    Late to comment but had to say how useful this tour was, especially the interior. The vendor tours show empty shelves, provide no special insights on practical storage issues, use of organizers, etc. This was great! Thank you!

    Hi! Three years late, but I'm here!😊
    Thank you for presenting this as an owner, unlike a dealer, who would whiz through with imaginary woulda coulda shouldas!
    This is very helpful as we are looking to travel more frequently and steward our resources (including our energy) more wisely.
    We figure it's more conducive to be able to take monthly excursions and staycations (transplanted to GA from NY in '94 and STILL haven't explored a quarter of this beautiful state!) rather than once a year getaway.
    Re: the sewer maintenance. We were raised w septic in NY and have been on septic since moving here. I think it definitely makes us more conscious of caring for the environment (can't just dump anything down it). We are always mindful that only the three Ps are to EVER go down (the third P is toilet paper☺️).
    When I was transitioning from home to homeowner, my landlord thanked me for recognizing he was on septic...and that it was about to back up because of previous tenants. He had not a clue of how to care for it.
    No less than 10 streams and creeks are within a mile of our property now. Every time I see the deer munching on my muscadines, I smile at knowing they're not far from clean water.
    Thank you again for your channel. Very insightful.
    Safe travels. Looking forward to catching up🚐☁️☁️

    Thank you for this video. My wife and I are hoping to get our 26T by week's end. Your video showed me additional ways to store supplies and enjoy the Minnie. We traded in our four month old Thor Gemini for some more room without going huge. I watched your video what you liked and disliked about the Minnie and took it to heart. It is just the two of us and were are planning a cross-country trip in mid March. The Thor Gemini was a good RV, but too small for a long trip. The 26T is only 4 feet longer and I should be similar in handling. What I liked about the 26T is the walkaround bed, the adaptive cruise control, and cameras on the mirrors. Ford brought the 2021 unit up to modern safety standards. The 2021 Gemini did not have side cams, nor adaptive cruise. Looking forward to this 6 month odyssey. We had only traveled 2500 miles since we became RV's and this will make or break us

      @@TheCajunNomads we are interested in the 25B and I'm hopeful that the generator can be used to keep our pups comfortable in the air conditioning while we go hiking in the summer. Do you know if that's possible to do? I heard you say in this video the generator shuts off after gas is at 1/4 full, but will it be possible to leave it running when we are away from the rig to keep the a/c on for our pets? I'm envisioning we will not have a tow vehicle so we will drive to trailhead parking and be away from the rig for up to 3 hour hike. Thanks, Patty.

      @@pattyk8594 The Onan generator will easily keep the Rv very cool for your pets or people. You can lock Rv and leave with no issues running the generator, just keep your fuel tank level filled above quarter tank (it shuts off your generator to prevent running your Rv out of fuel).

    Very well done video. I bought a 2015 Minnie Winnie a few years back but due to some unforeseen circumstances I've only gotten to take it camping once for about 4 nights/5 days but I really liked it a lot. Mine is a 27Q so the floor plan is a bit different, it has a separate bedroom which I really like a lot, the bed is a full size queen - not "cut off" corner. I'm just wondering does your bed have a storage area underneath the mattress? Mine does but I'm not really sure if it's meant to be for storage and haven't put anything in there yet. There's nothing in it, no wiring or anything, just a great big "box", so I think it can be used for storage. Is yours similar to that? I gotta tell ya, I learned more from your "tour" than I did from the dealership that I purchased my rig from., so I really appreciate you sharing all that you did. I'm still reading the manuals on mine LOL! If you read this can you mention something about the 'under-the-bed-storage" area please. Are you really selling yours already? I love mine and though I only plan to keep it another few years I am very happy with it. Thanks again for sharing!

      @TheCajunNomads  Před 3 lety +1

      Rosie, I'm sorry I am just getting back to your comment. I would say it is the perfect step up in size from a spinter. It has a bigger foot print without slides. I think it comes down to how you are going to use it. When we move fast we love small, when we are working in it day to day we want it bigger. It was a great rig for us in the short time we had it, when the stay at home thing came into effect, it had an impact.

    Very nice tour. Thank you! We are shopping and I have a couple of questions. 1. Do you find that a 54" bed is wide enough? Do you ever feel cramped? 2. Do you go everywhere without an extra vehicle? Do you ever wish you had something else to drive? Our hopes are to get something we can drive without worrying about towing (we have a 30' trailer now and want to just get in and go). We will have to check out more of your videos.

