- The Yamaha RX-135 (also popularly known under the name RX-King or RX-K or or RXT simply RX in Southeast Asia, especially India, Indonesia, & the philippines) is a two-stroke engine motorcycle produced by Yamaha since the 1990's.
The RX-135 was released around the end of the 1990s. In selected India cities, a factory-shipped RX-135 could be bought until August 2009. There were two versions of the bike sold in India - a four-speed version and a five-speed version. The 4-speed produced a power of 12 horsepower and the 5-speed version produced 14 horsepower.
In Indonesia, the RX-135, initially called as RX-K, was produced in 1981-82. The new 1983 model, which added a cubical tank design and a new more modern seat model, was released as the RX King - with a claimed power of 18.5 hp. It was produced until late 2009, when the requirements of the EURO3 regulation halted production. The late model RX-135 in Indonesia used a catalytic converter as part of the exhaust, which made it pass EURO2 regulations.
The RX-135 had also been initially introduced as RXG with similar engine capacity but with numerous changes in bottom-end gearing (primary ratio), sprockets and cylinder design, sticker design, ignition system and general looks.
In the Philippines the rx-135 is called RXT it started production in 1992. It has notable differences from its Indian counterpart such as rectangular shaped headlight instead of circle, taillight bracket placed differently, & fuel tank cap. The RXT135 ended production in 2007 with the introduction of euro 2 emission standards.

It's a last model Rx135.. Cat silincer with bend pipe and 5s casing... Not the tiger model.... Tiger model was only in 98 with 1L6 engine number..the last model was the cost cutting version.. With mini cat round dail.. Like wise..

98 tiger was cost cutting model not the last model. Mini cat was for reducing weight and for pollution norms.

I remember in 2006 my dad's rx135 blue colour going to school sitting back of it and the sound is still beating in my heart nostalgic feeling 😊😇but sad it was sold in 2012 😔 I was not that much aged to keep that.

My father bought this Beauty in 2005 and still we have this in our house. Still in running condition and we used to drive it everyday. Nothing has changed fully stock bike. 😊😍

I think it was a limited edition bike before completely discontinuing the RX series comes with unique changes ,the features actually I'm searching and waiting to buy 2003 or 2005 model 135 5 speed because it is not too old like RX100 27, 28 year old bikes it will be easy to restore

Exactly I have the same RX 135 of 2005 Model with Center lock system and all super specifications.
This last model came in 3 colours -
Black / Gold and Red
The last one which is an Economy model compared to the older one- Lacks the seat beading and some other Chrome items etc
Rx135 Tiger model was of 1998 year and it had Tiger batching on its side panel these all Rx135 of 2003-2005 are just named tiger rare model by some idiots... The actual Tiger model had tiger batching single meter as of cd100, black indicators, black rear mudguard

I have this bike .2005 May. Bought it in 2007. It felt like it was always in the power band and pulled cleanly till 95kmph. It would keep on accelerating even with the throttle mildly opened. Around 2010 I got the exhaust cleaned and they removed the honey comb. After that, no low end power and the engine feels off. Now I have to rev and get the rpms up very much for power :/

From what I know, this RX shares parts such as fork, speedo, key set with yamaha crux or ybx.
The cat silencer on this is called mini cat.
Oil pump on this is small because it's a 12bhp engine not 14bhp as the 5 speed, so the pump capacity is smaller on this.
What I find interesting is yamaha launched the rx series in this order
100, 135 4 speed, 135 5 speed, 135 4 speed. Don't know why 135 4 speed was launched 2 times with same 12bhp engine, when they already had the 14 bhp like what you said this is the last model. But they gave it an underpowered 12bhp engine with additional weight.

Libbu bhai can i use rx135 stock muffler on a stock rx100 exhaust because everything in engine is newly rebuild on my Yamaha rx100 so wanted to use a stock exhaust of rx100 and I have rx100 muffler but it is been cut short for after use so can I install the rx135 muffler for first 1k kms (is there a difference in rx100 And rx135 stock muffler?)

There's nothing called a Tiger model bro lol this was also confirmed by a previous employee who worked with Yamaha when they were producing RX series in bangalore
tiger name makes it easier to buy parts for it and mostly sellers list its parts under the tiger name only. some call it tiger model some last model.
