There were some pretty good actors that floated onto the island. I love watching Don Rickles and Larry Storch whenever I can.
I started watching this show for the first time when my wife got our son the DVDs. What a delightful show. I still have Season 3 to look forward to.
Nehemiah Persoff who played El Presidente is still alive at the age of 97. He is now an artist.

Whoa, what a babe. Would like to take her for a spin. Gilligan's Island was a nice show for its time. I don't think it would work for the new generation, but it has stood the test of time for many decades.
Nice that you got most of the male guests with Ginger. I think the interchange with her and the guests showed her best acting. Who would not like the scene with the Russian? Classic.

What a nice video Buck Stops Here. I forgot Ginger was often used as a decoy to help them get out of trouble, or off the island. She looked like she had fun at her job. Too bad Tina Louise did not appreciate her role on this great show. Ginger was an iconic character like some of the other characters.
I think Tina has come around to it finally. She seems to have more appreciation for it now.

Funny how the Russian is dressed so warmly and his friend is sleeping somewhere to keep out of the cold, yet Ginger has her skimpy dress on and ready for a swim. That's why we love this show.

Just saw this vid. Ginger had it all--striking great looks, awesome body complete with terrific looking legs and a fun personality. She didn't always flirt with every man, remember, she was a black belt judo expert (Ginger Grant Secret Agent--Diogenes Won't You Please Go Home) who saved Gilligan from the Japanese Sailor (Her version in that episode).

My favorite scene is Ginger with Mr. Barkley. He can't believe his good fortune and moves the meeting from 10:00 to 9:00. Gilligan's Island is still fun to watch after 50 years. That's pretty amazing!

Whoa, seems like wardrobes drop from the sky on Gilligan's Island. Surfer Duke arrives on the island on his surfboard wearing only swim shorts. Later, we see him wearing tight jeans and a tee shirt. Naturally, we are only left to believe Ginger or Mary Ann managed to make them. BUT, in any event, we still love everything about this show no matter how old we get.
Ginger got married during the series and she is often seen wearing her wedding ring, as in some of these, maybe the director just thought is would pass as part of her costume jewellery +-
Tina Louise lives in New York and her only child Caprice lives in California. They seem to be very close so it must be hard on them to live so far apart. I live close to my kids and that makes life so much more bearable as I enter senior years.

Glad to see this video not trying to compare and contrast Mary Ann and Ginger. Why can't people just like both of these fine actresses for their contribution to Gilligan's Island. Personally, I did not have a favorite; I liked them both for different reasons. Tina Louise gets criticized a lot for not being a happy camper and concerned about her career. I say get over it. FYI, enjoyed your video especially the scene with the Japanese soldier.

I doubt this show would be very successful as a remake even if it took place in the 60's. I think it would be considered too innocent and the lack of modern technology may not go over to well. Gilligan's Island was wonderful for its time.

You know if I directed any episodes Rory Calhoun,Denny Miller and Don Rickles would be all over Ginger. I believe the censors didn't care for Gilligan's Island,plenty of titillating enjoyment.
Too bad Gilligan's Island was cancelled for the 4th season due to some big wig Tv producer and his wife having to find an hour slot for Gunsmoke. The scrips were are prepared and ready to go. Would be interesting to see the scrips and what guest stars were going to be lined up. I wonder what Sherwood Schwartz did with them???
