Damn, how did I only just now find this? This is an absolute masterclass in Batman storytelling in just 20 minutes. Something several animated series know how to do all too well.

@@darrennew8211 you clearly didn't watch the batman 2022, i could give you full lengthy paragraphs on all the detective work/investigating he did, i mean cmon he had over 130 mins of screentime in one movie, and even in the Bruce wayne scenes like the funeral scene hes going there simply cause he knows serial killers like to show up to their crimes/previous crimes which he was right. hes obviously inexperienced though and struggled as most batman do on their first encounters with riddler

Like how he didn't piece together the obvious fact that all of the blackmail photos were taken from the EXACT same spot? He didn't prevent a single murder and played to the Riddler's tune the entire time, always two steps behind. Decent flick, but MASTER detective? Not even close.
i LOVE this Batman.
His combat feels heavy and weighted, it feels like he's actually in a suit of armor that constricts his movement. Reminds me of Arkham Batman almost with how intimidating he is. I would absolutely love a full-length movie of this iteration of Batman.
I love how there’s no need to have big actions scenes involving Batman or giant explosions. It’s just a simple crime investigation I love it.

But... Batman is one of the most consistently well adapted characters... ever. There’s hasn’t even been a bad Batman film so far (we don’t talk about Batman and Robin). Even the shit Snyder films have an amazing Batman. The upcoming Batman looks amazing as well. Not sure how studios haven’t done right by him?

WOW! He directed, Wrote AND stared. His Joker is probably one of the most spot on. Creepy as hell! This was better than most DC/Marvel movies hand down and he didn't have the budget that Hollywood has. AMAZING! Just his movements as the joker was genius. He could just stand there and smile and scare the s**** out of you. And the writing was fantastic. Set design. Other actors were perfect. Directing was perfect. Amazing work.
Other than Heath, no better Joker. Better than Nicholson.

@@youshallnotpass3937 I also love the more animated series and Arkham Gotham's the Animated series being inspired by the Tim Burton tone but doubling down on that 1930s feel while the Arkham series was inspired by the Animated series but combined many elements with Arkham Knight taking a lot of design styles from the 1970s and early 1980s with its vehicles while also having modern designs such the new buildings being built on founders island which is alot like Nolan and Snyder's Gotham. This Gotham i agree is amazing love it much more than the one seen in the DCEU and the Dark Knight films.
Kevin Porter's Batman has it all: the voice, the physicality, the intensity, and he comes across as every bit the detective out-thinking the Joker. And the figure he cuts: his height and build, the suit, I'd be shitting my pants if I ran into this Batman.

The Joker’s facial expressions are wild. He had some really strong moments. Batman feels plucked out of the Arkham games, and that’s a good thing.

Joker's facial expressions were like a magnet, couldn't take my eyes off him. Taking on a huge character as the Joker, especially after seeing the greats portray him, Aaron Schoenke pulled it off.
He's the Arkham game's batman mixed with Ben Affleck's batman. Brutal and intimidating.
The actor has an incredibly expressive face.

I can appreciate the whole grounded and serious thing that they’re always trying to do with Batman but … THIS.
This is what I want from a Batman movie! He looks so menacing and perfect and just amazing. The way the shadows cast across his face. The voice. The everything. The suit is amazing, the cowl is amazing. With 250 million behind these guys this could be a great ARKHAM movie adaptation. It’ll never happen but, man… it would be sickkkkkkkkkk
I absolutely love how Kevin Porter portrays Batman. He’s very, dark and intimidating as Batman. I also love that they got Chris Daughtry to play Hugo Strange. I think it’s awesome that that happened because Chris is a really huge Batman fan too.
This Batman, the way he talks, moves and fights, is one for the books. His voice sounds like the one in the animated series. Warner Bros should consider hiring this group. So authentic!

This was very well done. Porter as Batman and Schoenke as the Joker were excellent. Schoenke's facial movements are more like the Joker than any of the movie incarnations. The plot line was good as was the dialogue. Schoenke gets triple credit for also writing the screenplay and also being a co-director. .
It's a breath of fresh air to see a batman film that looks like the comic pages come to life. Kevin Porter strongly embodies Alex Ross's BATMAN. I'm also very happy to see the Joker return to his Iconic makeup. (or should I say skin?) FINALLY. On top of all of this, the cinematography is completely fitting to create that certain BATMAN Aesthetic.