    • @TheCajunNomads
      @TheCajunNomads  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks for watching! The bed was small but it worked for us. It is a more compact unit but the the layout is very good. The size gives you the ability to be very mobile and it would be easy to use it as a driver when you need . Nichole did follow in her car. If we boondocked a lot it would not be needed, we stay in a lot of parks hooked up, so having the car was helpful. The challenge is setting up and tearing down everytime you want to go somewhere. We sold this rig because we went fulltime and started working from the RV. It comes down to your travel style, but the Winnebago was a wonderful rig. Happy Travels

      @TheCajunNomads  Před 4 lety +2

      Hey! Thank you. Well...you can hear the generator inside a little bit, but it never woke me up while sleeping. So, it’s not too loud. We tend to forget it’s on. We do have central air and heat. There are ducts for AC all the way through. There are ducts all the way through at bottom for heat as well. As for as the sound of the units- - I don’t raise the volume on the television when they kick on. 😂You do hear it kick in, but it’s not an intrusive sound. Much like any RV. Yes, the upper bunk is cold--by choice. You can close the vent above bunk if you wish. Hope this info helps!

    In my opinion, this is the best thought out class C with no slides on the market. I do have a couple questions. Is there storage under the jackknife sofa? Do you have any mold issues with the retracting shower screen? Do you feel that the 20 k btu furnace is adequate during the cold nights? What size inverter is installed and is it modified or pure sine wave? I've heard this model has 2 batteries. Could you show where they are located? Thanks.

    • @TheCajunNomads
      @TheCajunNomads  Před 4 lety +3

      Hey! There is no storage under the sofa. We did not have mold issues with shower screen. We did pull it out to air dry it regularly. The furnace was more than sufficient. (We camped in 17 degree weather.) We have sold the RV since the video so I do not have exact info on inverter, but it was more than sufficient to run it for hours while watching tv and running heater over night. It did have 2 batteries underneath the steps where you entered. We agree, this is a perfect Class C with no slides. We enjoyed when we had it!! Only sold it for more space needed due to working out of it full time.

      David Winnebago advertises 11,500 to 14,500 depending on the chassis. I believe ours was 14,500. The bedroom in this model has no door or curtain. It is a open concept unit. Thanks for watching!

    Hi this is my firs visit to your channel, I’m still deciding if I should purchase an RV. Can you tell me the difference between a class C and class B RV-what exactly does that refer to?

    • @TheCajunNomads
      @TheCajunNomads  Před 4 lety +2

      Hey Angels Cove, Great questions! A class C is Typically like what you see in our video. A truck front that has a cab that extends over it. A Class B is normally a van body and a B plus, as it is sometimes called is a larger version of a van model. If you google the two you will see lots of examples. For your decision it comes down to how you will want to travel and how many are traveling with you. B's are a smaller and can go just about anywhere, C's offer you more living space but can restrict you in some places depending on how you want to camp. Most of the time for getting in most places a C or B is just fine. Thanks for watching!

    How is the leg room on the toilet? Our current motor home has an angled bathroom door and it’s not as roomy as we like. Is the bathroom large enough to get dressed easily in there? Thanks

      This unit has the toilet in a great position for leg room. Not an issue at all. Happy Travels!

    Are these reliable RV's in general? Good floor plan.

    • @TheCajunNomads
      @TheCajunNomads  Před 3 lety +2

      We cannot speak for everyone, but in our experience, our Winnebago was very reliable. We didn't have any trouble with the RV. Outside of the space issue for us (which is a personal preference) we really enjoyed this one.

    Would you consider buying outside your local area? Having a hard time finding inventory in our state.

    • @TheCajunNomads
      @TheCajunNomads  Před 3 lety +2

      We actually drove to another state to purchase this particular RV. We look for what we want, and if it's in another state, we will definitely buy outside of our state. Sometimes the dealership's inventory just doesn't consist of what you are looking for. :-)

    Hello, any tips to help with rattling while driving? I also drive a class c. Thank you 😊

    • @TheCajunNomads
      @TheCajunNomads  Před 2 lety +1

      There always seemed to be a little rattling from the actual RV itself that we could not completely alleviate. But securing and shutting cabinets tightly and placing EasyLiner Original Grip Shelf liner under pots and lids, or anything that clanked together helped.

    Hi, we are considering trading in our RV for a Minnie Winnie 25B, but I'm hesitant because it's actually a step down for us. How is the driving comfort? I noticed that the Ford chassis does not allow much movement in terms of driving position (can't lean back very far). Also, what kind of MPG do you get with your 25B?

    • @TheCajunNomads
      @TheCajunNomads  Před 2 lety

      Eddie, I am sorry for the late response. This is an area of concern, it is not the most comfortable seat for long trips.

      Jerry, I paid 74k for the RV, I think it retailed for 95K. As with most of the RV's you look at they sale for less than advertised. You can get used ones a couple of years old for much less if you look around. Hope that helps and good luck in your search! Shawn

    • @TheCajunNomads
      @TheCajunNomads  Před 3 lety +1

      The inverter is to run "everything" internally on the battery when you are not hooked to power. (Not air conditioner)

      The Cajun Nomads sorry, meant converter...

    • @TheCajunNomads
      @TheCajunNomads  Před 3 lety

      Gotcha! No problem. The converter turns AC Voltage to DC Voltage or 110V to 12V in an RV. An inverter turns DC Voltage to AC Voltage or 12V to 110V in an RV.
