Hello ! , Welcome My Friend ! , How Are You? Going Good ? :)
Any plans to stream chaos dwarf campaign?
Is this code region locked or can I use it regardless of where I'm from
Looking forward to the Boris campaign
When you gonna do chaos dwarfs, I know you playing it. Steam it it something. Don't act like you ain't playing it bro
Wulfrik is such a cool char in the lore, and I love playing norsca until turn 5 when bel'akor declared war on me.
I paid him 6k for nap and overtime it turned into allience, same with sigvald and archaon to get entire north secured
Wulfrik was one of my favorite warhammer novels back when books were a thing 😊
the key of the first battle with him is your cavalery dealing Armour Piercing missile dmg to him while ur frontline is fighting him (playing on VH/VH)
What's worse is when Azazel rocks up and declares war on you as well.
I loved playing Wulfrik in wh2, but Norsca needs a lot of lov. I think a rework should be in the cards at some point (after dawi and empire of course).
I would be interested to see a playable Norscan start in Skeggi, araby, maybe even over near ind/Cathay.
@HandOfThemis I managed to make friends with him by just declaring war on brotherhood of the bear and leaving him to batter them and then joining his war against kostaltyn.
The immunity to all sea based attrition is massive. I think it might have been in the tech tree before but took ages to get, meaning that Wulfrik couldn't really wander as much as his tech tree suggested he ought to. But now he can. Love to see it.
Not really though, you will be weaker if you do. He has no horde mechanics to wonder. You should secure norsca first. If you go wonder into the empire/britonia/ulthuan etc, you will have emenies on all sides. I mean its possible sure. But it does not feel lorefull, because he is bad at it. Like vampirecoast /beastmen have more of the wandering playstyle.
@@happydeathfish2166 yeah but then you defeat the enemies. Shouldn't be a problem, just win all the battles
I think Wulfrik should have a mechanic like Oxyotl, where he can teleport to Lords to challenge them to battle for bonuses or whatever for his faction or negatives if he doesn't manage to do it, which'd fit his tabletop lore I think.
That would be a really cool mechanic for him. Just straight up russell crowe fightin around world
So, Archilles from Troy?
continues to be one of the best series you've done, looking forward to your chorfs reviews soon
Imagine 2 or 3 years ago telling legend he was going to prefer throggs campaign
Ikr
Skin wolves, especially armored, feels like a much stronger doomstack for Wulfrik than marauders. He massively boosts them and they wreck anything large, and also demolishes infantry for some reason, whilst healing.
Belakor always declares war on my playthroughs
Belakor is anti player. No matter who you play, if he is sort of nearby he will declear war on you and focus on you. best to just bribe him since it takes time to sail over there in early game
I had to fight belakor super early in my campaign, was pretty damn tough. Blobs and searing doom for the win!
Great review as always. Thorough and efficient. Also, thank you very much for your work with the Promo and getting us a fair price. It brought down to the DLC to a level I felt like paying.
Thank you for the gamesplanet thingy, it made it cheaper for me to get the DLC and I very much appreciate it. You're a Legend Legend.
You just can't do anything in this campaign.
Everyone and their mother consistently declares war on you and invades somewhere in your empire from all sides. Belakor and his Vassals, Kislev, Bretonnia, Empire and even some stupid Chaos Factions.
One is almost constantly defending and trying to secure the peninsula.
This ensures that mechanics such as monster hunting and god affinity actually only come into play in the late game, when it actually doesn't matter anyway.
It's supposed to be a campaign where you loot and raid cities, but actually you're just being raided all the time. It feels really tough playing this campaign on VH/Legendary. Its more than doable, but it feels soo sluggish, strange and slow.
I agree, I'm on turn 50+ in mine and still struggling to hold even half of Norsca because I'm being attacked from all sides by everyone. The fact that the chaos factions have so many vassals just makes it worse too, instead of war with one faction it's 3.
@@bogdanleshenko7149 Great advice. Someone also mentioned that you can send gifts to major chaos factions in the north to get non-aggressive pacts with them, and eventually securing your northern front.
The earliest I've ever been! Love these videos! I've tried at least 4 diff lords I was afraid to play because of this series!
Remember when Legend wanted these to be like two minutes long? Man he just can't help himself can he?
actually i listened to your feedback and adjusted the format
@@LegendofTotalWar Didn't read the feedback myself but I'm glad for the change regardless. Better than the 20 turn guide format in my opinion.
@@LegendofTotalWar the longer ones are better. Would be cool to get more detailed overview of some of the factions you covered early. Though I realise that could be a bit of a tough ask to rehash content
@@chipmo this
@@LegendofTotalWar awesome
These videos are so helpful, thank you.
