Seems like it was struggling, I haven't done much pipe threading but I do remember it being faster than that on 5 inch pipe.

I no longer have the cinfianca I had in dewalt products. I bought 10 times the same product and always have the same problem. I called the technical assistance and they said there was no reason for recall. I returned it and I don't want the DCD966 anymore.

Cool, but lil slow at end of thread and sounded like losing power, dead or dieing battery?
Please make it 120 volt or double the current with two batteries

In fairness, my only experience is with a portable rigid? pipe threader that was a beast of tool and I think it had its own stand. Wasn't mine, just used a lot over 2 years at two warehouse location. Lot of 2" gas line, and a bunch of air line stuff from 2" to 3/4"

Even 120V pipe threaders do that when you get deep on pipe.

@@wileecoyote5749 yeah, like 3/4" past threader is worse case scenario and the one I ran didn't flinch. So is my experience only with a really good one then? A lot of people used it and said that was the best threader they've ever used.
      I am a DeWalt fan/fam.

As we can see, sixty volts dc, doesn’t want anything to do with threading 2” pipe.

But you need to run an extension cored to get it working and if there’s is power at the job site you need to take a generator. I’d rather have this one.
