- I was gifted with a huge Pokemon set quite a while ago. I have been meaning to organize them. Now is the time! Thinking about giving the set to my granddaughter who is apparently now a collector. Meanwhile, it was interesting to take a look at all the different characters. And organizing? Well, it's just something that I love doing so....

You said “alphabetization,” and I immediately said to myself, I’m TOTALLY there for that. 🤓 And then your handling of the cards, the random tapping, the plastic sleeves, = 🫠🫠🫠
But . . . I have no frickin’ clue what you’re doing or why certain cards went in certain sleeves. 😂😂😂

It would definitely be hard to follow the alphabetization of these cards because I had no heading cards with letters. I had four piles. A-F, G-L, M-R & S-Z. If I recall correctly. I alphabetize according to first letter of the name on each card. 🤪😂
Pokémon originated in Japan, but most of the Pokémon names we see here and would be familiar with in the UK/US are Westernised variants when they made the anime available in English (not necessarily translations, often complete renaming) - certainly the original 150. Pikachu kept the same name because he was a main character and it would be too difficult to change the name due to how often it’s used. The names are often just simple derivatives of their characteristics - Pikachu’s name comes from the Japanese phrases pikapika (a sort of “sparkling” sound, representing the electricity) and chuchu (the sound a mouse makes).
I went completely off on a tangent there hahahaha! Just having so much Pokémon nostalgia right now ❤

I keep my cards in a binder and organize them by their card number (tiiiinny number in the bottom left corner) and my favourite cards are on glass card stands on my desk (from Amazon). Because people on my channel have me type cast for a certain type of video. They like my shopping and my baking. I make videos of the things that I like the best. I LOVE card stock sounds.

I'm excited to see this tonight. I remember your Pokémon video from maybe last year? My son is 36 yrs old now but when he was in about the 5th grade he had a huge binder full of his collection. I told him to stop bringing it to school before he loses them or it's taken away by the teacher. Sure enough he got it taken away. I don't remember if he got it back. Hard headed!!!!!! Still🤣🤷♀️
