Halo 2 Complete Soundtrack 14 - Uprising
Vložit
- čas přidán 30. 07. 2024
- The complete soundtrack for the Halo 2 Campaign, exactly the way it's heard while playing.
All music composed by Martin O'Donnell & Michael Salvatori.
All tracks mixed and arranged by me.
Track 14: Uprising
1. Heavy Price Paid (looped intro, no piano, also used for opening cinematic) 0:00
2. Wage (slow percussion only) 1:58
3. Unyielding (from the OST) 3:49
4. Wage 6:55
5. Closing cinematic 8:37
Notes:
A (relatively) short track for a short mission.
The intro of Heavy Price Paid keeps looping until you encounter friendly elites, then it moves on to the rest of the song as the Wage percussion kicks in.
Unlike Reclaimer, Unyielding keeps looping until you finish the vehicle section of the mission, but I decided to just leave the raw track as is. - Hudba

This level is something that can't be expresses. The vibe is magical
This level is so, so underrated. From the environmental storytelling and beautiful soundtrack, feeling betrayed. It really is magical. I genuinely don’t see why people don’t give it creds
@@ThePilleroflightning I liked it ......
The vibe really is magical. H2A is beautiful and very faithful to the original, but couldn't even come close to capturing the absolutely perfect atmosphere of the area around the ring's control room. from the music to the weather to the colour palette, it's the best environment in the whole series.
This is why the halo is masterpiece ✌️
@@ThePilleroflightningthats because every level has this, theyre all top notch

Halo 5 should've had it missions split between Chief and Arbiter like here in Halo 2.
It had that except with Locke. Also Master chief only had 3 missions.
@@ewjfpoefjwoiefj it wasn't really well balanced at all.
They tried that, but it was skewed heavily toward Locke, which is a shame as a lot of the really interesting stuff was happening around Chief. The Sanghelios sections were neat, but much of the rest felt superfluous.

"So much for a stealthy advance"
That percussion....
The mix of Wage with Heavy Price Paid, is one of the best mixes I have ever listened to.
All we're missing now is the *piano...*
It was great stealth killing those brutes with plasma grenades or the energy blade with this music in the background.
Halo 2's plasma grenade blast is so perfect. It's quiet but so destructive sounding at the same time
Fully picturing the memory of the calm afternoon/nights playing through the single-player campaign combined with this soundtrack is so beautiful I almost feel sick to my stomach.
@@ToastyWaffle456 I used to play this game at my friends’ houses since I had a GameCube, so these tracks always remind me of them and miss them and those simple, fun times that we had all those years ago. The opening track, Heavy Price Paid, especially makes me miss them. Halo 2 is always the most nostalgic and heartbreaking game in the series to me, and I love it to bits.
I just went ape shit on them with the sword and mind you I was playing on legendary
A true master piece, this game is nothing but art, and to think it wasn't even near finished!
I believe halo 3 was supposed to be part of it which is outstanding. Definitely one of the greatest games made.
@@naija395 Roughly the first half of Halo 3 used concepts from the cut final third of Halo 2.
I wish we could see what that final third would've been like. If there's any game that deserves a redo, it's Halo 2.
@@russellbrown6888 I don't even think this needs a redo. If they can keep the story, all the cutscenes, dialogue and everything we know and love the same and somehow fit what they truly wanted in, it'd be more perfect than it already is. Bungie was really hard on this game, critiquing everything that we all love about it and I feel like they truly don't know what they created with this game and how much it is truly loved and appreciated. A rushed game that turned into a complete icon.
Well, they could get rid of the Jackal snipers, tho (pain in the ass😂)
Coming back to Halo 2 and the franchise and damn this feels all new to me.
I hope I'm not to late to welcome you back.
Nostalgia kicking in so hard i had to open my liquor cabinet and have a toast, to all those who played online, campaign and pulled off all nighters with friends. (Heres to all of you 🍺)

i love this song its the best out of all of the halo 2 sound tracks
"The Brutes have betrayed us, the Councillors.
It can be truthfully(no pun intended) that this is the best soundtrack ever. Arkham City comes pretty close, though.
if the style of halo 2 carried through the rest of the halos it would be much more epic. 5 is coming but halo 2 will be my favorite forever.
Became garbage after reach
I remember playing Halo 2 when I was like... 4. I remember myself getting so pissed off because tarterus kept on killing me. Damn, I miss those days.
Second fav mission after the arbiter. I remember specifically trying to keep every ally alive. In the beginning of the mission u can look to the right and see plasma rifle shots trail off, and that always made me sad as a kid, knowing I could not help those elites
Same. Those small details really add to the story.
I thought it was a brute shot! The main reason I thought that is that you can hear a brute shot fire off and you can even see the shot trailing off by the cliff were you start.
@@hollowsteel I think there might be both I forget lol
R. Poe maybe it depends on the difficulty because I usually play halo 2 on heroic.
@@hollowsteel could be, but either way I always thought seeing those trailing shots into the distance was such a good detail of foreshadowing. Especially if u zoom in and follow the shots into the distance... honestly those shots seemed travel for so long. Nostalgia ...
I've been looking for this version with the drums mixed in with heavy price paid forever and I'm SUPER happy to see someone posted it, because it's only heard while actually playing the game.
Seriously, thank you so much
The messed up with halo 2 uprighting anniversary it's too loud, the original sounds spiritual in a way. Like flash backs too all the fallen Sanghelili being slaughtered 1 by 1.
@justin I agree the softer one is much better more calming and fits the emotion of what the arbiter has learned and what hes about to do.
I'm late but just about every H2A Remade Track is too loud. It starts to get really annoying, especially after hearing Halo 2 Classics Soundtracks
Too much rock in the music, they fucked something already perfect, Halo 2's music
Maikol Stibeh Chaparro Aricapa I felt like it was more robotic Djent type stuff, not more rock. Plus classic featured Steve Vai and the entire remastered soundtrack was most likely created entirely on a computer.
@@ayxzer3226 wish ya could just change the music to classic while play the anivers

