I’ve said it 1,000 times. Neil is criminally under rated. Not that guitar players don’t know how great he is. But he deserved more. He is a gifted songwriter and a brilliant guitarist and pianist. And if that’s not enough a genius producer. Thanks Joe!
Good evening , I just read an article about joe Bonamassa. I find it to have to be one of the most real articles I have read about him. I as a fan, listened to his music while driving a semi back and forth through the USA. It was so enjoyable to discover it. I love these articles as I am intrigued to how a persons mind works and how they feel about such achievements made in the music industry. But this one was more on the personal level. A true joy to read.I have total respect and understand just wanting to be themeselves. We idolize musicians of such stature , getting lost and not thinking this person has a life , hopes , dreams . Deserves to be respected in public. The hard work , time and sacrifices made to attain their skills. Our luck to be able to listen and enjoy the product of their craft. Their choice to continue or not. Total respect and fan.
Well said!
Neil and Pat, National Treasures.
Joe and Neil are so under appreciated and underrated in todays world of auto tune and hip hop
please keep and bring real musicians BACK!
Neil and Pat Benatars drummer was Myron Grombacher. He went to my high school and wore a wig because he had long hair and didn’t want to get kicked out of high school because of it.Pat Benatar played the Tommorw Club in Youngstown Ohio when she was just starting to become big.Band hit the stage, crowd rushed the stage and I was crushed against the front of the stage for the first 2 songs.Good Times.
Wow that is crazy. The fact that one could've been kicked out of high school for having long hair.
Neil is very humble and I’m in love with his guitar playing. When he plays he makes it look so easy. Super underrated and he is an impressive top guitar player.
Yeah Nerdville is back! Missed you Joe…. Love the interviews. Cheers
Yes, me too, me too!!!!! ❤️
This is so fun listening to you guys talk about music and guitars! Love it👍
Carlos Santana was on CBS Sunday Morning and said his guitars 🎸 are like a woman. The curves and the very depth of your soul you love your wife and love to play guitar 🎸! It comes together beautifully
I always saw an object you wore by your waist and slid your hand up and down the shaft to amuse yourself and pass the time as just a big electric wizard phallus.
I also don't replace parts of women to better suit my needs like I do on my guitars.
Neil is such a great guitarist!! Love this
Neil sounds really fun. Animated storytelling, loves what he does. Can’t wait to seek out his music.
I credit Joe with introducing me to the art of rock and showing me that it is an art. Also the art of the blues.
Loved how their families introduced them to music very early in life. Supportive families mean so much.
Plus, Joe and Neil worked very hard and paid their dues. Bad advice abounds, but true art stays the course!
Such a great meet. Neil has always been a fave player and he’s an amazing producer. He’s clearly a great fellow and so worthy of his success.
Neil Giraldo😍and you JOE❤️
How amazing great stories you both have😍 Cheers🥂🍾🍸🥃🍷🌟🎄🌟
Love this episode, it was a genuine conversation between guitarists wearing there passion on sleeve. But I am still waiting for the Bona-nerd meets the Rush-geek episode. Would absolutely love to see Joe interview Geddy Lee!!!

Just fantastic, see you on the next cruise Joe. Have been on every one. Keeping the blues alive
Helo From Brasil 🎸🎼🎶🎶
Intro to "Painted Desert" is awesome.
Yes, Joe is a virtuoso! So true. Glad Neil mentioned it! ❤️.¸¸.☆
Hello, how are you??
Sometimes in life we see an artist that has paid their dues and may be unappreciated by the music business...but, we, their fans, know how amazing they are and love them for taking risks with their ART!!! So, guys and gals, don't give up and walk away from everything you love that vibrates in your heart and in your Soul because, we, your fans, need you and your inspiration! Sending much love and light! Dr. Renae
Joe is the Jack of All trades blues artist

It amazes me that Pat and Neil are still not in the R&R Hall of Fame!
It's criminal
Great interview Joe. I really enjoyed hearing from Neil. He is a phenomenal player and embodies the heart and soul of Rock-N-Roll. Thanks for all you do Joe. Appreciate Ya.
Neil is great
In the 80s I really liked some Pat Benatar songs, but I had never noticed that she was or is his wife and that the two of them were working together. I just liked her voice, her songs. You are always good for a surprise 😘
PURE GOLD ! ! !
When JB reached for a guitar at 30:56, I knew it was gonna be a Tele. Neil and Joe, what a couple of great players, but also a couple of great guys.
Mr Joe Bonamassa. Love your playing. It would be a, dream come true to meet you
I remember when Pat sang Heartbreaker on SNL.. I thought man her guitar player really stole the show!..
Always an interesting show loves to hear about other musicians that I have seen in concert the techno stuff is fascinating although I'm clueless, but I do have a talent for loving great music of all genres, fantastic!

Gday from Oz Joe. Hope all is ok in Nashville. Tragic devastation, prayers for all affected.
I must be one heck of a nerd, I dig these....
Even for "non-music industry" people like me I think this conversation is well worth listening to. Thanks Joe and Neil.
hell yea Joe thick as a brick, one hell of a fucking tull album, my fav tull
Same here. Found it in my mothers box of vinyl LP's when I was a teenager. It is a piece of work that stands on its own forever.
That was another great interview.
Marshall 2x12 combo w/EV's - almost like an Ampeg VT22. Great interview - thank you!
JOE BADASSAMASSA!!!
Great interview guys!
Thank you joe
Hey Paisano, Great Interview. You know what else would be great? If you, could get your other Italian brother from Staten Island, Vito Bratta on here!!!
Joe and Buckethead should do a duet album.
Spyder from Cleveland! Major hometown pride!
Excellent interview. Can you give Stephen Stills a call? Would love to see a conversation with you two.
We surely agree...BONAMASSA RULES with a guitar. Personally, it escapes me just how after a song or 2: that the strings remained anything less than molten into a nugget ring or pendant..Keep doing it THE BONAMASSA WA
I love the Fender 65 Twin Reverb Amp.
Hello Joe , great from Germany! 🙂
I just thought the sun glasses make you look cool as hell!
Great chat guys, I could take a lot of that. 👌Respect and stay healthy all.
"Who put 8 great tomatoes in that itty bitty can?
You know who, you know who, you know who"
Neil is the one of greatest olde school KATZ
Interesting how he constructed his solos.....Jimi Hendrix said regarding solos, all they remember is the beginning and the end. ...
Ah First Communion - Got my first record player and a Jackson Five record.
what gauge strings do you use Joe?
I am relieved. I use EV. I thought Joe no longer liked them. My ears must not be quite as bad as I thought
Nerdville!!!!👏👏👏❤❤❤Yippie!!!!!!!!!
Man I hope I look as good as Neil when I am 65
Hello Joe * I understand a bit of your language but not enough to understand everything, is it possible to trigger the translator mode that could complete my understanding of your great shows * Thank you very much **
2 PURE PAESANO'S 😛👍🏻👍🏻
If I'm not mistaken this is the performance Neil was talking about with Johnny Carson's band:

PS man I missed Nerdville!
I went looking too..... I found this one... same guitar. czcams.com/video/1ahmlPfAk1o/video.html
Joe, are you planning a concert in Russia?
North east coast Italians know how to put the pot on and make the gravy.
Will guitar rock ever come bak....prob not....
Try some Weber speakers. Those guys in Kokomo Indiana will make them to your specs.
Joe, can you do an interview without saying "you know" a thousand times? 😉
Great chat guys, I could take a lot of that. 👌Respect and stay healthy all.
