- This is Day 2 at CES 2024 and we were invited to check out a new hydrogen/electric truck and full autonomous race cars!
We start off in the @recaroautomotiveseating booth and I lay down some more laps on their sim and meet some of the Nissan engineers. We also had to pass by the Clarios booth to hang with the Optima Batteries homies and see what new technology is coming out from their end.
We then got a ride in @NikolaMotorCompany truck and it was VERY impressive! We are looking for a new rig and this became one to consider. So, I wanted to give me honest feedback of the truck and opinions on where the automotive community is going.
Last, Recaro brought us to check out the fully autonomous race cars and we snuck into the pits to get a more up close look! We also linked up with another Formula Drift driver and hung out for a bit!
Overall, CES was an interesting experience and we learned that it is the biggest automotive show in the country now. So we're stoked to bring the content your way!

I love driving, I love cars, engines, engineering, mechanical movement. Most people don’t. Sad to see something I love fade away, but nothing last forever, enjoy it and be done. Don’t waste what time we have left crying about doing nothing, much love.

Seems like a better option so far! I'm still curious on EV as well.
there is absolutely zero fun in watching autonomous racing.... holy crap thats lame. might as well just turn on a video game and watch it race itself.
Actually speaking on that, they said that they want to implement a human vs AI on track. Maybe sim augmented/virtual reality and race them in live time? Might make it more fun for a bigger crowd!
That's just what It's gonna do so don't take this SHIT AS A JOKE!
Humans will always be apart of racing. Even if it gets to the point of Humans vs AI. The developers themselves said that it would be too predictable if it's purely only AI.
