Germany vs Argentina in final of the World Cup in Brazil. This is an analysis of the game by Gary Lineker and his hosts for the day! Germany ARE the WORLD CHAMPIONS
Argentina and germany had easy chances but germany scored with a half chance ...that ball was hard to control and score frm that position...unbelivable finish ever
I don't think that I've ever seen German football players crying for having lost. I might be wrong, but it seems we only cry tears of joy, see 1:55. Klose and Schweinsteiger deserved it so much! I cried.
Watch the semi final in 2006 against Italy. Not only cried a nation, but the team on the field. Real tears. Same in 2010 semi final against Spain. But the tears of joy are much more beautiful. And after their journey together since 2006 and all the effort and contribution, when you finally achieve it and do so so well deserved, the tears if joy and relief are coming. Made me so emotional seeing them so emotional.
@@leampunkt3678 in 2006 indeed the nation cried in 2010 only the team. Spain dominated that match way too heavily to cry over it. I don't think I remember any heartbreaking loss of a german team outside of the Italy Game in 2006.
@@swanpride I bet you cannot name a single one. They outright robbed us in 1990 diving in the penalty area. Also expelling two of our players, so much for fairness...
Germany played Argentina in 1986 (Argentina won after having miraculously been the only team in the WC in Argentina which didn't have to travel at all, while Germany practically had to travel over the whole country - and the sad thing is, those manipulations wouldn't have been even necessary, because Argentine had a great team that year), in 1990 (where Argentina managed to be the first team ever who managed to get red carded in a finale game - and yes, the first red card was a dive, but it was also a concession decision for the well deserved red card which WASN'T given to Argentina beforehand), in 2006 (in which Argentina lost during the penalty kick after which they started a brawl on the field AND managed another record by being the first team with a player which was red carded on the bench), in 2010 (where Argentina lost 4:0 and yes, every second was glorious!!!! the best part was when they were celebrating a goal which was made with no less than 4 players standing offside. Hilarious) and in 2014 (a game which ended with Schweinsteiger looking as if he had been in a boxing ring...at the very latest when the fist ended in his face and he started bleeding there should have been a second yellow card which was never given, after it took ages to even pull the first one). And questions?
I know everyones smarter after the fact, but I've rarely witnessed a group of people being prisoners of the moment as badly as these commentators are here. The way they predicted German dominance of world football for 4 to 6 years after this is mind-bogglingly short-sighted imo and so blind to what really happened there in 2014 in Brazil with this German side. Lineker and the rest were all in agreement that Germany was deserving of the trophy bc they were the best unit, the best organized, the best at working together and not bc of individual talent, but then they predict that individual talent alone will lead this German side to success in the future? What? The vocal leadership figures of this magnificent team (Lahm, Schweinsteiger, Mertesacker, Podolski, Klose) were all past their physical primes in 2014 already, some of them well past. It was clear before the tournament that Germany would suffer an exodus of important leaders from the squad, whether they would've won the trophy or not, and that's exactly what happened. I'm not saying I predicted the massive decline we witnessed, bc I didn't, but dominating world football like spain before 2014 and winning 3, maybe 4 tournaments in a row as these guys suggest here was never a possibility for me.
I disagree. Germany could have easily won 2016 Euro. They were very unlucky against France after dominating first half. They would have never lost against Portugal in the final as France did. Germany did have enough talent, they won the 2017 Confed with almost a B-team. The biggest mistake they made was to continue with Low too long. Spain won in 2010 but for the eye it wasn't very nice football. 1-0 victories all around and passing more sideways and backwards than forwards. This Germanys team football was far more exciting at least for me.
Prob one of the best comments on CZcams futbol. . I have to say there were comments about this from Ballack in the studio afterward where he mentions (young) Gündogan , Goretzka . . This particular iteration of Germany dominated its style a possession based, ultra-pressing 4-2-3-1 . . But the loss of it'S lleadership core (Lahm, Mertesacker, Klose, Schweinsteiger) all at ONCE proved devastating . . As I boarded the plane for Moscow 2018 I was confident with the talent Germany took - fielding 2 deep teams . . But I knew the football gods never let u rule 2 in a row . . And there was a possibility they could crumble for unseen reasons . .Spain 2010 had an amazing leadership core as well but it wasnt pretty football ⚽️ u are right . . 2010 Germany was better to watch and u could see the attacking talent . . Wasn't a cohesive team yet and could never get the ball from Spain in the 2008 Euro Final . . But Futbol always works this way . . Enjoy the Moment . . 🎉cheers Gentlemen 🇩🇪
Ich hab schwarz gewählt. Stell dir vor! Dennoch ist so ein Satz wie oben total daneben. Ich kann mich auch anders dran freuen daß ein Sportteam meines Landes gewonnen hat.
chris bennett Dominance is shown over time mate. To win a tournament like the euro, every game has to go well. Germany beat Italy in an exhausting game und they had a bad day against France (also a very good team). Regarding quality, the Germans have skilled players on every position. Show me another team in the world that has such a team. ;)
I think their assumption was legitimate when you look at how young the team was with an average age of 26. They wouldn't have said that if Germany's average age had been 30+.
This was one of the DULLEST finals I've ever seen. Schweinsteiger spent the entire match falling on the ground and whining, the Argentines were lucky just to be in the final, and the comments about Gotze are hilarious, because NOBODY is talking about him now. Mario WHO? Yawn.
1. Schweinsteiger was the true man of the match. He fought for every ball and led Germany to victory. 2. You are right about Götze, he couldn't meet expectations. But on this day he played better than Messi and scored a brilliant goal which made him World Champion. These are facts.
This Black Guy , is one of the best Center Backs . His Name is Jerome Boateng , his Father is from Ghana , and his Mother is from Germany . He is born in Berlin / Germany , so why ( in youre eyes ) he isn't German ? Of course he is German . He plays for Hertha Berlin , Hamburger SV , and now for Bayern München , in the Bundesliga , what you are talking about ? What is your Point ?
Thanks, I did some research, I know who he is now, but It seems that he is not that spectacular. Check out this " czcams.com/video/7DFbKrqemls/video.html", did he do that on purpose to play funny?
I must tell you something , this guy Worldchampion , Champions League -Winner , multiple times german Champion , and German Cup - Winner . He is one of THE best Centerbacks in the World right now . Do your Homework , bevor you show me his very rare mistakes . Every player make mistakes , even Messi , Ronaldo , Neymar etc.
Argentina and germany had easy chances but germany scored with a half chance ...that ball was hard to control and score frm that position...unbelivable finish ever
I think Schürrle's cross was as magnificient.
Too sad that we screwed up so badly in 2018.
1:55 - Klose and Schweinsteiger crying for joy, it moves my heart
Twenty-odd men kicked a ball around for 120 minutes and at that end, do I really need to tell you, the Germans won.
GUTT!!, Deutschland weltmeister.
Gutt?
krischan67 and now!
Well.....yes.....sometimes. Not always. It would be boring, just like Bayern München in the Bundesliga. It´s really boring.
From all of us here goodnight
'what happened to lio messi'
seedorf: 'you dont play alone' so damn right
I like Gary! Gary is honest.
He doesn't like us, but he admits 😘
i think for the brazils, its much better that Germany got World champion and not rival Argentina :D
That´s true. Even the Brazilians themselves say so.
Imagine If the final was Brazil vs Argentina and Argentina thrashed Brazil 7-1 😂😂😂😂😂
I don't think that I've ever seen German football players crying for having lost. I might be wrong, but it seems we only cry tears of joy, see 1:55. Klose and Schweinsteiger deserved it so much!
I cried.
mueller cried in 2112 or 2010 cant remember..but that doesnt really matter..i know what u mean
Case Klosed... I'm so glad for him a silent and humble striker doing what he has to with little fanfare... at least compared to Ronaldo, Messi, etc...

