  • Iain Matthews and Andy Roberts performing Danny Whitten’s ‘I Don't Want To Talk About It’ at The CAT Club, Pontefract, 11th December 2022. The concert was part of a 50th anniversary celebration of the first Plainsong incarnation.
Plainsong's debut performance of this song was in the very last performance of the original group for a BBC Radio show called Sounds on Sunday in December 1972. They performed it as a tribute to Danny Whitten, who had died in tragic circumstances the month before.

It was, by Rod Stewart in 1975 from the album Atlantic Crossing. A great song, whoever sings it.

"I Don't Want to Talk About It" - a song written by American guitarist Danny Whitten. It was first recorded by American rock band Crazy Horse and issued as the final track on side one of their 1971 eponymous album. It was Whitten's signature tune, but gained more fame via its numerous cover versions, especially that by Rod Stewart. (Wikipedia)

@@LetArtsLive I forgot to congratulate you for immediately recognizing the quality of Ian Matthews' (leader of Plainsong and an original member of Fairport Convention) music. I recommend to you what I think to be his finest album, Stealin' Home. Not a bad track on it.
