Today we’re driving the Fundy Trail Parkway, a 30 km scenic drive along the coast of the Bay of Fundy that is said to be one of the most scenic drives in New Brunswick. And wow, did it deliver! Along the way we got to experience hikes, waterfalls, overlooks, beaches, and so much more. It was a BEAUTIFUL day!
NOTE: Drones are NOT allowed on the Fundy Trail Parkway without permission, which we obtained beforehand.

Keep New Brunswick beautiful and PLEASE follow Leave No Trace principles: lnt.org/why/7-principles/
New Brunswick is one of our provinces that doesn't get all the love it deserves. Thanks for showcasing our beautiful country!! We are very proud of her.
Agree, totally. We are from BC and when we went cross Canada and back we "did" PEI and NS with a quick pass through of New Brunswick. However we "did" NB on our way back west and both of us agree, New Brunswick more then holds its own. Beautiful Province, beautiful people.
Excellent summary of the "Cabot Trail of NB." A bit of an update - the management of the Fundy Trail Parkway has just been taken over by the Province of New Brunswick, and, next year, it will be akin to all of our other provincial parks. This will stabilize funding levels and, it will be interesting to see how this might play out in terms of future development. I would love to see the new park expanded eastward to the boundaries of Fundy National Park, and, an access road built to Martin Head, a small island just off the coast and connected to the mainland via a sandbar. The scenery there is truly spectacular, with views of the coastal cliffs both to the east and the west. This "ironbound" coastline is truly unique along the eastern seaboard of North America. I'm glad you had the chance to experience it. New Brunswick is much more than a "drive-thru" province on the way to NS and PEI. More and more people are beginning to realize this. I hope you had a chance to visit Saint Andrews-by-the-Sea and Campobello Island.
Thanks for the info!
We wish we could see and do it all! Time and budget play a factor. All the more reason to come back! And we totally agree…New Brunswick is a destination itself!
Our son moved to Riverview and we have yet to explore NB even though we are from Nova Scotia. Looking forward to it. It looks amazingly beautiful!
I knew this from following you across BC, Yukon and into Alaska which is my turf but you two prove once again you are far more than tourists, you are travelers! Finding Fundy National Park was one thing but finding and doing the Fundy Trail is something even most Canadians don't know about.
Thank you for the kind words! We especially love visiting spots that are lesser known. New Brunswick was full of gems!
You guys never disappoint! Stunning video, hike, waterfalls, views, caves! Outstanding video…thanks for bringing us along! ~Cara 😊
Wow, I didn't realize how beautiful New Brunswick was .... love the variety of scenery! Am so glad that you shared with us the spots and the experiences ... what a wonderful province!
Agreed, and I'm from Nova Scotia!
It was such a gorgeous province! We knew it would be pretty, but it blew us away!
Excellent video . Have been through Canada but not New Brunswick. New bucket list 😊. Enjoy your videos
What a drive! New Brunswick is gorgeous!!! I’m so glad you got to do this…the scenery is just outstanding!!!
Boy oh boy...Kona is a trooper!! I love how you use your drone....and love Katherine's knee wobbles! What gorgeous country...some I've never seen before. Beautiful video, and as always, so educational.
haha she's our little mountain goat! We love flying the drone and fly it every chance we get! Thank you! ❤
Returning from my 2 wheel trips, it's always nice to continue on with you three as you explore so much more that I've missed. Your efforts to make the filming and background music is truly amazing. I just turned 70 and my willingness to travel and see more is still there. As Spock said, "Live long and prosper ". Love your dance moves. 👍👍🏍🏍🏍🙋♂️
keep on traveling, we are in mid 70s, and are planning a month long trip to maine, moosehead lake, aroostook valley, and of cour;se acadia. we were going to new brunswick and nova scotia, but we love maine too much. thanks for showing us the fundy drive.
Thanks John! We hope you had a great trip! Keep traveling and live long and prosper!
The scenery looks breathtaking! Thank you for sharing! I appreciate how you include travel details - cost to drive on private road, open certain hours depending on the month, etc. Best to you both!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Eagerly anticipating NS & PEI. I remember going as a child and can't wait to see it through your eyes! ❤
Those views are EPIC..! Excellent content. LUVS IT! Safe travels
Thank you!
I just started to plan our trip to Nova Scotia, PEI, NB and Newfoundland. I’m so happy to have come across your videos from this past summer! Thank you!
Lovin’ the drone shots in this episode! Especially the first one of the hairpin curve. Nice!
We were so thankful to get permission to fly here! It really gave a great perspective of this epic coast! Thanks!
Hello my friend. Your video is very good, the afternoon helps me relax everything here is great
Waiting to see you discover the rest of our beautiful province.
As always, an epic video of a part of our beautiful country! Thank you!
