We intentionally did not show her once we removed the final red cloth covering. This is because she was wrapped with just a turmeric thread around her. It did not feel right to us, hence we added back the Gudi case and made the necessary arrangements, decorated her, offered fruits and flowers and then we showed her. Whatever the viewers see in the final video, that's how she is, no element is hidden in unboxing. Even in temples, the diety is shown only after necessary arrangements is made and we have presented her in the same way.

How many wicks do you use to light the lamp? Sometimes I find using twin wicks gets a bit too tight and the lamp goes off after a few minutes. Is it okay to use a single wick? Also, is it okay to take off the original lamp and light another of your own instead?

Please guide me regarding the placement of devi gudi at home. I have a few questions, please advise.
Q 1. Can I keep devi gudi on a wall mounted rack?? Or is it necessary to keep her on a solid base like floor, table etc.
Q 2. Which direction is good for placing her? Our temple room is in the North East zone of the house.
Q 3. Actually I can't place it in my temple room as the family will not allow me to go inside during the menstruation period as other Gods and idols are also there. But if there is no other option, and I have to place the gudi in the temple room... Then during my menstruation days, on behalf of me can other family member lit the lamp and offer the pooja??
