- NBA play has come to a halt in light of the recent police shooting in Wisconsin. The player strike is being led in part by Sterling Brown of the Milwaukee Bucks, who says the issue of police brutality hits close to home. Bodycam footage shows the night two years ago when cops in Milwaukee used excessive force to arrest him. Brown was thrown to the ground, tased and put in jail for a parking violation. Two years later, Jacob Blake was shot seven times in the back in Kenosha. #InsideEdition

This is a great way to peacefully protest.
I'll give you a better way. I'm no friend of the police, but if people of all ethnicity just follow orders and simply answer appropriately when interacting with law enforcement most of this excessive force cases and shooting wouldn't exist. Believe me I had my issues with law enforcement, but as I got older, I just answered yes sir and no sir and moved on. In other words I didn't get shot. I wish some of this Athletes preached something similar.

I genuinely don’t get it. The Milwaukee guy kept walking around the car when he was told to stop. When he opened the driver seat and reached in, I felt that it was reasonable to believe that he was reaching for a weapon. You just don’t move like that when the police is pointing a gun at you.

Mr. Brown showed no signs of aggressive behavior and was completely compliant... There was no reason to assume he had a weapon simply because his hands were in his pocket. That is absurd and simply giving law enforcement excessive power.