In this campaing I conquered Albion after confederate the bjorlings, established a base in the island and then migrate south trought the sailing point near Nagarond. Then crossed that territory, confederated the skeggy and continue sailing to Catay and the Easter islands. It was very fun, Lore accurate and made me rich by possesing lots of ports
One tactic I've done early game as Wulfrik is take over the Bjornlings then make my way towards Belakor while recruiting what I can on the way. You will likely lose the Monolith of Bjorkil to another minor Norscan faction, but if you get to Albion quick enough, he won't have it fully conquered so you can take the major settlement (which is a pretty good region to have) while he's busy fighting the minor Tzeentch faction. If not, he and his vassals are too much of a pain to fend off given how separated the Norscan settlements are from each other.
Love these videos Legend! Amazing content as always!
I have done a few campaigns with Norsca faction in Total War: Warhammer 3. On legendary difficulty, you can run straight to Doomskeep for the campaign. On the way there, you recruit with your main army for two turns, which allows you to get a total of 5 new units with an additional unit slot because you secure the province on turn 2 you can choose to get additional local recruitment from governing a province (commandement). Then, you move on to Doomskeep and position your main army between Doomskeep and Grealing Moot, so both armies attack you. You can win on auto-resolve or choose to fight and not lose much at all. On turn 3, you can't recruit with your main army since you will be in between Moot and Doomskeep, so it's highly recommended to start a second army and keep recruiting once you enter enemy territory. Once you confederate them, you move north since the Norsca faction on the bottom (Skaleing) doesn't declare war, at least in my campaigns they never did. You keep moving north and stop at the border with your main army to get an additional five new units - two from the turn you confederate the second faction and three from the commandment bonus on the next turn. Then, you keep advancing north, as mentioned before, because their army will be bigger than yours, and you can just attack settlements or just let them attack you which is easier since there won't be garrinson, and again, you can auto-resolve or fight with minimal losses. So, by turn 7, you have 8 settlements. Then, I would highly suggest taking the two armies you have to fight off Be'lakor and get that small island. Of course, Thorgg will declare war on you and take some your settlements, but with Norsca's confederation mechanic, by defeating the main lord of a faction after dealing with Be'lakor, you get all of the settlements you lost back, plus the additional ones Throog took. From that point on, you have insane snowball potential, and you can basically do whatever you want, expanding (sacking/razing or even occupying) in every direction and I would suggest attacking and confederation remaining norsca factions that are on main island that you start on.
Been waiting for this one :)
The Eternal Challenger trait should give Strider or a Ward save instead of Perfect Vigor. At least with Terror, you could make use of it on foot or with a horse mount.
in my last Wulfrik campaign, around 100 turns in I ended up facing Katerine. I had a 13 mammoths (including Wulfrik) and 2 wizards and she had a full stack. Auto resolve said it was a "crushing defeat" which I didnt even know was a thing. I turned it into a heroric victory with no causalities
As Wulfrik, I always wind up in a war with Be'lakor and his vassal on, like, turn two or three. He declares quickly, then Throgg declares. It's a fight for survival against two and a half stacks minimum early game. Bad luck, I guess.
@legendoftotalwar, I love your content! Please keep up the awesome work, Legend!!
Hey Legend, I am still waiting for your Boris Ursus review, I know you are still working on it from the Alith Anar stream and I really want to see your insight on that weird start, but I did played a campaign myself where I migrated to Hellpit and dealt with Throt and Azazel early on, but then it quickly became a This is Total War, when Wulfrik was fighting from the west, Archaon and the chaos tide from the north, greenskins from the east and Drycha and Festus from the South. The Empire was beign smashed by Vlad and Festus, Ungrim was cornered by Azhag and Skarsnik Altdorf, Kislev and Erengrad were razed, and trying to expand at any direction seemed to only bring more enemies like Grimgor, Malus and The Demon Prince. It was the goddamn End Times campaign, but it was lots of fun (except the AI from my allies abandoning their capitals to go conquer smaller settlements on the other side of the map, that was very frustrating). Cheers.
A little trick to get the campaign off to a running start. Instead of fighting the bjornling leader turn 1 get as close to him as you can and go into ambush stance and disband one unit from your army (so he doesn't retreat when you fight him next turn) fight him turn 2 try not to wipe out any of his units or kill him just beat him and let him run off map then confederate him and move his units into your army. You start with a second unit of champions, fimir warriors and the other units let's you get a full stack and go fight the naglfarlings before they get a full stack.
Hey legend, i love your content, i started watching you shortly after i bought warhammer 2, love seeing your videos come up in my subbed feed. Do you think you would be open to like some sort of Patch review for the big content patches? Like not just doing the new race itself but looking at the changes to the state of the game from major patch to major patch and summarizing your thoughts on the content itself and how it affects the state of the game
I had a hell of a time building momentum in the midgame with Wulfrik due to the incredibly low recruitment capacity of Norsca and fightings wars on all fronts. I'd be curious to give it another try but it feeks like the game traps you in a really slow, grinding place that's hard to get out of.
