Thanks for the great review and kind words! I am really glad you like it.
JoergSprave Hallo Joerg! Richtig tolles Gerät. Notice me senpai...
Joerg!
We need a commercial variant of this magazine in your webshop, Jörg! Together with a nice compound bow. SHUT UP AND TAKE MY MONEY!
Thanks for sharing this video with me Joerg! Laugh heartily hahaha!
It seems very easy to reload as well, especially after you shortened it for him. Very well done Joerg. 10/10
The laugh isn't even optional
It just involuntarily leaves the body
It is required to make it function.
All of Joerg's creations cause involuntary laughter in the wielder.
He should make weapons for the JOKER.
When you progress civilization without unlocking all the technologies in one era
And then come back again to unlock it for the lols
Haha yeah I wonder how much we haven't unlocked
Still useful to unlock other tech tree
Then using them on an opponent for the lols.
beelining and avoiding leaf techs
Welp, this is the reason why I like advancing to Castle age fast *Age of Empires reference *
The Scotts had bagpipes. The Romans had horns. The Joerg army will intimidate via hearty laughter.
Imagine a Roman legion facing the Spraveian Army. After assembling battle formations you just hear thousands of them heartily laughing and then saying "LET ME SHOW YOU ITS FEATURES" in unison as countless arrows fly towards you.
*slaughters enemy soldiers with heartly laughter*
He’s recruiting all these CZcamsr generals too :/

They both did say that they thought a well trained archer with a standard quiver would be able to outdo this device, so your training wasn't wasted.
@@CowCommando and with this device they will fire even faster
@@frederickateng3779 reload time would actually slow you down overall if you were fast enough without the magazine.
@Tim Homer but army wise would it be worth the effort to highly train the archers that much, when with the same resources of these instant Genghis khans could probably train 3 times as many archers to only fire slightly slower individually?
@@GummieI depends on if you have a standing army or not and how many people you can field in the first place.

@Paraponera T. WoW should definetly model a low level hunter quest giver off him. Would be awesome.
There's something a bit intimidating about seeing someone you know is a high level archer holding an automatic bow.
well concept is good but imagine in mid-twelfth centuries faction war in Asia "reloading" that thing on horseback while its galloping and enemy at your throat with his horse , sword , and bow with normal Quiver ... i don't think you can win that while reloading that magazine ... it might have proven useful in siege and stationary battle with swapping archer but still with mastery they had over their bow i doubt it will be faster than normally shooting more that "4" arrows.
@@velosong3396 the thing is it can actually be improved a lot, you can make it thinner and taller so more arrows can fit while beig easier to hold/shoot maybe leaving a wide/auto guiding recharge point so you could recharge without even seeing idk
You can check in joerg's channel that he made an evolution of this and now he has 6 shotsa, but again that can be improved.
@@sergiosierra6849 yes it can be improved as you said but i still doubt skilled archer would have this over quiver during mounted warfare during mid twelfth century even if they had it as "option" but who knows maybe lighter frame with same amount of arrow inside each magazine and instead of reloading magazine replacing it may improve performance but in my option due to different arrow shape and size they used during that period i doubt it will be useful. At least to my knowledge of arrow and bows of Asian nomadic tribe wouldn't benefit from this design.
@@velosong3396 u can have an assitant and 2 bows with cartridge, he spots the enemy and while ur firing covers ur flank while reloading ur next magazine (now number 2)
fuck horses, ride elephants and have a creew of archers with these bows and assistance for reloading, actually scratch eveything - make me King of the Army Im goin in dry
This Legolas Magazine screams "German Engineering" with a laugh on it.
since its redundant, too large and can be easily compensated for it's absence bit a little skill? Huns used this technique before they settled the germans where they are today.

Hmm like the beehive box in China. It's not versatile enough for such rugged times I would assume.
@@SnakingIvY I think you haven't seen his actual device . This is just the instant genghis khan . His actual compound mag device is pretty damn rugged . What he built for self defense is the most impressive thing he has designed. Simple co2 pistol that shoots small bolts at lethal speeds for countries that are not Free !
@@jesusoftheapes ya your right. I have not seen that. But I am also only talking about ancient history application. Compound bows would be near impossible to build back then
@@SnakingIvY of course . So were the pyramids . The tech of ancient man is lost and while the mongols were behind the loss of tech and wouldn't have had much tech beside the actual bow itself I assume someone back then was working on multi shot weapons . Compound bows take metal machining of course .
@@jesusoftheapes in my country, Italy, there are restrictions on air guns, they are totally free to buy until you reach a certain pressure power threshold, from that point up they are considered weapons. Besides, any potentially dangerous item is considered a weapon depending on the situation, for example carryng an axe in the woods or contryside is okay, carryng it while walking around tge centre of the town is not. Lawmakers aren't idiots.
And in the next competition we see NUSensei using an competition bow with a magazine while the others stare wondering wtfisthat.
I want to see that!
Only if it's a four limbed centre firing compound bow though :)
Itd proly only be allowed for a half time show or smthn lmao
it's like the love child between a crossbow and a bow. It's has a faster release rate then a crossbow, but is easier to use then a regular bow.

