We found out about Hyatt Zillara through this video and Janet helped us with the booking. We are currently at the resort and it does not disappoint. They are not exaggerating the food is the best we’ve had at an all inclusive (and we’ve done a lot of the chains in DR and Mexico). The people are warm and friendly. Great vibe. Not crowded which is what we love. Thank you Penyak travel for recommending and planning a great vacation for us.

I have been looking at this resort for a few months debating Ziliara Secerts or Sanctuary. Because of something you said on your podCast which I am a listener . You said that the food and service here is as good as Leblanc . My Wife and I LOVE Leblanc Cabo been 3 times . If I can find a hotel like Lablanc Cabo then I’m in Heaven . Yes I know they have one in Cancun but don’t like being I. The Hotel zone in Cancun . Booked my 60th birthday at Cap Cana for October

On your question we would give Zilara the edge over Secrets Cap Cana, both are great, however the food at Zilara is really REALLY good in our opinion. If you’ve been to Leblanc and love it, Zilara is going to give you a closer experience to that than Cap Cana or Sanctuary would. We would choose Zilara. Hope this helps!

Who is the transportation company that you used? Because I am going there in a couple of weeks and would like to book transportation from the hotel when I arrive and then from the resort back to the hotel on my departing day. Thank you.
If you want to do a private transfer (with your hotel, say) and you also want to do the VIP service through the airport, how do you go about it? Any advice for doing both?
Question about the beach. Are there umbrellas or any sort of shade? All I see are a few scattered palm trees. We love to spend part of our day on the beach but definitely need some shade. This resort looks fantastic!

Hello. I have heard great things about Zilara but wanted your take on pool and hotel atmosphere, vibes, party scale from 1-10,...My wife and I love pool and Lively atmosphere but don't want to sacrifice elegance, service and food. My brother stayed at Zilara in Cancun and loved it, said the pool was live and played pool volleyball every day. Any other resorts you know of that would fit our needs? We don't want to be around super older crowds like Breathless or resorts like that but more younger to middle aged. Thanks so much and awesome video!
Hey Scott! Thanks for tuning in! Typically Breathless resorts are geared towards younger crowds, they are owned by the same company that owns Secrets and other chains, they have breathless as their party resorts. The Hyatt had a great mix of both, quieter in the evenings, but very high quality food, some of the best we’ve had. Atelier in Cancun would be worth considering as well, very lively night club.
Can you use Hyatt Ziva amenities and pools as well?
Hello! Found your video and loved it. My husband and I are planning a big 15 year anniversary trip as well as a trip to celebrate us both turning 40! We haven’t taken a trip alone (without our kids) since our honeymoon! We have never done an all inclusive resort. Is there one place/resort that really sticks out that you would recommend for this trip? We are open to any location. Kind of leaning towards the Hyatt Zilara Punta Cana, but then came across the Le Blanc Los Cabos. Which would you recommend? Or is there an even better one? We are total rookie travelers and need advice! Thanks!! 😊😊

do you know if there is any activities off the property like excursions, hiking, waterfalls, etc
Hi! Thanks for watching! Punta Cana offers a lot and is one of the best values in the Caribbean. Off resort there’s some fun zip lining excursions, horse back riding, historical sites, off road dune buggy tours, and more. If you really like hiking, consider St. Lucia as well, we hiked the piton mountains there, we have some footage of it on this channel. 2 hour hike up and 2 hours down, very challenging but FUN!

Hey! They had it set up on the beach one day on the Zilara side of the resort. I’m not sure it’s something they offer daily as part of their activities, it may have been something special they had setup for a day.

I understand this is all inclusive did you have to pay resort fees when you got there? Or did you have to pay environmental taxes? Did they have Covid testing on site? Do you need passports? Are all the restaurants QR code scan for their menus? When would be a good time to travel to Punta Cana?
Most restaurants had the QR code. Most resorts do have a small environmental fee ($1/day-ish), I don’t recall the exact amount here, so it was minimal to none. Covid testing is onsite. Yes, you absolutely need passports. Punta Cana pools can be alittle cold in the winter months.
Hi. Great video! I listened to your podcast on the resort and I am sold. I was looking at the pics of the rooms though and the shower is glass and seemingly see through. I am traveling with my friend, is there an option to make the shower private? Seemingly it seems it has a nude slide but can you confirm? Much appreciated
Hi! Thanks for watching! It’s a great resort!! There is a sliding door to cover the glass shower door. There are not any nude areas of the resort. There’s a water park at the sister resort next door called Hyatt Ziva. That’s a family friendly resort and the water park is mostly for kids. Hope this helps! ☺️
If you had to choose between Zilara or Secrets, Cap Cana which one is your favorite? My cousin and I were at Le Blanc Los Cabos last month and loved it! Looking for a 2023 vacation for two single women in our 50's.
Hi! Thanks for watching! We LOVE Le Blanc! Choosing between Cap Cana and Zilara we would choose Zilara. Both are great but Zilara would be our choice. We stayed at Cap Cana right after leaving Zilara. Hope this helps! ☺️

What do you recommend for tipping at this resort? Drinks, Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Maid.
Hi!! We typically do a $1 per drink, a few dollars at breakfast/lunch, the dinner service was always fantastic here so $5 or more sometimes depending on if we got a bottle of wine at dinner. $4/$5 a day for the maid.

We were looking at reviews of the Ziva in Los Cabos and heard the food wasn't that great. Have you stayed at multiple Hyatt Ziva/Zilara locations and if so, how would you compare the Cap Cana location for food quality?
Hi, we’ve toured the Los Cabos resort we’re impressed with it (we didn’t try the food), but we’ve been to hundreds of other resorts and can say that Cap Cana food quality is certainly of the best. We’ve also heard similar feedback but we haven’t experienced it ourselves.
@@PenyakTravel Thanks. We are really on the fence at the moment between Los Cabos or Punta Cana. Even the Secrets resort in Punta Cana sounds interesting. Paradisus sounds iffy based on reviews I've read. Also looking at the brand new Secret Moxche in Playa Del Carmen
@@absbica31 out of all the ones listed we’d suggest Hyatt Zilara. We are actually going to the new secrets in about two weeks. So we will have some content and feedback on that after that trip. You could consider Le Blanc Cancun as well, that’s a fabulous resort with excellent food.

How do you view Zilara Cap Cana vs Atelier Playa Mujeres? Overall? Layout? Food?
Hi Tim, both of the resorts mentioned ranks in our elite tier or all-inclusives. Atelier may have slighly more activities, food is equal, Zilara has a sliiiighly better beach, but honestly nit-picking here. They are both amazing, cant go wrong with either! Atelier has an amazing golf course on-site!

Hi Clt_jojo! The price for Secrets Cap Cana (neighbor resort) is around the same for Hyatt Zilara. Hyatt has slightly better food in our opinion. We just released a podcast on comparing the two resorts (Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana to Secrets Cap Cana). That may be a helpful resource to you as well. ☺

Hi!! Thanks for watching the video! We stayed in a club ocean view junior suite. They do have events at the beach and shows nightly. The martini bar is typically the place to be at night. I wouldn’t call it a night club but we enjoyed it!! Hope this helps!
How was the nightlife on or near the hotel?
Hi!! Thanks for checking out our channel!! The resort has entertainment each night but there’s not too much night life outside of that. Coco Bongo is a famous night club that is about 30 minutes from this resort. The resorts on Bavaro Beach are a little closer if you’re looking for something close to nightlife. Hope this helps!! ☺️
