The Power of Love Brought Neurological Care to Nevada

Decades ago, the State of Nevada had limited options for neurological care. That was before Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health opened in Las Vegas in 2009.
But how did our center come to be?
Like so many medical innovations, this story began with a tragedy, and one family’s passion to do good for others.
That family was the Ruvos, who had nowhere local to turn when Lou Ruvo succumbed to Alzheimer’s disease. Their battle with the illness evolved into a philanthropic cause that brought Cleveland Clinic’s world-class neurological care and research out West for the first time.
