Lol… this is my first time seeing that, humor, but fascinating😂, good job, Papito.
Thanks for the heads up on the timing marks, starting on a 2013 2.4 avenger.
AWESOME!!!!!! this is a wonderful encounter
Thank you so much !
I'm doing this job right now
That was actually very informative
Love your videos man always quality work I take pride in my work too the glove trick pretty funny 😄 I usually have someone crank over and put my hand over spark plug tube hole but this way better bcz only need one person
after rotating engine a couple times should the marks on the oil pump chain stay where they were set at tdc
Lol the gloves 🧤 popping out
Hie bro the timming marks of the 2.4l is it the same as 2.0l for dodge caliber I can see the engines look the same
Is the head the same on a turbo and a non-turbo head ?
Hello, How much money I would expect to pay to change the timing chain ?
Have a question when you remove head how and cams to be machined how do you get it back in timing?
Setting up the chain on the marks
Timing was set perfect on my vehicle but it still acts like it’s out of timing. Takes forever to actually crank over and when it does misfires and has the rotten egg smell coming from exhaust
Plugged catalytic converter
hiii
I tried to set the timing using the OEM chain after changing valve seals. the oem chain does not have any colored links. big fail! I ordered the Cloyes chain that has colored links. should make this job a whole lot easier!
That dot on crank shaft facing down is not TDC!!
How do you know where the dot is supposed to be for tdc ?
Should be on the side of crank facing the front of car like 3-4 o'clock
@@peytonlawson8865 yes, finally figured it out, thank you. At first I thought the cams were stuck but then remembered the second rotation on the crank and it all lined up. Just noticed the balance shaft chain off a tooth, so now it turned into a bigger job. Have to drop the oil pan. Thank you for the info though
You are completely correct. I pulled the #1 plug and used a dowl and measured it on the compression stroke. It stop going up at 3 o'clock. All the timing marks matched perfectly including the oil pump gear markings. The difference could be the after market gear/chain set. Our OEM crank gear marks were different than the replacement.
I thought so too myb the crankshaft gear is not the original it's aftermarket but how did the top timming marks goes on the exact place those 3 copper marks are on point if he shifts the crank shaft to match the mark point at 3 o'clock it's doesn't it mean tht even on camshafts the markson the timming chain will move off myb with 4 or 5 teeth and the other thing 8 want to ask does dodge caliber 2.0l and 2.4l hv the same timming marks and same timming chains coz I saw som hv different oil pumps other oil pumps hv mark others doesn't hv marks
