You're easy to follow. Thank you
I would love to see more Inkscape video. You are easy to follow. I am interested in doing cut our around picture, image to use on sublimation
I have lots! There’s a whole playlist you can check out on the channel!
Thank you!! This was very informative! I have shied away from Inkscape because it seems so complicated. This makes me feel like I could navigate it a lot easier than I thought.
lol
Thank you for using Inkscape, I find it so confusing. I hope I can master it one day like you 🙃
if you hit ctrl and D together, you can duplicate each design without added steps of copy/paste! The box you put your design (bounding box) in is changeable! create your design how you want, once done, ctrl and R will adjust the bounding box to the size of your design!!
I've been using Inkscape to create sublimated designs, and have been using the document setting to size out to my 8.5x11 paper - then saving as a PDF in order to print. With your video, I now know how to print directly to my printer with my design sized however I would like it!! Thanks!! Great video. Great instructor. Thinking I'll go check out the rainbow background as well. Looking forward to the next video.
Do you have to save the designs you create as a PDF before you can print them?
This is probably the easiest video regarding inkscape I have watched yet. You might make me just figure this program out.
I'm new to sublimation and your video was so easy to understand, thanks so much. Looking forward to watching your other videos
So happy to see you use Inkscape. Thanks for the tutorial!
Just starting sublimation and this was so helpful. Thank you for helping me understand it!
Love step by step making easier to learn inkscape thank you
Thank you so much I’ve been asking so many people how to do this and no one would help me sooo thank u soo much
Thank you for this super clear and informative video, I can’t wait to start my own T-shirt business. As of now I enjoy watching videos so I can learn.
I just want to say thank you for the video! Detailed but to the point!!
Looking forward to more videos! Thanks so much!
OMG....I'm so glad I got on CZcams!! I was looking all over to see how to start sublimating, I had so many ppl saying to do it this way and that InkScape is hard to use. Thank you for making this easy to understand!!!
You’re so welcome! I’m glad this was helpful! I feel like people who think inkscape is hard just haven’t found someone who teaches it in a way they understand
@@CorinneBlackstone i agree...I am trying to use it right now..lol. When sizing my design, it is bigger than the "page" that is already on there. Is that normal?
@@taushamorgan3989 make sure you have your document sent to us letter and then you want it to fit in that area for printing
17:07 Thank you! This is very helpful. I’m new to sublimation and I’m happy to know I have an option other than Design Space! New subscriber!
Much needed information
Omg thank you you are so good at explaining the program as a beginner it was awesome
Thank you so much! 🥰
Great video! Very easy to follow. Thanks.
OMG, I'm soooooo happy I stumbled across your channel. This was so informative and easy to follow along. I can't hardly wait to try my first project using your instructions. I kept saying to myself, "There has to be a way to select a color and then write what I want and use different fonts and color all in the same design!!! You're amazing!!! I quickly hit the subscribe button😊❤
Thank you so very much. Looking forward to learning this on my MacBook Pro
Love your design!!! You explain this process so well, THANK YOU!!
Thank you I need to move in another direction other than epoxy ❤️😎😎
Thank you so much for this video!!! I was about to give up until I found it!!!
Your video was so helpful! This is all new for me!!! You did a fantastic job explaining! Thank you for making it simple and not complicating it:)
Awww yay I’m so glad this helped you!
This will be my 1st time. So im hoping I can do it correctly. 🤔🤷♀️ I want to make a shirt for my husband for work to wear with his custom sneaker I made.
Exactly the information that I was seeking!! So thankful that you made this video and looking forward to the continued journey.
Thank you for this video! I just got a sublimation printer and was having trouble figuring out how to print larger sizes. This tutorial was perfect! New subscriber here. 😁
Thank you for sharing I really want to learn how to sublimation
Very informative and you explain everything well so it’s understood. Thank you.
This is awesome, thank you. Can't wait for the next video.
Thanks. Maybe I'll try Inkscape again.
This is a great video super helpful when just getting familiar with ink space! Makes it quick and easy to learn! Thank u!
Wonderful tutorial!!! Beautiful design and great info!!! Thank you very much for this beginner tutorial. Looking forward to more!!

Awwww love you back!! ❤️❤️
Thank you so so so much!! Can wait to try this!
Amazing video!!! Thank you SO much!
Really helpful. Thanks
For someone like myself and other new crafters that just learning to use Inkscape this video was very informative it would to nice if you could create a video for beginner with step by step on how to use Inkscape would be greatly appreciated ! Thank you ! Corinne for sharing ..Be Bless 🙏🏼
I have a bunch of inkscape tutorials to learn how to use it
@@CorinneBlackstone I was looking and couldn't find them . Once you use the text how do you move on without the a still being there
@@tammyborgborg8600 my inkscape tutorials are all in a playlist on my channel. I don’t know what you are asking about text
@Corinne Blackstone when I went to the a to insert text the a stays on the screen. Not sure what I'm doing wrong
@@tammyborgborg8600 the A will only be removed if you stop using the text feature. There is no A that just stays there your curser becomes the A in order to use the text tool
This was an awesome tutorial! ❤️
Thank you Marcia!
