I just read the 2014 paper in 2020. Really interesting. I’m wondering what the mechanism is behind the changes in the neutrophil response, the phenotype transition of macrophages etc. Would it be increased circulation? Either in the arteries helping to bring in monocytes earlier in the process or in the lymphatic system, transporting away waste products reducing oxidation causing the transition to type 2 macrophages? Any info on this type of thing. Many thanks. Luke Gibbons (Physiotherapy student U.K)
