  • In this video I am using purple, pink and gold for a beautiful Dutch Pour with some awesome negative space. I had a hard time with the hair dryer and had to turn it up to high, but keeping it higher off of the canvas I was able to control the air flow and the paint didn't get too muddy. Overall I really like the colors along with the negative space.
My second book on paint pouring is going to be published on March 3, 2020 and is currently available for pre-order: "The Art of Paint Pouring: Swipe, Swirl and Spin." By Amanda VanEver

Beautiful Amanda. I think what makes it so nice is you only use three colours. In earlier videos put out by artist they use to say don"t use too colours on one project. A lot of people use a dozen colours in the one painting and the colours get lost . Love the effect of your paintings. Glenis

So true! My husband has to remind me sometimes to limit my colors! Even using 5 or 6 can become too much and create mud. I have having using only two or three colors and creating some really beautiful pieces!

Is this regular paint prices or the bloom prices? Either way, they are beautiful!

Your first closeup on the left side looks like a snake with it's mouth open. Once I saw that, my mind conjured the entire painting as a vision of a snake's body exploding! I know, I know. Weird imagery. But once you see something like that it's hard to un-see it. This would make a fantastic illustration for a sci-fi or fairytale book. Expand your publishing chops with stories to highlight pouring images like this. 😯

Very interesting! I always love to hear what people see in paintings like this since they are so abstract! Thank you for your feedback.
