Charlotte Douglas Airport Weather Delay (Visited Admirals Club Lounge)

- The FAA shut down Charlotte Douglas Airport (CLT) due to high winds and rain. By the time my flight landed and I ran to my connecting flight, the plane has already left. American Airlines was great, and the gate agent rebooked me on the next available flight - which was 6 hours later. No big deal, I made lemonade out of lemons by visiting the Admirals Club Lounge for diet coke, salsa, chili, tea, and cookies. Excellent commentary; informative and entertaining. I have a couple "free" passes to the Admiral's Club because of my status as an AA Advantage card member and will be going through Charlotte in the fall. I usually fly first class and wish that admission was an everyday perk for the upgrade . :( The ability to find a sanctuary from the pedestrian confines of the normal terminal area makes me excited.