Awesome Job!
Wonderful tips
Thank you for the video❤️
great video.. thank you so much
I love your tutorials! You’re the best. Do u need to use sublimation printer and ink or just print with regular ink on sublimation paper? Thanks!
You must have both sublimation ink and paper for this
Great Video!
Thank you!
I just watched this video. It was great! One very important question……where did you get the sweatshirt you are wearing? I need some of those!!
It’s from the sunshine sisters but to be honest I’m not thrilled with it. The color washed out a lot so it’s super dull now
Oh no!! I’m installing my printer now! Want to try this one! Love your videos! Colleen
When i downloaded thr Melany Font, it didn't save it to inkscape. Not sure how to fix that. Also when i click the text icon my cursor is so small i cant see my writing. When i try to enlarge the font size it doesn't fix what i typed. Help!
You need to install the font for all users. Also be sure your program has been closed and reopened in order for the font to appear. As for the sizing issue you can zoom in on the screen. I would be you are really zoomed out. Hold ctrl on your keyboard and use your mouse wheel to zoom in
Thank you🥰
Ok… awesome video! But where did you get the rainbow colors that you added? Like I legit need a brand new to the game tutorial. I have a cricut, but I’m am getting ready to buy a press & printer so I can make shirts for my husbands business and our girls sports teams for fun.
Everything used including the design is linked in the video description.
Thank you sooo very much for this tutorial! Do you have any additional tutorials for Inkscape? I have had such a hard time learning how to work with programs and I cannot afford Photoshop.
There is a playlist of tutorials with Inkscape :)
@@CorinneBlackstone I am working on a project. I am trying to take a sonogram picture, cut out a circle within the picture and then sublimate that circle on to white polyester. Do you have any tutorials that may be similar to this? I'm so new with Inkscape, I don't know the correct language to use for the program. Hopefully that made sense
Similar to Design Space's slice tool I guess would be the closest description

HI Corinne i left a message yesterday about the speed of the video was too fast to follow the reply i got back was go down to the bottom and change the settings i've just been in formed the settings can't be altered not every persons learn's at the same speed
Could you just enlarge one sparkle and place over the rainbow? Awesome video. Thank you.
It would make the dots very large but you could
@@CorinneBlackstone Thank you!
Hey! Thank you so much for the video. My linked offset say locked is there a reason for that?
Your font is likely not a path correctly
Good video thanks
I'm very knew to this. Can you upload your own art into inkscape then and print that?
Yes that’s pretty much what we did here.
Awesome video! I have used Inkscape to design a few things and love it! It's been awhile so I have to refresh hiw things work lol. Does it really matter though if you use Inkscape or cricut design space? Does the coloring come out the same no matter program?
No it worn design space ruins color
I am new to sublimation and just got my Sawgrass printer. do you have video on where to begin? can i screen shot a picture and print it? where can i buy or find free files? im so lost!
You want to use high quality pictures with sublimation. Screen shots are not it. I have a huge list of websites with free designs on my website corinneblackstone.com I recommend checking out my sublimation playlist where you will find lots of projects you can follow along with
Lm new to your channel patty’s in Westminster md
Hello how are you what size do you in your photo shop to create it
Thank you for sharing. For future reference add link or screenshot of the program you utilized. It was challenging for me to come across it. I'm sure I was not the only one based on the comments. Thank you.
The program is always linked in the video description www.inkscape.org
@@CorinneBlackstone I see it now, thank you again and for all that you do. God bless🙏
What is the program you are making this design on called ??? How and where do you print like do you use a regular printer ? Use a special type of paper ?
Inkscape.org and it’s a sublimation ink and paper I have full videos explaining sublimation more indepth
Or how do I make them I was playing around with it but can’t figure it out . I want to make a folder with them in there like that
You can find the ones I used here www.creativefabrica.com/product/rainbow-brush-strokes-clipart-2/ref/236877/
Hi! Do you know if I can upload my own designs I have Freehand drew on paper to inkscape!? Also can I just create something on the main screen? Is there tools for that? Like to writting quotes????
You can absolutely create your own designs. And you can also take designs you draw in real life and put them into inkscape. If you scan them to your computer and then import to inkscape there are lots of ways to turn that design into all kind of usable files! It’s not something I do since I legit can’t draw my way out of a paper bag but if you want to do something like this you simply scan it import it and then size it!
Hello, thank you for the video :) I was wondering if I am able to use a design created for sublimation using the DTG method instead?
Yes you should be able to
Where did you get your brush strokes files? There's so many!
And will you be doing intermediate and advanced video's?
They are linked in the video description. I have added a lot of sublimation design videos. And more will be coming :)
Hi Corinne, thank you for this great video. Can you tell me where you got this design (paint stripes) from please. I really, really want to learn Inkscape. It seems like most of the videos for it are several years old. Can you recommend a good one, or do you have one? Thank you so much.
