- A 9+ min. looped version of the Clock Tower theme from Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. I kind of like it, but not when I'm kicking ass in this game. Also, I could've added one more lap to it, but it passes the 10min. mark that CZcams allows on my videos, so no dice. Either way, enjoy.

There's hope however, given that Disney discontinued their own ownership of making games with their brands like Marvel and Star Wars.
Whenever it snows, I always have the urge to play this theme. No matter what.

Who would have ever thought this jazz soundtrack would have ever worked?
Very few people did, which sucks. The OST always hyped me up, but in a more "controlled" way than most fighting game OSTs. If you've ever seen Cowboy Bebop, it's kinda like that. Thing is, it's very different and most people aren't willing to accept that; I guess it being one of the first games I ever played helped out a lot, since I had no preconceptions as to how game music should be.

Rap and Jazz work surprisingly well, compared to the generic Rock most games have, it's just too samey and try hardy

Like the river raft stage, there is a different version of the clock tower stage music in the arcade version specifically. Unlike the river raft stage, which isn't extended until the home releases, the clock tower stage music was originally extended in the arcade, but part of it got cut off when hitting to the home releases.

I wasn't a huge fan of this OST back in the day but man has it really grown on me.

The one song I remembered from this game after about 5 years of not playing it. And it's weird for me to remember jazzy a song like this. But it's soooo good!

Oh man I'm having such an nostalgia attack! Waking up on Saturday mornings to play this and watch cartoons. I would give my left kidney to get my Dreamcast and this game again! This, Power Stone, Jet Set Radio and other great classics make me wish the Dreamcast would make some kind of comeback!

Part of that Unique Madness that this game have, is this apparently "Out of place" Jazz .
It just works so good, that i can even Say that MvC2 has one of the best soundtracks in the History of videogames .

never owned this game until i got it on xbox live, around the time this game came out i was like 5 years old and I didn't really get to experience arcades frequently and with overprotective parents they never let us go outside frequently, and anytime I saw this game at the arcades there was usually people playing it all the time, I just got it the other day on XBLA and I can now see the reason why there was always someone playing the game.
I think all of those moves just made the tower collapse in the background.
Chillest fighting game ever...and one of the major reasons I'll never sell my Dreamcast...

I can see what your saying. I see the rock fitting with more of the harder core fighters like Guilty Gear series and other games of the like. I respect everyones tastes in music and in general, you usually don't hear a jazz theme for fighting as a whole even in movies. It's more of that epic, orchestral, climactic score of instruments similar to what you hear in most superhero/action movies for example. But jazz in this case as with Skullgirls to me works rather smoothly.

Why couldn't this Jazzy scheme that MVC2 had be in MVC3 and UMVC3. I do like the new Danger Room stage music with Professor X looking at you in the background and the hand hideout along with Shadowland stage BGM for the Dynamic Setting in the options. Asgard, Asgard Sea Of Space, Metro City/Metro City of Future Past, Shield Airshow and Shield Helicarrier, and Save the Earth/Galactus's Theme also.
Why is mvc 3 soundtracks lame while mvc2 was able to make my parents sing it my dad be like imma take for a lil' ride :)
I find the music in MVC 3 better as there's more variation like Dante's, Spider-man's ect. The stage themes in MVC 3 aren't as memorable though as 2's.
mvc2 came out at a time where capcom was....something else entirely from what it is today.
actually, i think they just had jazz phase where anything and everything of theirs had to include some form of jazz, while current capcom nowadays is hooked on electro.
capcom had way more style back then. mvc2 and cvs2 was on another level in terms of art direction and music