This can be devastating if this is used in old warfare, imagine a line formation, the first row shoots, then followed by another row while the first wave is reloading.
Oh my gah. An archery unit of 2,000 could decimate an attacking army of, like, 20,000, in just a few minutes. Even shred cavalry.
Imagine a arrow rain with this, holy shit
Also you can put shorter arrows in it so the enemy can´t use the the arrows agains you.
Imagine if the magazine was one meter tall with hundreds of bolts and then a crank oir something that someone cranks and the arrows are triggered super fast like a Machine gun, it would be stationary and someone else would be aiming but ya. like a machine gun but with arrows and a crank
XIAO
He made that.
A foot archer with a standing shield a couple of these and a squire constantly reloading could be a virtual machine gun
Yup. Same with two rows of archers firing in turns. It took Nu 10 seconds to reload (leisurely) and 7-8 seconds to take four aimed shots. Assuming a more powerful bow took slightly longer to shoot, two rows of archers could keep up a non-stop hail of bolts until their quivers were all empty.
Nu's rate of fire here was 16 bolts per minute, reloading included. Two rows of archers could thus maintain a steady rate of fire of around 32 bolts per minute or more.
Even if it took twice as long to shoot a more powerful bow, at 15 seconds per maganize, the rate of fire would still be impressive. That would be around 10 bolts per minute with a single row of archers and 16 bolts per minute with two alternating rows of archers.
And that's just with the rate of fire that Nu demonstrated in this video without even attempting to be fast. With training and haste those numbers would go up.
that was tactic used by nobunaga when fighting takeda army in nagashino.
the different is they using musket with 3 rotating people.
@SpaceForceGames Actually you'll be surprised how a lot of musket adopting nations back then never figured that out and still use volley fire until they saw someone else use it. (or you can be the Chinese and use them as clubs after one volley. Then think they are magic by the Qing Dynasty since they stopped using gunpowder weapons.)
@SpaceForceGames I guess that would depend on the type of musket used, loading method, skill of the musketmen, what you are firing at under what conditions.
@@4Leka You need twice the amount of sharp shooter and bow to make your set up work. Using this device, only need the best archer to do the shooting, thus increase the accuracy, while the less trained soldier do the reloading to maintain the rate of fire.

Great Review !!! :)
Dude if he made that 1000 years ago whatever nation he would be a part of could take over the world
Not protected? If any of the great nations that have been around throughout history had this they probably could of took over the world
Chinese made a Chu Ko Nu, basically a crossbow version of this and it fire much faster, effectively made even a peasant kid capable of beating a group of bandits. Despite that, they still got overran by Mongols, rapid firing bow doesn't work unless you can have at least as much penetration as normal bow.
@@CrnaStrela You kinda forgot that due to being made easy to crank & fire, & at goddamn fast speeds, the Zhuge Nu has low projectile velocity & goddamn shitty accuracy. It's good when used in formations to rain arrows on enemies, but can hardly do shit on its own.
That magazine just eliminated the 2 glaring weaknesses that prevented Zhuge Nu from being used everywhere, while not sacrificing any of the bow's original specs.
There are a lot of other factors in war than firing speed, ammunition or number of archers. This would give an advantage, but that is all. The Mongols had many other advantages.
@@CrnaStrela Chu Ko Nu was a slow and not very powerful crossbow, the idea was almost there the execution was just poor, this on the other end uses normal bows, doesn't remove penetration strength but in the other end, increases firing speed, is a totally different idea. This coupled with good military tactics like the romans add, would make any country militarily invincible. Petty that came way way late.
Wow. You shot 8 bolts in exactly 30 seconds - and that's with a rather leisurely reload in between. I imagine you could sustain that rate of fire quite easily. So a sustained fire of 16 bolts (or more) per minute with technology that would have been available in the Medieval era, all without needing highly trained archers to do the shooting. I can't even imagine how that would have revolutionized warfare in that era!
Actually, it is almost crossbow but better because of the rate of fire
I bet if the mongols invented that everyone on the globe would be speaking mongolian today xD

I remember seeing the comments on how yall should do a collaboration. Glad you did.
Lol. I love your "arrow is now discharged" sounds.😄
Just found this video, been watching Joergs progress for some time. I think that this would be also useful for horse archery in combination with mongol taxtics. You could close in, get four shots in quick succesion, then feign retreat from range, safely reload, rinse and repeat until enemy is an army of hedgehogs. You could get more shots in less time, which means less time for enemy archers to counter you with larger foot infantry bows. You have zero chance to reload a crossbow in the time you can discharge four accurate bolts from this. Also, no-one except crossbowmen could use the bolts to shoot back. In open field battle with enough ammo, this would be even more owerpowered than regular horse archers, combining advantages of crossbow with drawlength of a compound bow, shooting faster than any of those two. I guess you could make magazine a bit bigger, but that could become too heavy and cumbersome. This looks perfectly fine and usable. 10/10 would not want to face this on the battlefield.
