I have the exact same robot and color but under another brand, KOSGHO.. and cost me $61.38 with tax on ebay. My above ground pool has a bunch of wrinkles on the bottom but it does not slow it down !! It just zoom, zoom, zooms !! There are a few more brands that are exactly the same but I think the difference is the battery, mine has a 5200 mAh battery but have not tested it fully as I have an 18 foot round pool and it gets the job done under an hour. So I would recommend this to anyone as it does a great job !! Thanks for making the video.
A few things I would like to comment on. Another video says you have 10 seconds to put it in the water after pushing the button and all you have to do is just drop it in - so no need to put the cleaner in the water, then turn it on. We used a Pool Blaster Max by Water Tech for a couple of summers and discovered that, with those types of cleaners (battery-operated), the battery does not hold up long after a handful of charges and eventually, you will never get the green light at all - we've been through this twice now. And it's not like you can buy a replacement battery - you can MAKE a replacement battery, if you're good at that type thing. But from comments elsewhere, I'm seeing the same issue with this little cleaner - wondering if it's not really by Water Tech.
Another thing that most instructions will not tell you is that you should really not use your robotic or battery-operated cleaner in a pool that you are shocking or a pool where the free chlorine (FC) is over 4 ppm.
So if you keep your cyanuric acid (CYA) at the "recommended" level of 50ppm, your necessary FC will already be over that 4ppm warning - at a 50ppm CYA, your FC level must be at 6ppm in order to ward off any algae blooms. Personally, I keep my pool CYA at 20ppm, because I've already tested it and KNOW that the 20ppm is enough for my 17,200 gal pool, which means that I only need a free chlorine level of 2.4ppm...well below the 4ppm. Your free chlorine level should be about 12% of your CYA.
So I'm thinking that a lot of these cleaners, whether robotic or battery-operated, are being damaged by the level of free chlorine and possibly high pH. Research it before risking your new cleaners. Sorry so long-winded.
We just got ours in the mail today. Wow, what an amazing job this machine does. Your video is what made us finally decide to get this. Thank you!!
Is it still working well?
@@kg4955 it did for six months. Then, one of the wheels broke, and from what I found on the website, there isn’t an option to order the wheel by itself. The unit works great. The wheel broke after daily use for six months, which put the machine out of commission.
Ours worked great last year but this year it doesnt move after putting into the pool. Not sure what is wrong. Any ideas?
@@elizabethsullivan7125 hmm I’m not sure. Ours worked for only six months before the wheel broke and there wasn’t an option to replace the wheel itself without having to buy a whole new unit. It’s a bummer that yours isn’t working anymore either.
Thank you! Just got one and am excited to use!
Thank you for this video! I bought one and I'm excited to try it out!
Just got one of these. Thanks for the video . Much easier to learn from a video than it is to learn from reading the directions .
especially since the directions have photos that are not clear
@Leah Watts great. It does a really good job. It works way better than I thought it would. The battery only holds charge for about 30 minutes. Sometimes I have to use it twice in a day. It takes about 2 to 3 hours to recharge.
Just got mine today, works great
Got mine yesterday love it its awesome
Used first time today. Works great only a few issues. Gets caught behind ladder. And I also have a large dip in pool bottom (moles) but it only took about half an hour to clean bottom. I just hung out back and helped it out a little when it got stuck... I am keeping it.
Just got mine. It's charging now. I had the whale one and they work well for about two seasons. I like this concept because it doesn't tie up your skimmer while vacuuming. I'm in the deep south and bugs will start appearing within an hour of your skimmer being off.
Thank you for this. I've had mine for over a week and didn't know how to begin. My lid won't come off though and I'm nervous to break it if I pull too hard. You appeared to take it off very easily. Also, I have a pool that goes from 3-6', its a rectangle. Does that angle effect the vacuum?
Nice I just ordered one! Can't wait, thanks for the video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Just got mine today and its charging up.
Went to utube to find more info and video and their you were!!!
Excellent video!!! Can't wait to try this baby out..
Think ill call her Baby...
Great review. Thank you.
Thanks for this informative video! I. Bought one and love it
How do I know if my Aiper is charged? Any lights?
Nice video. Thanks
So, would this robot work in a typical rectangular above-ground pool? Those have curved transition between the floor and the sides, and in the video you said something about that it requires straight angle? Thanks.
Great video. Thanks.
Just bought this for my in ground semi contour pool hope it helps. If does not can you recommend reasonable priced booster pump run pressure cleaner
Very helpful 🙌🏾
I love it - but the clips that attach the bottom pieces have gone missing and I don't know how to get them back on and working.
Great review I have been looking for one to purchase and I believe I'm going to get this one for the money and what it does I think it would be a good purchase thanks for the great review
For the money I definitely think it’s a Great camera. If you’re looking for something less expensive and you don’t mind having to recharge it, and don’t need the spotlight, the E-40 is also a great camera
How long do we have to wait to put it to charge after we used it?
Thank u
Thank you!
Just bought used last night mine keeps stopping in the pool like getting stuck and I have to give it a push to continue!!???
The wheels on my fresh out of the box cleaner has wheel stops on top of stem so once I pull back the tab, the wheel still doesn't release. The stopper isn't coming off easily and I don't want to break it. Nothing in the instructions mentions this stopper at all. Any suggestions?
