That little girl is, what, seven years old, and acting at Meryl Streep level. She deserved an freakin' Oscar for that performance. Maybe the best zombie movie ever made.

Three quarters of the things that I have seen from South Korea have tear-jerker endings. Effective tear-jerker endings, but tear-jerker endings nonetheless. A film culture borne out of national trauma will probably do that.

If you notice the movie took great pains to show that the virus had to affect the brain and that affected the time to turn into a zombie. The first girl to turn and the bad ass husband both got bit on the extremities and had tape or a rope constricting blood flow to the bite. They turned slower - in minutes.
Everyone who got bit in the neck turned almost immediately as the virus was carried directly to the brain.

Love this high paced, non stop fast zombie fest! The acting with the girl was awesome. How sad at the end when she lost her dad and was singing her song finally. Her dad missed her performance earlier but it came around at the end to save her. Its ok to cry, but I get it, not on camera. Love the beefed up dad to be and him going out like a boss! My fav character by far!!

Ma Dong-seok (Don Lee) is Korean-American and moved to the United States with his family at the age of 18 and has lived in Texas, California, and Los Angeles.
In the United States, he coached weight training for UFC champs Mark Daniel Coleman and Kevin Christopher Randleman, and worked as a personal trainer in the past.
And he starred in the Marvel movie "Eternals"

8:00 they pointed it out with the first lady who hopped on the train. She got bit in the leg, tied that around her thigh, which kind of delayed her turning.

I love the commentary on class. The higher class like the villain and dad towards the beginning only care ab themselves and are willing to sacrifice others in order to survive while the lower class like the homeless man, conductor, and dad towards the end will work together and sacrifice themselves in order for others to survive

That MVP guy with the pregnant wife - Ma Dong Seok/Don Lee, he's Gilgamesh in The Eternals!
Korea has been making a lot of such thought-provoking and really very entertaining media. Which is why you really should check out Squid Game. The hype for it and its insane popularity is well-earned. I hope you'll consider it.

The man who directed this made some animated movies as well. I saw The Fake and it was...it was rather grim.
Baseball boy played Kevin in Parasite.
Also, the actor who played the first zombie on the train was the lead in a movie called Queen of Walking. Released in the same year as this, she played a high school girl who had to walk everywhere because she could not travel in or on any form of vehicle without getting sick. So, of course, here she plays a woman who infects an entire train.

I'm sorry the second time the kid complains while I'm trying to save her life from a horde and calls me selfish she's being thrown into the pile of zombies. Don't as a 7 yr old child take the time while trying to escape to try and chastise me on why I'm not alerting people to a safe way out. Maybe I don't want us trampled by ppl trying to get away from flesh eating infected. It's like little girl neither parent wanted you to go to Busan, you were the only one making a fuss about going even after the mom said no, so sorry that I'm trying to get us out of a situation that you put us in but can you keep your holier than thou attitude in check until we reach a safe zone where I can discuss how and why no 7 yr old sets the rules once and for all
