均一な厚さに削る鉋治具その２／Thicknessing jig for a kanna part2

均一に削るための鉋治具の製作にあたり最初に考えたのがこの形式でした。当初は鉋台の側面に穴を開けて高さを調整する方法しか思いつかず、大事な鉋に穴を開けることに抵抗がありこの方法は断念しました。
前回の動画で視聴者さまから貴重なコメントをいただきまして「飛行機鉋」というものがあることを初めて知りました。斜めに離陸する飛行機をイメージしての名前だと思われます。非常に優れた構造とデザインに魅了されました。これを見たら作らずにはいられなくなり、今回の治具の製作に至りました。
鉋台本体に穴あけ等の加工をしない方法での治具ですので幅が広くやや重くなりますが、十分使いこなせる程度のものだと思います。
This was the first thing I thought about when making a thicknessing jig. At first, I could only think of a method to make a hole in the side of the kanna and adjust the height, and I resisted making a hole in the important kanna and gave up this method.
I received valuable comments from a viewer in the previous video, and for the first time I knew that there was a thing called "hikouki-kanna". It seems to be the name of the image of the plane taking off diagonally. I was fascinated by the excellent structure and design. I could not help making it if I saw this, and it led to the production of this jig.
It is a jig in a method that does not process drilling in the kanna. So, that is wide and somewhat heavy, but I could use it enough.

Very good work. I read in the comments that you want a surface planer. Mine had bearing failure a few years ago and replaced it with a new machine. The new one has yet to be unpacked from its box. My hand planes do just fine for most of my work. The quality of hand work is unquestionably superior to any machine. Like the trains going by you are on the right track. Another beautiful day here on the high plains of Texas.
