  • Radish microgreens are crunchy and taste exactly like radish. They are also very easy and fast growers. They make a great addition to any salad, sandwich or garnish. Use sparingly for a radish accent!

    • @PrincetonMicrogreens
      @PrincetonMicrogreens  PÅ™ed 3 lety +1

      It depends on the crop, but most crops absolutely not. Others like sunflower, it does.
      We do this for most our microgreens and have never had a problem.
      Also, you don’t need that much water. The water has no where to go when covering up the tray. As long as it isn’t too hot in your grow space, the water won’t evaporate out. No need to spray them daily.

    Great video! Why did you decide to use Coco Coir as your medium of choice?

    • @PrincetonMicrogreens
      @PrincetonMicrogreens  PÅ™ed 3 lety

      A few reasons.
      1. It's EXTREAMLY cheap and profitable. We get our Coco Coir for $10 a block and can do about 20+ trays.
      2. It's very predictable due to the soil-like consistency.
      3. Microgreens don't need many nutrients and even tend to get nutrient burn. Coir solves this problem as you can add in any smidge of nutrients you would like directly into the water.
      4. Did I mention how cheap it is! :)

    • @PrincetonMicrogreens
      @PrincetonMicrogreens  PÅ™ed 3 lety +2

      Thanks for the positive feedback. I've gone ahead and added the nutrients we use to the description on the video.
      Ocean Sea Minerals (Nutrients) → t.ly/xd03
      We add 0.5 oz. of Sea Nutrients to every 1 gallon of water. In my experience, it gives the microgreens just the right amount of nutrients they need to grow (they don't need much). We like to stay as close to Seed/Water/Harvest as possible without adding anything extra to our crop. This is the reason we stick with coco coir instead of soil.
      Hope this helps and look forward to seeing you in the future :)
