you should see the video duet. Bunbury disolved his band when he read an article about his band while in LA about how the sound was very well like an american rock band. That pissed him off and he disolved the band and went solo in 1996 until today.

"Honey mascara, to correct the sadness", this lyric is also great. I like this unplugged because has some special details, for example, sometimes they use as instrument the bird cage, the charango, the ukelele, and a mandolin in charge of Chetes, vocalis of Zurdok, uff, I loved it.

Bunbury is a character from a book, Enrique took the last name from there, he's a very talented and weird guy. There's too many cool stories about him. My guessing, he's more a frustrated book writer than a singer.
In every song wrote from him there's a a hidden quote coming from a classic book. He mixes in his stories classical movies, songs, artist.
He even wrote a song as a last song and goodbye letter before committing suicide which never happened.
He likes to take a boat trip crossing the oceans sailing by himself before start recording a new album. He was reckless crossing drugs from Mexico to eeuu just bc he was bored and he made it! And wrote a song about it!

I love how you guys in Europe are so open minded about music regardless of language. I first fell in love with Heroes Del Silencio, with their second album and the song, "Entre Dos Tierras", but the first time I saw them live in 1996, I was blown away by Bunbury, check out "Avalancha" and "Iberia Sumergida" live versions from 1996, not 2007, from their last album. From his solo work, I would also suggest "Big Bang" the original version and the completely different live version. He is truly a musical chameleon, very much like his idol, David Bowie; lastly listen to his cover of John Lennon's "Watching The Wheels", I feel is much better than the original, he also did Leonard Cohen's "Who by Fire"

Hey Frank , dude you should make the Iberia Sumergida live 93 tour version ( on video the intro the crow goes wild , great riff..) that was going to be their final tour (and have been for almost a year and a half touring including 100 shows in US with engineer of Iron Maiden despite health issues of band members they were tight as hell.Or the Oración song live in Senda 91 ep is a really strong powerful performance balanced between the mess of live vibe epic and tight skill display. Finally the Deshacer el mundo song is probably and great scope of the power, skill , poetry and beauty of their music with a great sound from their final album ( the live version on their 2007 after 10 year break world tour including a show in Mexico with 100000 people in foro sol is pretty outstanding.)The same song on MTV unplugged is really really good and shows the craft of the band as real band with the song progression and 2 guitars ..
