She's obviously seeking sexual attention from the wrong source, and this could turn really nasty if the wife was to come home unexpectedly and find her daughter walking around in her personals with you home alone with her. The wife would immediately be suspicious of how long its been going on , why she feels so comfortable doing that, and if "anything else deeper" is going on. This is why you should tell ya wife ASAP.

As Shirley was reading the letter, I thought to myself that this young girl is doing this on purpose and then Steve response was on point! The college men would take it to the next level. Telling his wife the way he described was the right and mature thing to do.
I agree. Record and talk to the mom. All 3 should sit down to communicate the inappropriate behavior. He should tell his wife everything. He should definitely mention that she tries to sit on his lap. I stopped my daughter from sitting on her father’s lap when she was about 5. Dad understood. There’s no way a grown ass woman should sit on a man’s lap unless that’s her man. She trying to entice him and she may have sensed some energy from him since she’s continuing w/this behavior. I wouldn’t trust any man when it comes to my daughter... even if she may be the one trying to entice.

Wonderful response from Steve! That man’s loyalty belongs to his wife not his daughter. Stated or unstated the issue doesn’t need to be kept completely hidden from the wife esp since the daughter (who I disagree at 19 is a child but whatevs) is clearly manipulative only doing this out of her mother’s presence and KNOWS what the mother would say!

Set some rules as the man of the house. No need to tell mom until he's set boundaries. She's grown enough to move out if she can't follow the rules.

The daughter is definitely playing a game. For some psychological reason,she wants to see if she can get her mother's man. Maybe to feel she's "better than her" in her mind. That's how I read the situation.

I actually would have spoken to my spouse, first, about the problem and then had a family meeting about my stepchild's inappropriateness. People have to be careful on how they approach situations. I believe the stepdaughter is seriously disrespectful, inappropriate and she needs to be addressed. In fact, her behind needs to move out.
Also, does the stepfather/daughter work? It's quite obvious that he has too much time on his hand to notice multiple episodes of his stepdaughter walking around the house half naked. That's a problem! 9 times out of 10, the mother probably has already peeped something... MOTHA ALWAYS KNOWS LOL
A woman from when she's young is taught not to walk around the house undressed when there's a man residing in the home.

So true, my mother never let us being little girls sit in my father's lap but she never explained the reason. It was very confusing to me. I feel that the 19 year old wants attention badly and trying to get a reaction from her father. he does have to talk to her in his wife's presence on appropriate behavior in the home. I was told a similar story by a relative about her neighbor leaving his wife for the niece.....can end badly.

That stepdaughter has the hots for her dad. Big red flag. He needs to tell the wife bc that young adult can turn into saying he did something to her, you’ll be surprise.
The dad should install some cameras so mom can actually see what’s going down. Without proof, that mom could accuse the dad of just “covering his bases” because he did something inappropriate. Collect some footage, then present the footage to the mom if the daughter doesn’t straighten up quick. Nowadays, you have to protect yourself legally from outlandish accusations in case folk start lying on you.
Sometimes a young woman (or young man) who acts like this has been sexually assaulted when they were younger and this behavior is learned.