"Brothers and sisters are natural enemies. Like Norscans and the Empire. Or Norscans and Bretonnia. Or Norscans and other Norscans. Damn Norscans! They ruined Norsca!"
norsca is such a cool faction but it really sucks that their monster hunt gets bugged a lot and you can't progress past the 1st monster :/
Yeah and they have not fixed it in the patch notes!!!
@@happydeathfish2166 don't think they'll ever get around to fixing it lol, it's been a prominent bug since Warhammer 1. For now all we can do is load previous saves whenever the bug appears.
@@maximtcaciuc2904 really? i've ever had this happen, played 4 Norscan campaigns over games 1 & 3
I liked the tech tree, really encourages you to world walk and get those capital benefits.
Really love Wulfrik's campaign but "conquer all Norsca" is now too boring for me. The best way I found out for this campaign is either migrate to Skeggi to catch that landmark or use the mod and change your starting settlement to Skeggi at turn 1. Norsca campaign in Lustria just hits different especially when you can recruit 6-7 exp marauders and get Hexoatl tech for lord recruit rank in first 20 turns.
I came to comments to write this or promote whoever wrote it first. Go to Skeggi and have one of the most fun campaigns I've ever had
He really should start at skeggi
You forgot his other unique skill fervent creatures - gives huge boost for Skin Wolves
It just seems that depending on the circumstances lords seem to have redundant unique skills
Will you be revisiting some of the first ones of the series? Grimgor has a new start position in the latest patch
5:24 there was a cap for movement range in TWW2 - 150%*force-march
But in TWW3 it seems bugged and sometimes my heroes can run across 3 areas (i had this bug with nurgle sectants)
Love Norsca, and the confed by battle lets you grow quickly, but I always overstep and get Wolfrick killed in a fight he shouldn't be in. Gotta do better.
Can Norsca still get the massive upkeep reduction for beating Archaon, or is it no longer a thing with changes to the Warriors of Chaos?
you forgot to mention when The Shadow Legion randomly declare war before round 5 lol
maybe he didn't even play and just made this video out of his ass just to push content?
Can you "update" older rewievs where they're 2-3 min long and do 10 min videos?
I've yet to play norsca but I've heard their beasthunts might be bugged, in that they do not complete after quest battle or such. Might be worth noting.
Kinda have hoped we'd get slight rework/update for boys in the north, but they seem decent enough as they are. More lords would be cool, maybe down the line.
Also never thought I'd hear Legend prefer Throgg over Wulfrik, gotta be cold day in hell.
CA have said at the release of Immortal Empire that the boost were here to help Norsca being not pure shit but they will eventually get a rework. I will argue they are at the top contender with Bretonnia for the need of a rework because their factions mechanics are trash (monster hunting is cool on principle but bug and the things you have to do to acquire them are nonsensical for a campaign with pressure, and the favors of gods are acquire by preventing yourself of taking settlement and renouncing of sacking or losing one turn, which is the worst thing for a sacking faction to do).
So yeah, looking forward to a lord pack with three or four of them and a total rework!
@@garroshhellscream594 you summed it up quite perfectly!
The devotion system worked better in 2, where norsca could be confederated almost in its entirety by like turn 10. Now you're got Daemons to the left of you, and Daemons to the right. Stuck in the middle with Wulfrik is exactly what's going on. Norsca is filled with so many LLs for its size. If they moved Azazel or Belakor, then maybe it would be better feeling. Hell, Belakor being in the Ind region might not be the worst. I tend to feel the same about Festus to an extent; he absolutely wrecks the Empire early game.
I hope Norsca gets a new DLC soon adding a new LL or maybe even 2 adding a FLC one
Norscan are like scottish people and wulfrik is theirs groundskeeper willy
Damn Norscans, they ruined Norsca!
Those damn Norscans. They ruined Norsca!
They're natural enemies. Like norscans and other norscans
Just wondering which is LoTW favourite faction for camp and why
And favourite LL(doesnt have to be same as favpirote faction) and why
I was having a good SFO Norsca campaign until I tried to take on Betonia and I had a hard time going up against tier 3 units when I mainly had trash.
Me: Where is Legend of Total War?
Them: 0:01
Are we going to see your opinion on the new faction and its mechanics?
What do you do about Be'lakor? He almost always declares war on me early on and ends up taking my settlements while I'm busy on the other side of the peninsula.
Hey Legend, will you be doing updates to any of the LLs that got starting area updates in patch 3.0?
I think we need a Skin-Wolf legendary lord! :)
is there any intent to redo any of the reviews for LL who were updated in the Chaos Dwarf DLC?
