Awesome video! Life in the country beats town and city EVERY TIME! Those dogs are the happiest creatures on earth. They know they are valued and they are instinctively are a part of their environment. They love it and though may have short doggy lives, every moment is life to the full. That's also what country folk experience every day when they wake at 5am.

Once saw a huuuge foreign legionere say "There are two situations, where a man feels lioke a man. When he fights, and when he makes love to a woman". I was a 20ish yo "kid", but I have never agreed more on anything with anybody.. Notice, ladies - if there are any here - he said "makes love" - we do that, if you are worth it..!!!!! Your pack of dogs are still amazing I love how they enjoy what they do. They have been training so great I just enjoy how the park then to the house in the smiles on their faces do a fast way exander tails are the John how they attack and how they protect the owners great job thank you for sharing. I mean it's fun hunting and protecting our own plants against this animals. But think about it? Is it really benefitial to the real environment by killing animals?

@@KenKen-ct1tb ya. They are invasive, and dangerous. Also they produce co2 like anything else does. People cry about cattle but for example there's more than 9 million feral hogs living in the US. Think of all the gasses they produce. They also eat up root systems and will gore anything in its path.

Sorry mate, didn’t see this question until now, unless I mentioned it in the video, I’d be really struggling to remember much about the dogs now. I know they were imported from New Zealand though, and had greyhound in them. As most nz pig dogs do.
Wild boar salami is a fairly expensive delicacy and would certainly pay the bills and more...Well worth looking into...

I gotta hand it to you guys, I've killed a lot of critters in different ways in 72 years of living but I never did it with a knife. I'm putting that on my bucket list.
We always did it with a knife...safer for the dogs and easier when the dog has the dangerous end of the beast...but shooting pigs while the dog is on is just plain irresponsible. These guys did that..... makes them yahoos!

the area on the vid looks similar to the mt abbot to walkamin outside mareeba...... no kidding i been chased on a mountain bike by a large boar up the herberton range between upper walsh and walkamin fnq... farkn nearly followed thru... they get fat on the banana plantations and head up the ranges once the seasons over dont let them greens tell ya otherwise... the hogs gotta get hunted by dudes like youse... good work and good future hunting... greetings from tazzie

Oh O your dogs let the squeal get away. LOL The dogs do a great job 110 Kelos nice (thats 242.5 pounds here in the US 🇺🇸. ) Question: What caliber do you use ? If that was me here in the states I would use my big pistol,.45-70 (probably not allowed in Australia)

Years ago here in the Philippines you cannot hunt wild boars just like that, my grandfather was almost killed by a wild boar while hunting, he was badly wounded, and unfortunstely the wild oar had escaped.
What about today ? Are citizens allowed to hunt them ?

First rules for first hunt, don't take your own dog if you're hunting with someone else who has them, do take lunch for everyone and don't tell anyone where you were hunting :) That's if you're going for the first time and someone else experienced is taking you. Good luck.