Hi A@K, happy you enjoyed your Trek of Fundy National Park. Unfortunately never had the oppurnity to visit the southern part of NB while growing up there, and on returning it was always visiting the parents. Thank you for sharing. Incredible scenery, Im so happy you enjoyed my home province. Look forward to the next vid!
Hi Rudy! We really enjoyed our time there! It's such a beautiful area! Thank you!
I was juuuust thinking, it's been a minute since a new A+K video, and here you are!🤩
Beautiful scenery. Great video.
Wow! I live in nearby Nova Scotia and these sights were all new to me! Those drone shots were spectacular!
Same! Our son lived in NB now. Gotta get exploring the province with him now!
Wow the views of the coast were amazing loved 😍 the waterfall, caves, and the dance 💃 🕺 moves on that suspension bridge 😂
Excellent footage! Enjoy following and all the great content you provide, even more so when it’s my province and my back yard only 30-40 mins from Saint John. A great motorcycle ride that I do often each season.
Must tell my husband and son that. They may like to ride the area. Our son now lives un Riverview.
Loved the drone footage in this video. Looking forward to more 😊
Wow! We just traveled the Fundy Trail Parkway too and were really impressed by the rugged terrain. It reminded me of California's PCH as well. The hiked the Walton Gorge too, but couldn't do the Eye of the Needle because our kids are too young, so I really appreciated seeing your video of that trail. Thanks!
Yeah the end of the Eye of the Needle trail would be tricky with kids! It is such a beautiful park and area isn't it!? Thanks and thanks for watching!
Absolutely gorgeous and you caught it so well. Also impressive bridge-nastics!😊
It’s always a joy watching your videos! Keep them coming, safe travels you guys.
Beautiful drive, beautiful waterfalls!😍That hidden cove is so cool! Can't wait to see the next video!
Thank you for taking us with you and teaching us the geology and history of New Brunswick.
Wow, what a great video! I have never been to this area and your video with the drone and regular footage was amazing! I especially enjoyed the canyon and all of the beaches. Some of those areas looked a little treacherous for hiking especially the water crossings and that wooden stairwell! Keep up your contagious energy and enthusiasm and thanks for sharing your trip!
Some of the hiking is pretty adventurous! Thankfully there are lots of hiking options in the park...there's something for everyone!
Thank you and thanks for watching!
I'm from New Brunswick. I used to hike down into Walton Glen Gorge before that area was turned into a tourist attraction, even before the parkway was built. I spent the night in the gorge approximately halfway between the falls and the eye of the needle. Amazing experience. I also visited where that elevated lookoff platform is, before it was built.
How cool! It's an awesome spot!
Thank you for sharing. Awesome
Thank you for sharing this beautiful place
Oh, so good! Beautiful views and drive. Need to add this area to my list to visit.
Thanks for the video. The scenery was beautiful.
Beautifully captured the amazing beauty of New Brunswick. We loved our time there too but neat to see the perspective from the drones too. We have done a couple of adventures on the west coast following your videos. :) Thanks
Looks Beautiful! Stay safe and live it up!
Such a nice area. Thanks for posting
So glad you are having a lovely visit to our neighboring New Brunswick , we are in Nova Scotia . Worlds highest tides here .
Nice scenery. I really didn't have much of an idea of what New Brunswick looked like because we almost never see any pictures from there. Kona is getting her share of water sports time.
Hidden Canadian gem!
Kona is loving her water time here in Canada! We think New Brunswick gets overlooked, but it is a destination in itself if you ask us!
Well, you’ve done it again! I’ve got to add this area to my bucket list! Really pretty scenery!
🙌
How beautiful! Your hiking looked challenging but fun! I’m glad Konie could go! Loved watching! 😘❤️❤️❤️🐶🥰
It was too much fun!
Definitely an epic drive. 👍😊
Loved it ❣️ You 3 are Awesome..
I saw your Alaska and BC videos, and I knew you’d eventually make it to the majestic Atlantic coast. I would really love to do this to sometime.
thanks A+K
I am duly impressed!
You two are my favorite! Love watching your adventures ever since you came through Duluth!
Thanks and thanks for watching! ❤
Awesome I live close to the trail. Great drone shots. You two put on a lot of miles. 😊
Hello Adventurers 👍😊👍😊👍😊👍😊👍, WOW! I'm looking at all those steps climbing up up and AWAY! These waterfalls are ABSOLUTELY ridiculous 👍👍👍! I'm thrilled that your enjoying the Fundy shoreline. I hope that you got to Hopewell Rocks. We...that's my son are enjoying this amazing video. We've enjoyed this so much. Can't wait to see what's next. OUTSTANDING!
It was such an epic drive! Stay tuned for Hopewell Rocks this Sunday! Thanks, Al!
Fun adventure! New Brunswick looks underrated for sure!
