@@MilitantOldLady First you have to be earning enough money to be able to dodge significant amounts of taxes, and even that's a stretch. But if you somehow manage to report about 200k in business expenses that never happened, and you don't get caught with not paying any tax on that money, then yes, sure, you can get a Bentley instead of a Raptor

As much as I miss the Grand Tour, I did notice while watching Jeremy Clarkson's Farm that he really did seem happier on the farm
He seemed completely out of his comfort zone, but the minute he got behind that car and raced across his fields he seemed absolutely elated like a child. His work is driving cars - he’s done it for 30+ years, I think he treats that like a job, and the farming as a lifestyle. Which is probably why he enjoys it so much
tbh Clarkson, May and Hammond have done about 1000 interviews or comments in papers each where theyve admitted theyre sick of eachother and dont really enjoy working together. May seems to be the one who enjoys working with them the least, as ive seen about 100 things in the last year of him talking about how bad/annoying it is. and with Hammond having his Extraordinary places show, May having his man in Japan show, and clarkson having Clarksons farm i think it shows that theyre slowly drifting apart. i love the Grand Tour Specials, but getting 1 and a half hours every few years is nothing when they could atleast be doing a 20 episode season (thats the standard most other shows follow) with 1-2 specials a year. i think theyre also at a point where they have so much money thanks to Bezos paying them almost 200x what they earned with the BBC that they just dont need to work anymore.

They've gone on record that it's more that they've worked together for like 20 years, they know the tormenting each other and teasing is what gets them more ratings, and that they avoid spending time outside of work so they get some space each other. (unless you don't understand hyperbole and take James May's "The show works because we hate each other" quote as literal).
At this point in their lives they've spent forever with each other in some of the most dangerous, stressful and trying challenges they can think of. They don't hate each other, they just respect that they don't have to be besties outside of work.
When Hammond had his crash in the F1 car, they were the first to the hospital and made sure they were both there for him and his wife during the entire thing. If you watch the footage of Hammond rolling the electric car and it catching on fire, you can hear the panic and concern that's in James May's voice when he realizes that he can't see Hammond.
They don't have to love each other as much as we love them, but frankly they shouldn't have to. But they don't hate each other by any means.
*That Bentley is unironically the most badass car Clarkson has ever made. I hope he can keep it.*
That car was originally used in a Grand Tour Episode: A Massive Hunt.
Unfortunately there’s a law from the DVLA saying that as the Bentley is a test mule, he can’t keep the car. It is however on display at the Bentley factory in Crewe, England.

I think Charlie summed it up perfectly when he said "You've got loads of friends here" - at that point he sort of captured the mood of everyone. It's not the perfect farming operation and it's a bit catastrophic, but it was still absolutely brilliant. The whole of Clarkson's farm for me was a reminder that there's beauty in dysfunction, as long as you remember to see it when it's there.

There's plenty of good mobile phones have done for us, everyone (especially the media) loves to point out the negatives however because its a better narrative. I'm not saying there aren't any negatives as there are definitely some, but life without mobile phones would not be an overall benefit

I did like that James’ series in Japan mentioned Hammond once, this one name dropped James and Hammond’s “survival” series had a character called Clarkson. A little circular nod to each other!

As much as I usually don't like off-road modified supercars, that Bentley is just the definition of badass! Easily one of the best cars of the show.
I love how Jeremy put his alpha gtv6 in a container to protect it and make sure that NO ONE can drive it but him

I liked how The Excellent was just There in some of the episodes, they didn't mention it or anything it just seemed to be his way of getting around on the farm. Bless The Excellent, such a great car

he’s just doing his harvest now, so I’d give him another month to finish the actual filming, then there’s probably two or three months of editing, and then marketing when he will release it. But I’d say maybe January.

I guess what I meant was, beyond the stuff he can't control such as weather, if there is to be another season, I hope it's not just him with the same problems again - I only got one truck to pick up my harvest when I should have had a dozen, I should have built a bigger barn, I'm selling stuff in my shop that I shouldn't be and so on. I'm hoping for all new (but equally hilarious) problems.

I've watched Clarksons Farm about 4 times...and even though I know what's gonna happen I near on pee my pants laughing everytime.
I like to imagine a warehouse on this Earth with all the vehicles from both GT and TG where the crew and cast can visit whenever they wish. If this place exists make it public lol.
I bought my car because of Clarkson's review of it. It was the point where he was sideways in a big cloud of tyre smoke shouting "This thing has so much torque it could tear a hole in time" that I realised it was the automobile for me. Several years later I've still got it.

@@jamieriches4405 Sorry bud, but no, Coal is not better than Diesel. That's what most power plants run on, therefore that's the real fuel of these electric cars. Germany is currently the leader in renewable energy in terms of usage. Of their total power production, 12% of it is from renewable sources, which is great, but it neglects the reality that 88% of their power still comes from Coal. The UK, is right around 11%, the USA is about 4%, the vast majority of the world's power comes from fossil fuels, i.e Coal.
The direct CO2 emissions from burning Coal, depending on where it's from ranges from 95-115 kg/GJ, Diesel is 74 kg/GJ, Natural Gas is 55 kg/GJ, Gasoline is 69 kg/GJ.
Coal is objectively the worst bud, and it's the primary fuel used by the power plants that power your electric cars, it's amazing that so many people are naive to this reality when Clarkson goes off on it very frequently.

Yeah. It's not better than the diesel that's used to mine the nickel, zinc, and lithium, that are mined in three different countries, processed in 3 more, transported several times around the globe, to make the batteries, and then the other fuel used to power the outlet they charge off of.

@@Psyrecx once the battery is made, it only has to be charged. Refuelling a diesel/petrol car means constantly bringing up fossil fuels

I loved this show so much, I've probably seen it through about 5 times since it came out! There must be quite a bit more entertaining footage that didnt make it into the show, would be nice to see some extra footage or possibly .5 episodes where they cover the not as interesting stuff that happened in between episodes. The next season just feels so far away!
