  • It really doesn't make sense for those interested with trying to build their first AR-15-style MSR. Many have been told they can build one for cheaper. That's rarely the case. You will need to have tools and a proper work area or accessibility to equipment as well as spend tons of research hours trying to build a rifle. In addition, you'll get no warranty or customer service support having to deal with the process of registering your firearm on your own.
It's a lot to navigate if you're trying to DIY your first time. I'm not against building your own firearm, as it provides a level of satisfaction. However, I've seen my share of first builds on the range and often those are the ones that break-down day one. I've seen many shooters frustrated with not having the proper tools to carefully produce a quality product and things wiggle loose just a little too much.

How accurate was that gun? And what ammo did you use?

I was very impressed. It been a great go to rifle. Not picky with ammo and very accurate (I've only done 7-100 yds with this rifle). Been using all kinds of range ammo; Winchester, Remington, Federal, Partizan, Fiocchi, PMC, Browning, New Republic; doesn't matter .223 or 5.56 brass ( I don't recall using steel cases).