I've been to NB many times but never the Fundy Trail. Thanks for showing a part I'd not seen before. Maybe I'll head there next time I'm Down East.
OH, and I love all the drone footage here. Amazing! That is cool that you can get permission to fly in those areas.
We were so thankful we could get permission to fly here!
So Nice 👍
You are just in time for New Brunswick day. Its tomorrow Monday Aug 7
Lucky dog, lucky you two.
Your video came out a couple days before we went, but i didn't watch it (data is expensive in Canada). I was injured so we couldn't do much hiking, but one beach trail on the pamphlet said 0.1km. I think that was from the parking to the start. After hiking several hundred metres we got to a sign that said something like 3km to the beach. Disappointed but i knew i couldn't climb back up if we went on. We also saw the Sea Captains grave yard and did the suspension bridge. We had started with the Sea Caves and by the time we got on the Parkway, it was later in the afternoon so we mostly enjoyed the scenic drive back to Fundy NP.
This drive has just been added to my travel wish list - thank you!!! I'm guessing another reason why it took you 11 hours to drive was because of all your BEAUTIFUL drone shots you take (in addition to your regular shots)!! Love when you start a drone shot up-close and waving so we can see the start of the pan out with you in the pictures! Thanks again for sharing!!
Yes the filming and drone shots add so much time! 😂 If we weren't filming it wouldn't have taken nearly as long, but there is lots to do! Thank you!
Love all of your videos - they are beautiful and well done! It’s great that you take your pup everywhere - have you considered hiking with a harness on in case she slips and you need to grab her, especially on those narrow ledges?
Thank you Cathleen! We used to use a harness on Kona for years and she constantly pulled like a sled dog. She did 7 weeks at a board and train program a couple years ago and they trained her on the prong collar. She doesn't pull like she used to at all. A way to grab her on ledges would be nice, but the current set up is much more enjoyable for all involved. Thanks and thanks for watching!
Looked great! hard to believe that geography is in the east. A & K video essentials:
Kona eating the water -- ✔check
Katherines' patented knee move while dancing-- ✔check
Pillowy food-- ❌ not today
The east coast of Canada is filled with similar geography and geology actually!
This is where I lived for 5.5 years.
So beautiful. I learned to love nature in flat, boring Miss. so that now that I live in Seattle I never tire of the abundance of superlative nature because I got used to so much less dramatic scenery as a kid. I don't travel anymore so your videos are "getting me out" of the house.
We LOVED living in Seattle and we hope you do too! We never ever got sick of seeing Mount Rainier out. Truly one of the most spectacular sights in the lower 48!
It's nice to take a detour to an unplanned place on the road trip. Like the cliffs and wide beaches of NB, reminds me of Central CA... Still waiting to see what indy coffee shop and food places you stumble across.
You won't find many in rural NB compared to California, that's for sure!
The Fundy Trail Parkway was an amazing find!
It is cool that you are seeing things that many Canadians never see. I don’t know if you went to Cape Breton or not but I am wondering if this area of New Brunswick is as nice as Cape Breton.
No we haven’t been yet. We’re saving that for the fall to hopefully see the beautiful foliage!
We’re so thankful we are able to see so much of Canada!
Beautiful lived close by but never went ty
In early June I drove The Cabot Trail in my 2014 Corvette…. It was awesome!
Thanks for sharing this. Do you create your own drone video shots as well? That puts everything OVER THE TOP!
Yes the drone shots are shot by us! We LOVE flying the drone when we can! Thanks and thanks for watching!
What foot gear are you all wearing? cool video bty!!
All of our gear is linked in the description 😊 thanks and thanks for watching
What brand shoe were you wearing trekking through the water?
They are Chacos! They are a hiking sandal that we love for hikes like that. Super solid grip!
We are going to the area next Spring after the April solar eclipse. Looks like the Fundy Trail parkway will not be open then. I guess it will give us a reason to come back.
You will be here in April? You may be here when it's still snowing!
Yeah it might still be really cold and icy!
Do you have plans to go back to North Carolina this year?
Possibly to see friends, but likely won’t be filming there this year
🙂
are those conifer trees white pines? balsam fir? 🌲
That’s a good question that I wish I knew the answer to!
We have both here.
Hi
I got a friend in New Finland. When he comes to visit us in AZ, we nick named him Newfie. Just think about what we could call him if he was from New Brunswick. NewBee?!*?
You mean Newfoundland? I hate to break it to you, but people from Newfoundland have been referred to ss Newfies by the rest of Canadians for eons, lol.
Pronounced like New-Fin- Land but written Newfoundland. And the term "Newfie" has been the nickname for Newfoundlanders for decades, although I hear they don't all appreciate the term these days!
@@dorisbetts3012 He will always be loved.
Aughhh! You stopped for the day, Aughhh! Get to the high tides, PLEASE! And thank you!
NB tourism should take a page out of their book.
