree
I know right they should make the game more realistic when you touch the car you push it
I agree, because I don’t like it when stuff suffocate in each other. It’s just weird.

Would have been a bit more realistic if the train went in emergency the second the engineer saw an obstruction in the sim.