All I can see like a series like this. The dark Knight files... Or Gotham nights. Or tails of the dark knight. That last entry would be perfect. They can have short stories with different crimes that Batman or Nightwing or even Oracle in the birds of prey could help solve. They get enough of a licensing and good production ensemble plus the funds to be able to do this I would be watching this every week.

The actor who played batman looks a lot like batman: arkham origins batman. He did a good job, a lot of things in here reminds me of that trilogy.

Kevin Porter's Batman is Ben Affleck's body with Kevin Conroy's voice and a better team of writers and directors than Warner Bros. could put together. The "Bat in the sun" team should be given a larger budget. Imagine what they could accomplish.

Apolitical, a fan made film actually made by true fans, not multi-million dollar studios obsessed with injecting politics no one wants to see. I must say, this film and team just put to shame entire movie studios in 25 minutes.
Absolutely amazing. Great nods and subtle references made.
I was captivated since the first minute. Music, acting, directing, costumes, lighting, continuity, editing, visuals, artistic design, boards, make-up and dialogue--just...perfect for me.
The end credit song sung by Ms.Rae was also perfect.
10/10 for me.

The whole point is that criminals stay scared and think twice before doing crime ever again. More effective than killing and showing some scumbag “mercy”.

He´s just missing a bit of acting skills (I don´t know what it was, Ive watched and really enjoyed all his previous portrayals as Batman, but this time I felt some moments were a bit cheesy and over the top... With Joker too :S:S) I guess they just needed a bit more time, to do more takes.

Going back to this every few months is such an experience. Kevin porter is definitely who plays batman the way I want to see and michael Madsen as Bullock is such a good casting and love to see him in things

Holy shit, Michael Madsen is PERFECT as Bullock.
I've wanted him to portray Harvey for a while, especially for The Batman, so I'm glad that he played him in this.
I was just about to type the same thing. Always great to see another amazing actor that put in more than enough time and work cast in a fan film that is just as good as anything else out there! Long Live Bat In The Sun!

I watch a Batman movie and weather I finish it or stop somewhere in between, I always come back to Dying is Easy or City of Scars. I loved meeting you guys at LA Comic Con a few years back.
Im a casual fan of DC. But i can tell that this is the kind of quality that comes from development from people that *really* love and understand an IP. This was Batman.. perhaps more accurately and faithfully portrayed than Hollywood is even capable of. Absolute joy to watch
Definitely the definitive version of the Batman. Amazing fighter, great detective, never kills criminals and most importantly he can talk like Batman. Imo best live action Batman ever put on the screen.
@@priyanshuranjan3088 pick up a comic. The fight lasted 5 secs, there was zero detective skill son display and the the killing argument is beyond old at this point and ridiculous to anyone who's picked up a batman comic.

I'm actually impressed by this production!!! It was well done and well made, and I can see that a alot of time went into the writing, I like how it was slow paced, but still had high action, and I wish it was a full length feature, this could be made into a mini series or a 6 part full length feature!!!
I loved the short interaction between ivy and harley just like the animated series.

But the dialogues kinds seem forced ,that was a good effort,but if the dialogues were short and crisp ,would have been more impactful and entertaining

I actually loved this! Kevin's Batman is, has always been and will forever be breathtaking. Aaron's Joker (while I'll admit it's far from my favorite portrayal) is such a fun version of it.
I love the fight style, the costume, I loved seeing a little Impractical Jokers reference in the 3 police officers names, I LOVED Bullock (how did I never think of it? OF COURSE Michael Madsen would make for a pretty good Harvey Bullock!)

That little hesitation before he puts his hand on the little girls shoulder was beyond brilliant. It's those little things that make a good comic book movie.

@@benparsons4979 it is brilliant because Batman is always hiding his emotions so everyone time in a comic or movie (depends). Meaning he can’t share the emotions with that girl he is just trying to comfort her even comforting her he is hesitant because maybe it reminds him of himself a young boy scared and has no where to go getting comforted by a police officer.
Beyond brilliant is strong phrasing but it is very good characterization. A person who was unaware of the Batman mythos would understand he has interpersonal issues.

Wow, this vision batted the ball out of the park. Truly matches the original feel of the dark night Batman. Loved all the portrayals, especially the Joker and the Batman. You guys need the funds to do the next batman saga. Hope you keep it up and sorry it took this long to see this portrayal.
