KYOSHO (My) First MINI-Z. RX-7 vs Sambar: Fancy Toys or Fancy Fun?

- Hey friends! Kyosho First Mini-Z have dropped into my lap. A beauty RX-7 and a Subaru Sambar truck. Both RWD with hard rubber tires. Semi proportional steering via a tiny motor and spring system ( not great). These are real Mini Zs though. Just not the Hobby grade ones. Lets see how they do on a little indoor home course action.

Ah yes! The Subaru Sambar! That is exactly why I got it! Amazing. However I have to fine a proper Mini-Z that the body fits on. IE: the correct length. Cheers!

Hey! Admittedly they are fun. Buy the toy grade chassis falls a little short. I really just bought them for the bodies :) After trying out the proper hobby grade Mini-Z you really see it is worth paying more for quality and the ability to upgrade and race. Cheers

🤣 That big ol'doggo rug! Yeah, it took a while for her to get used to these little cars. They are fun for sure, however the chassis are definitely toy grade. The bodies alone can cost what both of these cost alone lol. I had a long and exciting music career (about 30 years) then it took its toll on me so I sort of retreated from the lifestyle. As for the piano, I dabble, but I am more strings and percussion. (PS: This is Lady of Mauzyrock's parents house on mainland Canada) Thanks mate! love the feedback!
I had a couple questions . Then I read the response to Marks comment. lol So 1. Tell me about the pup. Looks like a Golden doodle to me or a Labradoodle?? I would be very interested in knowing who you played with in regards to Strings and Percussion. ;) A 30 Year career? WOW anyone I would know from the area? great little rigs bud. a bit of fun for those snowy days. THumbs up
Hey! That is my lady's mom's doggo. You are right! Golden Doodle. Such an awesome dog that one. Personality galore! As for music, I've played with many, shared many a stage. Moderate success for a while. Played a lot of world music, with some African friends and local alike, was in a touring band and went all over, but the longest gig ( rarely ever play anymore) has been with my long time friend Colleen Power. 30 years more or less we've played together. These Mini Zs are fun, but I got my hands on some proper ones, and they are Day and Night better. Trying to figure out how to best showcase them. Need some room on a slick floor somewhere to get some video.
