A true melancholy feeling
It's the same feeling as Everything Has Changed for me; nostalgic for something I don't know that I've actually experienced. It's a rare, magic thing. Plus, this song is just... beautiful.

Am I the only one who's totally obsessed with the bridge that starts at 2:32 ? The whole song is great, I love how the lyrics are flowing all the time, but then the time stops and it's only the emotions and this "and they all fall down"... Such a beautiful counterpoise to the rest of the song. Goosebumps every time. Fratellis fan since Costello music but this has become my new favorite song.
That was what got me hooked to the song when I first played it. It sounded so magical yet haunting with the ‘and they all fall down’. The crossover of the ‘heeere’ and the ‘aaahaah’ vocalizations really helped with that feeling.
Same here! Been a fan since Costello Music, but this one seriously messes me up every time I listen to it. That bridge is outstanding.

This band makes me so happy :) my grandpa and I used to listen to Chelsea dagger in the car lol, my grandma would never let me bc she didn’t like the music video but he’d always let me play it and sing along even though I didn’t know what it meant. I’m glad their style hasn’t changed too much, it’s really unique and brings me way back every time I hear them

Two months since I first saw this, still sad and happy and wonderful and there's still just the suggestion of tears, but I just want to say that this song and video are excellent. Truly, amazing timing too, and I adore that, much like the song, the video is sort of unsure but this time it seems to end (for a given value of "end") on a happy moment. So clever with the running backwards.
