  • It seems like everywhere you go someone is talking about plant medicine, or their journey to altered states. But what does Kabbalah and the Zohar have to say about this? We know that drugs can have devasting effects on mind and body, not to mention families. We dig into a contemporary discourse on drugs and plant medicine and investigate the hype in contrast with sage wisdom.

    There is one thing about consciousness-expanding drugs that stands out to me. The experience, while connecting to the Light for sure, doesn't last, and if the connection is a huge leap and hasn't been earned, it can actually set us back.

    I think this content is great and I think it's 27 minutes is a good time or specific topic on average

    This was interesting. Would you say Bread of shame applies to things like winning the lottery or a house.

    • @kabbalah
      @kabbalah  Před rokem +1

      It can... any unearned receiving can result in Bread of Shame if we hold on to it selfishly. We can transform this, however, if we use what we receive as an opportunity to share. If we win the lottery, and we turn around and use a portion of it to share with others, we remove any Bread of Shame or negativity attached to it. Blessings & Light to you.

      I personally don't know enough about it to say anything at all! But if we can find someone who does... we could definitely explore the topic.

    I have mad respect for you guys and listen to your podcast regularly but I think you're out of your depth on this topic. It seems like you don't really understand psychedelics. Psychedelics are not some instant connection to spirituality. There's definitely earning that is involved. Also, I would like to hear more about if Kabbalists used psychedelics in the past to garner their insights. I've heard things that this might've been the case. Every culture in our civilization has used psychedelics except the current western one. Also, do Jews not use wine during their ceremonies? You didn't really comment on the role of this in spirituality. I would love to hear more of a nuanced and in-depth conversation on the topic.
    IMO psychedelics can assist people to deepen their spirituality and connection to God outside of the use of it. It's doing miracles to transform peoples lives for the better. For me personally is what convinced me undeniably that God exists, and has helped me deepen my relationship with him, in every day life. And it's helped me understand Kabbalistic principles to a degree that I wouldn't just hearing you guys speak about it.
    This is the first time I've ever commented on CZcams. I think this topic deserves better consideration.

      You're spot on. We never know everything about a topic we speak on; one of the challenges that come with inhabiting a body! But I can speak to the depth we covered in the episode. Everything in creation has a purpose - including psychedelics. I do know people who have used them for both medical and recreational purposes, and upon that basis shared what I shared in the episode.

      I agree completely and it is impossible to compare sacred plant medicine to any other kind of drugs as it has the exact opposite effect : connection instead of de-connection, and no addiction but rather they help remove all and any other addictions - like sleeping pills television or any other street drug.
      There would be so much more to say but definitely not the best episode.
      I guess bottom line is you have to know what you’re talking about.
      Many thanks and respect for every thing you are doing and every other episode. This is the one and only I’ve heard I feel is off track.