Basically the great schism in a nutshell.
"Goodbye John."
Has to be one of the most depressing quotes of the game.
We will never forget the countless sacrifices made by the men and women of the UNSC. The ship commanders bravely without hesitation enacting The Cole Protocol, the marines fighting to the last man against impossible odds far from home, the ODSTs jumping feet first into hell and certain death with unyielding courage and of course all of the Spartans missing in action, Oly Oly Oxen Free, we will remember them.

My favorite level, thanks bungie :')

It's so f*cing beautiful

out of any halo this soundtrack is still the best 19 years later
This is definitely in my “Top 3 favorite suites in all of Halo.”
Somebody needs to make a video on that, lol.
One of my favorite levels from this campaign, only a few tracks but they are each standouts, and the tone shifting from sorrowful to exciting really drives home that you and your fellow elites (and grunt buddies) are getting back at the brutes, really motivates you to kick ass on your way to stop Tartarus from lighting the ring.
one thing is certain , the brutes will pay for the blood they have spilled.
WRAHH! Over so soon?
Way better than the remaster.
This has to be the most somber opening in the entirety of halo
Ese sonido al inicio de la misión con la mezcla que haces al tomar la espada , épico!
The song of the beggining is sad but pretty awesome and it feel at me good memories :p
Now this is what you call Halo music. Loved this level and this music.
4:38 this is a badass piano in the background.
Just think about using a piano in an FPS, thats insane, great work srsly.
4:15
"Look out! Bad guy!"
Such a catchy song!!
To me this song signifies the sorrow felt by a great betrayel and trying to find the strength to rise again.
I used to play Halo 2 a lot back in 2006 and 2011.
Favourite ost to one of my favourite missions over. A MAJOR turning point in the halo story.
Probably my favorite level in all of Halo.
It's beautiful but there's a heavy feeling and solemness to it. Not even the betrayal of the Sangheili but entering those damp moss covered ancient halls where none have walked for millennia yet it feels strangely like home, the esoteric murals staring back at you, and knowing what the Forerunner had to do, the extent they went to for their survival, how proud they would be, but could not see their descendants grow or help them. (and yes, they are human)
Started this level when i was 6 years old and iremember staring at the background for hours listening to this
It hits hard men
" What have these brutes done they've shed our brothers blood and for that they must die look a zealot so much for a stealthy advance" "Over so soon make haste there are more brutes to kill""Ha long have I waited for this" That zealot was an OG bro coolest dude in the game nobody fucked with the zealot next to the shipmaster. "Your journey has begun brother he is dead" I actually fucking work out to this song.
yngstunna101 And the drums que as he starts speaking. What a badass.
Spartan K4102 right. He not with the bullshit.
Fucking loved that guy!
*_"Vile, disloyal beasts!_*_ The Prophets were fools to trust them."_
“The end of Halo 2’s development was horrible. I wasn’t sure if the team could stay together, it’d been such a grind. Relationships went, divorces happened.”
-Marty O’Donnell
The song you play when the end is near
this is AWESOME! possibly my 4th favorite track.
I deliberately leave the brute sceptre alive just to hear the whole of "unyielding"...anyone else?
"Let's just throw the bodies over the edge!"
"Where's the fun in that?"
Unyielding is the moment where the arbiter leads the revolution against the covenant
Ha ha long have i waited for this☺.
Love this song it's soo lovely
haha LONG! have i waited for this!!
A time well past. than you internet man from 2013 for uploading this.
So, so epic. nothing quite fits the dawn of an uprising quite as well as this does.
“They spilled our brothers blood and for that they shall DIE”
Track Superb!! Wonderful!
I imagine the best freaking war charge set to Unyielding.
I love those drums!

All we're missing now is the *piano...*
I thought of Halo 2 level between Quarantine Zone and Gravemind after The Brutes betrayed Arbiter it showed how the Survivng Elites on the Gondola react to the Brutes treachery and they link up with Rtas Vadum who learned of the Brutes Treachery while engaging Flood and UNSC and the 2nd level before Gravemind would be on the Brute Cruiser over Delta Halo engaging The Brutes with a Squad of Surviving Elites backed by Grunts and Hunters with the Brutes backed by Jackals and Drones
1st one is Betrayal
"Brutes must answer for their Treachery"
2nd one Civil War
"Brutes have taken ur crusier take it back from them"
0:00 - 1:55 How it feels to play destiny when you remember what Bungie used to make :(
