    To be honest there would be nothing funnier than 4 Conservative Prime Ministers in one parliament! The idea that replacing Sunak and calling off the currently scheduled general election, with less than 6 months to go before they have to call a general election, would improve their electoral prospects is insane. At present a large proportion of the electorate despises the Conservatives. If they did that they would be reduced to a laughing stock.

So, if the sitting government is half decent, they usually stay in power...     Something BIG is about to drop and Sunak does not want to be around when it hits! Normally he would have waited until August, had Hunt issue a load of goodies in the August statement and then tried to ride the wave to the finish line.
    Sunak has nothing to show to try and convince us to vote Tory. The Rwanda deal is about to fall apart so it's game over, no replay.

    This morning's newspaper headlines poor. 'Drowning Street' (City AM) the best of them. 'Things Can Only Get Wetter' (which is one I heard suggested on Times Radio CZcams clip yesterday evening) would have been good, but, ultimately, I think I might have gone with 'Washed-out Tories call it a Day'.
