I'm very disappointed by this, I find myself judging all wheat beers to the Aldi Rheinbacher, this doesn't measure up with the flavour levels! I also recently had the Ottinger dunkle wheat beer and it kicks it's arse! This is not an unpleasant beer, but there's no punch to it!
agree, it`s a bit of a non event. Weihenstephan Hefe Dunkel Weiss on the other hand is stunning. Bread, malt biscuit, banana, chocolate etc.. This beer is very disappointing. It's like a dark lager, it's nothing like a weizen, almost non existent banana and clove flavours that are typical for the style. And it's at the price of the other german weizens, which are all incredible and beat this crap by miles.

Tried this today I really liked it caramelised fruit flavours beautiful
To many of these will give you a right clear out the next day.

It's not a wheat beer. Dunkle are just lagers unless it specifies a hefeweizen

It's $3.99, here. The last time we reviewed it, we found it rather dull, but the bottle was bad dated.
Well in Germany it's 1,15€ at the moment which is the equivalent of 1,24 USD. That is quite a difference

Weihenstephaner Dunkel is far superior….blows Erdinger out of the water