Can’t believe in the summer it will be 10 years since this World Cup, where the hell have 10 years gone??
You and me both bro I was 9 when this World Cup happened the Peak of My Childhood 😢❤️
Immortal heros!
Imagine getting beat so badly you clap for the opposing team after goal 7, and then support them in the finals
Just brilliant, every single bit of it.
Clarence Seedorf rockin that suit
Looks like he can still play
The germans where in this cup the best!
Die Nummer 1, die Nummer 1, die Nummer 1 der Welt sind wir :)
sadly 'Mario lost his Genius/Talent but still is the Hero of ´14
12:40 ahahah lineker is hillarious
Yes.
Argentina spent time playing very dirty thinking that would help them
Nothing new there...I can't think of a World Cup game Germany had against Argentina in which they didn't try dirty tricks.
Dylinn V if u think that's a penalty, then u know nothing about football.

Linekers joke never gets old :D
I'm English but I'm not. Love you Bayern and Germany 🇩🇪

Germans don’t cry we come back and win
Your argentinian crying since 1990 and now ok again we are waiting for you :) greetings from germany
germans are human too klaus, some cry, some don't.
Sadly Mario joined Bayern which killed his growth... i still hope he will be back to his best soon...
@Colloquial Soliloquy is he back yey
Going to Munich was s huge mistake. All in all it destroyed his career ...
Argentina had their chance to win and missed two sitters
chris bennett They were not sitters tbf
Only Higuain's was actually.
4 yrs later..damn
9 yrs later..damn×2
BBC great
They sure got it wrong over goetze