Lost the charger for this, any idea what type of plug this uses, amps, watts, etc, thank you!
I just bought an above ground pool.. we are so happy....oval 12x16x52” for 3600 + 200 for mineral water+ 1100 installation. In NYC. Very expensive though...
Congrats! Enjoy that pool!!!
I have a pool monster one exactly
the same
Great video! Can I ask where you got your pool ladder!?! I like that design
Its been a while, so I don't remember, but try the website "in the swim" they have a lot of great pool ladders.
Thanks for the video!! It really helped. Tos received mine. How long does it takes to charge?
It takes mine around 2 hours
I had mine plugged up for well over 4 hours and the light never turned green. Literally only moved for about a minute before it would just stop moving. Still on but not movement. So far EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!!!!
How does it do with floc ? Getting the pool ready and Shocked and Floc'd the pool but it's hard to pick up that stuff :)
I haven’t tried it after flocing the pool, I don’t know how well this thing would do as it doesn’t have that much room in the debris bin.
I have just purchased a Wanda the whale and then a family member we sent me the Airpert as a gift. Which one should I return?

Where did you get the pole with a hook on the end for pulling the vacuum out? Thank you
The vacuum comes with the hook, the hook is meant to connect to a standard pool pole.
Great- thank you
i have one of those but the battery lifesucks
How do i know if its turned on ? It beeps on the charger but doesnt turn on in the pool
Just used for the first time. When I took it out there was a lot of small debris that seems to come out before I can get it out of the water. What is the best way to remove from water to not have this happen
Flip it upside down before you take it out of the water
Do you think it will work with a wrinkled bottom? The wheels look pretty small.
The bottom of my pool is pretty wrinkled and it gets over it fine.
Hi. Can pick up dird and sand too?
Yes, it does a really good job with sand.
I may be wrong but I think any pool surface cleaner is going to get clogged up by really big leaves you just have to use your judgment if you see big leaves and just get them out of there with your net.
Followed exact directs but it not turning on. When I charged last night it was beeping so I turned it off. But now doesn’t seem to have power?
Are you trying to turn it on while it's submerged in the water?
Mine quit working after a year.
Does this vacuum still work well for you? It seems like the battery in mine died after 4 months of use, it won't hold a charge any longer.
The only issue I had with mine was the charging port got a little corroded and needed to be cleaned. Try cleaning it with vinegar so it makes better contact when you hook up the charger.
I used it once and it didn’t hold the charge as well I’ll try to use the vinegar
Can i put this on my over ground pond?
Yes, that’s what I am using it in.
Where you get the bamboo sticks for your pool.
I got them at my local hardware store, they sell them as screening.
Can anyone tell me if my pump needs to be off or keep it on filter mode? I turned it off but idk if that’s the right thing to do or if it matters. Not sure
You can leave your filters turned on.
I Had that one just work for 6 months, now is just sound on but doesn’t move at all in the pool. No warranty on it. So don’t loose your money on it.
Did this make your pool cloudy after use
Nope, it shouldn't
I brought mines last year and now this year it is not coming on even though it is saying full charge. Have you ever had this problem and is it a battery in it?
I'm having same issue , it still beeps if it's on when I plug it in to charge , idk if that's right or not ? Please inform if anyone knows . Green light is on , on the charging box regardless if it's plugged into the sweeper or not . So , idk if it's fully charged or if it's dead and or broken ... sweeper does nothing in the water .
Unfortunately they don't last long we have a small 15ft by 48ins pool and 9 mths in and it has died. We contacted Aiper and the after service is NONE. We had to contact them at about 6mths in that one of the rub flaps had come loose and asked to replace it. They took 3 months to reply after many, many emails and then they said they had no way to send it to us. So not going to buy again.
Yep, that's what's going on here. I've had it since April and LOVED it. Now it's not working. I came here looking for similar reports or possible diy fix.
I bought one from Walmart summer escape. And it wouldn't work. Now that I've watched more makeup sure your pool is completely flat. I have dips in my pools bottom will fix next year but it just gets stuck. Took it back
For these to work the bottom of the pool has to be completely flat
The robot picks sand as well?
Yes, the filter is a pretty fine mesh So sand and dirt did get caught up in the filter
Mine suddenly only jets one direction....thoughts?
Check the gray bar that is on top, the one that can switch from side to side, make sure it can move freely in each direction.
I got one yesterday I charged over night I'm just put it in the pool it doesn't work
It needs to be submerged when you power it on, have you tried that?
Is the charging system 220v?
No , it's just 110 volts
Nice stache..... Adam LZ's dad?
Haha!
Hey dad
Hi name!
The green algae around the bottom of the pool bothers me..
Cation to anyone who doesn’t need to turn the wheels- mike broke off as soon as I tried to push the release. Ugh
I’ve always worried how brittle the plastic is and how touchy the patches are on the filter, never thought about the little wheel tab being what would break :(
Nice review. But mr. ur pool is dirty
It would be a pretty useless review if I threw that thing in a clean pool wouldn’t it?
Appreciate the video. Just ordered this thing and I am excited to try it out
@@DoItYourselfDad hahaha good answer 👌
Its a piece of junk. Worked once and hasn't worked since. Waste of money and time
