@@GracieReacts Yes, and after that Chile and Brasil. She's touring the whole planet right now, and if all goes well I will be able to go and see her live in Budapest, Hungary, on August 12th... fingers crossed we can make it happen, I have a close friend who is with a Hungarian girl friend, and he has been on that festival before and knows the place, and he said he would go if RAYE is there... it's about an 8 hrs drive from here... I'd love to go!

Hey Gracie, thank you so much for this wonderful reaction! I had no idea you obviously have heard of Raye before and already knew the songs, maybe you've seen her on tiktok, I've heard some of these went viral... Anyway, you don't seem to be really familiar with her either, I had the impression neither her name nor the song titles did ring a bell initially... So I'm glad that, even if she wasn't completely new to you, I was able to direct the focus of your attention on her: Yes, all of these songs are hers, and she has an incredibe amount of more, she's been writing songs for over a decade, must be in the hundreds, many of those were written for other artists like Beyoncé, John Legend and many more and she didn't get the credits... Raye has been in a record deal with a toxic label for seven years, it was a deal for four albums, but they never let her do even one, just had her writing for others or appear as a featured artist on other stars' productions... So she left that label in 2022 and released her debut album independently in '23. She even released it in two versions: The studio album "My 21st Century Blues" with crazy production and layered vocals, and a live version with The Heritage Orchestra & Choir at Royal Albert Hall, called "My 21st Century Symphony". Both albums are crazy good, I have not heard such a breathtaking debut in years. Raye's songwriting, musicality and vocal prowess are off the charts... Since I've discovered her only about two weeks ago I can't stop listening to her music and watching reactions to her, and I'm still discovering new things every day. Btw. it makes me happy to hear you have high expectations in my suggestions... Tbh I think it will be mainly recommendations for more Raye in the next time, right now I'm quickly bored with any other artist...
So where do we go from here? If you want to check out "My 21st Century Symphony": Two tracks from that event have been released with video (the rest is audio only). One of them is called "Oscar Winning Tears", maybe you've heard that one on tiktok as well, this live performance with orchestra and choir is absolutely breathtaking...
Or, if you want get to know her a little better, hear her talk and sing in a more intimate setting: She has a wonderful Tiny Desk concert with NPR. These are four songs, I'd love to watch you react to the whole thing, if you think it's too long you might split it into 2 + 2 ...
Or, if you want it short and sweet, here's a timestamp for her last song on that Tiny Desk, called "Buss It Down"... with a gospel vibe! - You're gonna love it! :)
