As great as Wes was On the field, he was an even greater man Off the field! I had the fortune of living next door to him as a 15 year old kid in Kenner La when he played for the Saints. "Chant" (as his Cousin Chili called him) never beat me at the Mattel Intellivison Football video game, but he tried his best! ;-) Wes, you have no idea how much confidence you built inside my head. You were my Rock when I was younger! Love you man!

We were playing the Eurobowl in London 1988 and got to see 49ers-Dolphins game in Wembley. We sneaked on the field and i got to meet my favourite player Wes Chandler,he was suprised that i knew who was and gave me his gloves, towel and sweatbands. He was super friendly to me,and he changed my attitude as a sportman.

They are in the similar position as Tony Hill and Drew Pearson. Pearson made pro bowls in the 70's. But than Hill started to make pro bowls and left Pearson out. Jefferson started the trend in SD but left prematurely and Chandler stepped in. Would have loved to have seen them both on the same team along with Joiner. Coryell would have had no choice but to play all three of them at the same time in an era when you only played 2 WR's

His agility was insane, dude was made out of rubber bands. Didn't quite have blazing straight line speed but he could run a 4.4 going sideways. Swann, Jefferson and Chandler were all kind of similar in they had super loose rubbery elastic bodies, guys could all jump like deer and make acrobatic catches look easy. I should make my own Hall of fame out of guys that aren't in the Hall of fame. Being a fan of the wr position I would have to put guys like Cliff Branch, Wesley Walker and Stanley Morgan in there as well.
