    You have the best videos. I never understood how compression worked. I always used the presets. Thank you for making it easy

    Amazing how Reacomp is all you need without buying expansive compressors.

    Really great video. All though, I would really appreciate it if you or anyone could help me out with how the Ratio and the Knee Size works in this plug-in and within the compression in overall.

      Yas Plz. I know that the greater the ratio it means the More gain reduction is taking place. But what is the practicality of this here?

    Hey, can you tell if the Output CLIPPS in reality, or is it just a preventiv Alarm Signal. In my Ears i cant really hear a Distortion, but just wondering what the Truth is.. ThNX!

      After the comrpession you inster the volume vst and bring back so it doesn't clip in that particular track

  • @XCenturionX
    @XCenturionX Před 7 lety +1

    It's all good and dandy if you're working with a song that has that one beat alone. But what if you're working with a song that has different tempo changes? How would you go about compressing it?

  • @KaiKai-pc1sl
    @KaiKai-pc1sl Před 3 lety

    so if you put the release too fast, then its not compressing as much because the release being too fast doesnt give it as much time to compress as much correct?

    • @Byronic19134
      @Byronic19134 Před 5 lety

      RMS is the average DB/volume of the sound instead of just the peak.

    good video, but what happened to "mixing in context? Is it really useful to work on all those different tracks isolated and out of context?

    • @saxmidiman
      @saxmidiman Před 9 lety +5

      +Ike Haze I sorta thought that also, but I think Kenny was basically focusing on compression explanation, which I already kinda understood, but really got the idea watching Kenny. He just really explains well! I am guessing the way to go is do this first, then after you bring tracks together, fine tune the compressors in context.

      +jammer2nd That may be some "magical" editing. It gets a bit boring watching me do the same thing over and over. So I tend to show it the correct way once and get fancy with the "magic" after that.
