      If he does, more teams will have to look into drafting in this way.

    Uhhhhh, Since 1976 the Bucs have the same amount of Super Bowl Wins as the Packers. Bucs are also the most Dominant Franchise in the Super Bowl history, ranking #1 in points per game and #2 in points allowed per game, if you take away the teams that have only one appearance then they rank #1 in both categories.
    Packers have wasted sooooooooo Many years of Elite QB play. That makes them BAD not Good.

      This video focuses more on Quarterbacks and the success they bring to the team. The Bucs have two Super Bowls because they were a "quarterback away" until Brady came and won them a Super Bowl. They were on a 12 year playoff drought before that and hadn't won a playoff game since their Super Bowl win. The Packers in that same stretch missed the playoff just 4 times.
      While I do appreciate a good nitpicked stat though, would also probably have to say the New England Patriots are the most dominate team in the Super Bowl seeing as since 2000 they went to 9 and won 6 of them.

      @@NotAnInsider If you dont win the Super Bowl what is the point?
      Brad Johnson and Tom Brady won 2 Super Bowls playing 99 combined games for the Bucs.
      Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers won 2 Super Bowls playing 485 combined games for the Packers.
      Was Trent Dilfer the "Quarterback" away the Ravens needed in 2000?
      Also, no one said the Bucs had more Super Bowls, just more dominant IN the Super Bowl. Patriots won 6 Super Bowls by a combined 29 points. Bucs won 2 Super Bowls by a combined 49 points. To make a sharper point, Bradys first 5 Super Bowls were won by a combined 19 points, his one with the Bucs was won by 22 points.
      I will also point to the Giants, Eli Manning aint all that but he was good enough to win the same amount of Super Bowls as Favre and Rodgers Combined.
      What good are Top Tier QBs if there is not a team around them? Meaningless Regular Seasons Wins and Never Ending Post Season Heartbreak? In a draft position to maintain being goof but never great? Sure the Revenue it generates is great, but you think a Packer fan can talk smack to a Bucs fan now? Bucs won a NFC Title on their and have the same amount of Super Bowls post 1970 merger as them.
      The Cherry on Top, Baker Mayfield of the Bucs had a perfect game in Green Bay versus Jordan Love (I know QB vs QB means nothing, but it is a Narrative). Sure Love and the Packers have a brighter Future as of now, but why be Good if you cannot be Great. Tampa Bay and Green Bay represent the opposite ends of the Spectrum.
      Tampa 1 "We gonna be good this year?"
      Tampa 2 "Nope!"
      Tampa 1 "Well at least were are in Tampa"
      Since 1970 = 2 Super Bowls
      Green Bay 1 "We going to win the Super Bowl this year?"
      Green Bay 2 "I dont know"
      Green Bay 1 "Well, lets do the best we can!!!"
      Since 1970 = 2 Super Bowls
      Obviously both philosophies end up the same. Which one is better or worse, that is something time will decide, but having Top Tier QBs means nothing. Proven by the fact Brees, Favre, Rodgers have 3 Super Bowls, the same amount as Trent Dilfer, Brad Johnson, and Nick Foles.

    Let’s not pretend the packers(Farve, Rodgers, Love maybe), chiefs (Smith, Mahomes), patriots (Brady), or 49ers (Purdy) were geniuses.
    If any of them, or anybody else, knew those guys would be that good, they’d of been drafted earlier, traded for, etc.
    It’s better to be lucky than good, this is luck, not good.

    • @NotAnInsider
      @NotAnInsider  Před měsícem

      Do I think Patrick Mahomes would have been good regardless? Yes. Do I think him sitting for most of his rookie year helped him? Yes.
      If Michael Penix Jr sits behind Kirk Cousins for 3 years and ends up being good, are you going to think the Atlanta Falcons were just lucky to draft him?

    • @nwj03a
      @nwj03a Před měsícem

      Of course not and sitting and learning behind a quality veteran is valuable at any position, in really any industry.
      But the odds that all 6 of those QBs will be in the NFL is low, the odds they’ll all be stars is basically zero.
      Most teams passed on Rodgers, every team had a chance to move up and get him (including the packers).
      If Penix is the next Mahomes, people will still scoff at the falcons for waiting so long to get him.

      @@nwj03a I highly doubt that all of them turn out to be future hall of famers or even reliable starters in the NFL.
      This video just focused more on like you said sitting and learning from quality talent.
      I think a lot of young players not just QBs, can get their confidence shattered and never regain it.
      Of course there is exceptions to both sides. People can sit and still be bad and people can start and still be good.
      I actually have a whole video on the NFL Draft and some of the stats that actually back up a lot of the luck element you are talking about!