Every time I try to play Wulfrik my campaign is cut short by both Be'lakor and Azazel declaring war on me at the same time. Extremely hard to beat even one of them in battle, let alone both of them coming at you with four armies total. I have no idea what to do it's just unplayable.
Pay them off.
@@KrimzonFlygon1 I paid them off with medium gift and they declared war 2 turns later even if they had a positive opinion of me
@@GamesExposedhe means pay them to secure a non-aggression pact, not just giving them gifts to increase relations
well for a non-agr pact there isn't enough money, was trying to build my way up to that with increasing relations but that didn't work@@MrTheSilentAssassin
@@GamesExposed Yeah I never said it was a fair trade lol. It’s gonna cost like 5k-6k.
You’re better off just filling out a second army with tier one infantry, with a healthy mix of anti large to deal with the Chaos Spawn and Belakor himself. A few units of Javelins actually make pretty short work of Belakor in the early game.
Could you do a list of good Doomstacks for WH 3?
I wish you would record full games, i never really cared too much for streaming
How would you deal with Belekor early game as every time I start the campaign he always declares war and I’m having to deal with his main force and his ally love to know what I can do to prevent this 😭
For some reason YT won't suggest these videos until they're like 12 hours old now.
Seems more like Gify of Toungues should cause a character to rampage or something
What patch was this video recorded on
what are ur plans for chaos dwarfs?
@LegendofTotalWar
The moment I noticed that you did not do a Chaos Dwarfs campaign as a livestream, that's when I knew that everything is going down the drain...
@@bbbeware I read that and I tell you he also said in his latest stream with Alith Anar that the game is just so meh right now that he doesn't see much of a point
Is @LegendofTotalWar still accepting disaster campaigns? Or did he just forget the description? Cause I need help...
disaster battles/campaigns will be returning soon.
The one problem with Wulfrick is that he doesn't have a flying boat mount.
Will you do similar reviews for Chaos Dwarfs lords?
Started a wulfric campaign and by turn 10 both Belakor and Azrael had declared on me. I was like well, shit. Empire, Kislev wanna be allies?
I run a Werekin Doomstack on him!
There's no more maximum movement?
It definitely was a thing in wh2
Occasionally when you stacked enough there was literally no difference between the reach of normal movement and force march
Vamp coast could relatively reliably get that high
That's different though. It still works that way. That doesn't mean you don't get more movement from traits and ancillaries that give more campaign movement.
Any tips on how to deal with be'lakor? He declares war on me without fail in the first 20 turns and it's rough.
I usually either pay him off for a trade agreement or nonaggression pact, or just go after him early. I usually recruit around 5 of the javelin hunters, he's pretty vulnerable to them, especially early. If you check diplomacy, you can usually gain favor with him pretty fast by offering to declare on whoever he's at war with(this also works on the Skaeling).
I played a multiplayer match with my friend, I was Wulfrik and he was Archaon. Belakor refused to declare war on me because I was allied with Archaon, and I actually ended up with a non-aggression pact with him.
I need these for the chaos dwarfs
Who’s bright idea was it to put belakor right next to you
Brothers and sisters getting along like Norscans and Kislevites or Norscans and Bretonnians or Norscans and Norscans. Damned Norscans, they ruined Norsca!
FINALLY
but brother, I get declared war in the first 10 turns from belakor and that other demon from the right, you haven't adressed this in the video
The thing that plagues any campaign is the player bias. As soon as _anyone_ discovers you the AI seems hellbent on declaring war on you.
I think everybody waiting for Legend's opinion on Chorfs ih the campaign map and on the battlefield
No review on pat h?
Still haven't fixed the god damn monster hunts.
Boris next please
Imagine telling Legend from 2 years ago that one day he'll prefer Throgg to Wulfrik
beast hunt is still bugged
Prefers throgg, doesn't prefer mammoths. WHO THE HELL ARE YOU, AND WHAT DID YOU DO TO LEGEND!?
when chaos dwarfs?
Mah man working 80 hours a week doing to more testing of this game than a hired QA tester working at CA 💀
I miss livestreams 😔, campaign reviews just dont make it for me in a constanly evolving game.
nice video
Do papa Kislev (Boris)
I hate norscan razing mechanic. Rewards are way to low for the effort. Basically when you get -10% unkeep you can forget about it and just cap everything
triple income from ports are low reward? OK.
did i miss anything why is legend not covering chaos dwarfs?
He’s not in the creator program so yesterday was the first day he has access to the dlc. He’ll need time to go through it before posting anything
@@Bojo29 ok thanks Joe i guess i missed the moment when CA had another moment....bloody corporate
First - 🐺
I think that`s a super lame campaign honestly. Not much special around it, just play agressive and be done by turn 30-50.
Wtf is this?? We want to see the new DLC
