Plein air painting Cayucos Beach Day 2

On a recent visit to Cayucos I discovered how challenging it can be to paint at the beach. The first painting day was a disaster with my easel falling over and the tide coming in. The second day (this video) I discovered that the ocean does not hold still and you just have to invent the wave pattern that you want to portray. I can't admit to success but I definitely learned a bunch (and got a sunburn). #painting #oilpaintingdemonstration #cayucos #oceanpainting

That was a great painting! I agree with you on the lack of point of interest, still reads very well. I would leave it like that tho, and go back, and try to place a point of interest this time. Great job!
