- Since my XJ12 most likely has a timing chain issue I have deciced to take my daily driven Jaguar XJ6 to the Swedish Jaguar club summer meet. It will be a 1000 mile road trip. Even though it is my daily, the XJ6 will need some work before the long trip.

Hi Adam, I must thank you for giving me continued reason to keep my DS S1. It is easy to get disheartened with the amount of work these old cars continue to throw at you. But I know I would miss it if I gave up on it. So again thank you, Regards, Geoff

Nice work. I did a tank and sender (left side) replacement last month. Not a hard job on the Series 1 either. I replace the left side fuel pump as well. Now I just need to get the fuel gauge working. No reading for either tank. Coming up on my to-do list is a change to a serpentine belt (instead of multiple accessory belts) with a kit that includes an uprated alternator and new A/C compressor. Your upcoming trip sounds like a lot of fun.
I see you have the optional-extra inflatable sun visors - my S3 DD6 has those too. 🤣

Always good to do some maintenance on the daily driver. For me too, it's the most neglected one, my Mazda 3.

POR15 tank sealer is a really good bet for half-decent XJ tanks
@Living with A classic, Hi, you have really cool steering wheel, it is OEM Jaguar wheel which was installed on XJ6?
Where is the car meeting? If you are going south I would recommend british car meet in Mollis, Switzerland, Aug 25.
