Here is a very easy and inexpensive way to upgrade your Jeep Wrangler. A LED dash light install is a very easy upgrade the can give your Jeep that custom look.
In this video, I install a set of led 194 bulbs. The process is as simple as removing a few panels on the dash and switch out the bulbs for led bulbs.
I chose blue led bulbs, but they come in a variety of other colors.

Your video was excellent. One tip clean each lights contact points with an Emory board... Also hand tighter all the screws on the back of the gauge panel. This fixed an intermittent gauge issue I was having.. Good job!

I did mine a while back and ran blue lighting under the door thresholds and under the upper edge of the rear tub. LOVE IT! Don't do the 4x4 light on the dash as I did with blue. I couldn't tell if it was in 4x4 or not. Kept that with the white.
Just did mine. Super simple upgrade especially since my Speedometer had no lights at all. Now everything works great.
Nice upgrade - a must for any drivers. Also on your gauge panel you are missing two additional sockets. Should be 5 bulbs for gauge console.

Gonna do orange LEDs and I found some white face gauges on Amazon real cheap.

Hope you see this comment. This video is extremely helpful and informative. I wanted to try and fix an issue I’ve had while the dash is off and I have access to it. My radio shuts off once I turn my lights off and I honestly have no clue why. It is an aftermarket radio and it has a bigger fuse in for that reason but, I don’t see why it shuts when I turn my lights off!!
I’d check the wire supplying power to the radio first. Does it only have power when light on? Then power wire may be coming from source only supplying power when lights on. Sounds like power wire going to wrong spot

I did mine a while ago. I used white led bulbs it turned out amazing. I also did a led light strip wired in to my floor light and I stuck it to the underside of my dash so the whole floor lights up. I also put them in the sound bar push lights.

i did mine. i used red & blue on the speedometer and tachometer. red on the gauges... looks cool. i think.

I had to go fix a few. They are directional. So test before you put it all back together

you should do a video on how to readjust the pull levers for the vent for the hood scoop. mine doesn't work but the cables are still attached.

Hello:
I did my dash lights in LED but…. Now my temp gauge will not zero when the motor is cold. I took the dash apart put in a new gauge and this reads the same. The engine is the correct temp just the gauge won’t zero out when cold. Any ideas??

Thought I blew a fuse I had the up and down sliding thing beside the light switch turned all the way up my red leds wouldn’t work unless I slide it like 80% of the way

Did you get dimmable, or not?
BroncoSolid They didn't say when I ordered them, but they do dim. I used 2 white ones under each side of the dash to replace the factory footwell lights. They come on when you open the door and fade out when you close it. I've got 6 more white and 8 blue, not sure what I'm going to do with them yet. Thanks again for showing me these!
thanks to you video i was able to replace my dash lights on my YJ ; and 3 months later i also replaced my tail lights for led but now i have a problem because now all my dash lights doesn't work LOL , any idea what it could be wrong ?
so..I bought the blue LEDs and installed them in my dash and they don't work. Apparently they're not compatible with my 95 JY. Any ideas why?

I did this mod last night with red bulbs. Why are yours so much brighter?
Question?? Have you had any issues with Cops and these lights. We’re in California and have no doors ever. It’s illegal to have blue or red lights under cars etc, just curious if you’ve had any issues at all?
Can you also replace the centre bulbs (turn indicators, shift up etc.) with LEDs?
It looks like you don't have a speedo cable? I did my LEDs a long time ago. I couldn’t find anybody on CZcams for instruction. After I finish the installation, I found out I couldn’t use my dimmer rheostat. I wanted them to be a little brighter. So, I don’t know if their full power now or if I switched them all out again and got the dim-able LEDs would be brighter? I had a heck of a time with the speedo lights.

I have a problem with my1994 wrangle. , my gas gauge was reading full and I replaced the floater, didn't do anything I replaced my gauge and now it reads empty. , do you have any suggestions on what my problem would be?

What year is your YJ, because I am confused with the amount of blubs you need!?
While you only uns three blubs for the dash cluster others need six blubs?
The speedo & tach both use 2 blubs, so four all together?

Looks awesome, I plan on doing this but have a question. My indicator light (blinkers, brights, check engine light etc..) are all missing the bulbs are these the same?

Hi, the dimmer on my yj doesn't work with the normal lights. When you adjust it, the lights flicker depending on position. Do you think the LEDs will work in this situation?
+William Burch sounds like your current bulbs aren't the dimmable type? If you get dimmable led, should work.

I put the light strips on the dome light switch. Basically replace the floor and dome lights with the led light strips.

Actually use a spray of wasp killer. Works well. We have them all around in the summer, but fortunately, they like to stay outside. Very rarely do I find one in the house.
I did mine in red so it wouldn't be as bright. Real easy to do.

Did your LEDs ever start blinking/flickering? Been having this issue for a while and can’t figure it out. Checked my dimmer switch and my grounds and they’re fine. All stock bulbs worked fine, issue started when swapped to LEDs.
Man, that stinks. Electrical gremlins can be a nightmare. No, I did not have that issue with my bulbs. Still running fine to this day. Sorry man

I did the bulb upgrade to white LEDs a few months ago and it was a huge improvement but since doing the upgrade the temp and oil pressure gauges no longer work. The temp gauge stays at 0 and the OP is always maxed out. Any thoughts?
I'm going to guess you have a bad connection at the gauge or cluster. Pull it out, clean it up with some contact cleaner and see if that helps.

Yeah, there's a cluster of smaller bulbs there. Loose connection or bulb out? Sorry, don't have a video on replacing those yet.
When I replaced my bulbs with LED I tested them out and they work I guess there's a loss of connection somewhere along the line