It’s linked in the bio. I have lots of Inkscape videos :)
@@CorinneBlackstone oh ok, I guess I didn't see it when I looked. Thank you!!! I'm excited you have lots of Inkscape videos to learn from!!!
Great tutorial can I ask which printer you have I’m having a hard time deciding which one to buy I know you said er 4700 but I came across one that says epson eco tank wireless supertank w/adf printer
The super tanks are great I also have the st-4000 and it works amazing too
I use a colour profile. Can you use one with ink space, if so how x
The color profiles are typically installed through your printer so yes
no diamond appears and when I change color all the fonts change to that color even after I have pressed linked offset, what is going wrong, do I have a different version than you? Mine is 1.1
You need to be sure your text is a path
Hi I’m a new subscriber I wanted to ask you do I have to purchase like all the backgrounds and fonts and all that?
not always I have tons of free places you can get fonts and more on my website in my blog at www.corinneblackstone.com
Where do I find the brush strokes like that
Linked in the video description
Do you know why it would keep printing a “normal” image and not the mirrored one when i mirror it? So confused 😵💫
Can you cut or I guess slice an image out of that rainbow background? I am trying to make a colorful rooster sublimation
Yes you can
have you done a video yet on how?
@@jahnarice2249 no I haven’t but search slice png inkscape and there are several
@@CorinneBlackstone thank you so much 😊
I am just learning Inkscape, my screen doesn’t look like yours the top is different and the right side. Please help me!!
I have .91 which is the least buggy version. There are tutorials on setting up your Inkscape you can use I don’t have one though
Hey Corinne. What is better escape or Silhouette studio
For this process inkscape provides the largest printing aurface
This was very helpful however i am so new that i know nothing so how do you find the colors and sparkles to begin to make the design?
They are linked in the video description. I find these types of this designs on the sites listed below as well
Great tutorial. If you didn’t use the offset would the text need to be below the paint stroke layer in order to print correctly? Or do you merge the layers so there is no color beneath the text? I hope that makes sense. I’m thinking if the design has multiple layers when you mirror it and print that the bottom layer (paint strokes) becomes the top layer when heat pressed and covers up the text.
No you don’t need to merge anything the text needs to be on top regardless of mirroring or not if you put it behind it you won’t see ti
@@CorinneBlackstone thanks
What size should the design be for a 20 ounce tumbler
You’ll have to measure your tumbler. Not all are the same shape
If you already have your printer set to print mirror would you still have to mirror the images on ink space?
No if you printer is already mirroring the image you do not mirror it again
@@CorinneBlackstone thank you
You mentioned that you use Inkscape rather than Design Space and it was due to getting a larger design on a page (from my understanding). Is this the same for Silhouette Studio? Inkscape looks so similar to Studio, that I wondered if I could just stick to what I’m used to (I’ve used Studio for some time, but new to sublimation).
You can use silhouette studio as well and turn off the registration marks to print
I loved your step by step tutorial im just going to start sublimating, but I have a question what type of images does Inkscape take to creat the designs? I wants something with dragon ball z couple characters for my husband and I but I don’t exactly know if I can just copy and paste a image off Google?
It can take just about any image format
Just getting started so I know nothing! Thanks
When you say “the rainbows they provide “ who is they??? Where do you get these designs you have downloaded ?
Everything is linked in the video description
is there any more videos on working with inkscape so far ive only liked yours.
I have a playlist with all my inkscape videos on my channel :)
Is there a place you can get the rainbow and glitter files?
They are linked directly in the video description
I love your video. is this circuit design space? mines look totally different.
This is done with inkscape
Hi, new to your channel and love it! This Design is so cute! Where do you find your images? I know there is google but I figured there’s probably a website that has them ready for downloading
I linked where I find all my images in the video description
My daughters are interested in creating y-shirts… Are they able to use the art they draw? If not then how do we find sublimation backgrounds and designs? Such as your rainbow.
Yes you can use the art they draw you just have to scan it to your computer
So I’m new new new new new. Where do i get designs like the brush strokes? Google? Etsy? Also, if i want character prints for bummies and such, is that something i get from Etsy too? Any direction would be so awesome!!
The links for my favorite sites are in the video description
Are you able to print pictures from a camera, I do nature photos and they are beautiful would love to share them this way!!
Yes
Inkscape or Silhouette which one is better
Except I don’t know how to download it. I hit the download button the screen and it took me to something that has several different downloads and i have no clue which is the right one lol. So i clicked on one and it told me i gotta download it thru the App Store
What are you trying to download?
Can you save your design as a png from here. I always do my svgs from here but didnt you know if you can save as png
Yes you can save in tons of formats
if someone design item in design space. can you sell the design or just the finished product. (if its your own creation)
If you didn’t use images that Are not anyone else’s you can sell them however you are not going to have a quality image in design space to sell. When creating designs for sublimation you need to have hug quality png images
