I am a Canadian Engineer and have practised Engineering all my career. I have never used the title of Engineer to elevate myself, puff up, show superiority and education. It bugs me that in Pakistan non-practising Doctors and Engineers use this title to show superiority and foolish others also use it. They call it Protocol! Just as Fazal ul Rehman is no Mullah, people who passed an exam decades ago and not practise the profession have no right to use it.

I'm glad to see young Muslims debating on Islam and it's principles. I'm glad to see public engagement too.
However I'm unable to understand the motive of this discussion Coz the participants seem to be proving the point lacking in Islam whereby criticising the drawbacks of our society in general and Muslims actions in particular.
Zabita means usul, rule or principle and Islam has given principles in each and every aspect of life the modalities and protocols are determined based on these guidelines to suit the current scenario and requirements.
When scientific development started it was based on some principles and then they worked over those principles and made laws and then applied in practical aspects of their rules and laws .. so if these rules and laws are not implemented then you can't blame the scholar or idiology but those who ignore these laws and principles.
Islam has given the principles of using clothing to cover our body modestly and it didn't emphases on particular dress design or fabric, likewise prophet (S.A.W.W.) HAS the top class facilities for education as per that society i.e. Masjid and Quran.. and they followed those laid out principles based on which later Muslims scholars invented algebra , astronomy , medical, engineering and many other disciplines and mind you these early age Muslim scholar were called scientists not molbi like today reason being they not only studied the religious aspects of Quran dealing with rights of Allah but also those aspects dealing with the rights of humans and so they construed and invented things in the same "religious" institutions we call Maddarassa from the knowledge of Quran and expanded and implemented the principles to think over innovations.
This innovative process stopped when we isolated our islamic source of knowledge , Quran from our education system and adopted western secular laws and developed so called .order unis and kep the real students to maddrasa without inticing them to ponder over revolutionary aspect of Quran and rather memorise it for masijd and solat.
We were forced to isolate and make two classes in our own society which was and needed to be one based on Quran. For all the western scientific Revolution was purely based on the initial scientific works of Muslims scholars of early ages...
That's why majority of our so called religious scholars like in this debate probably have done nothing scientific apart from talking and making impressions of drawbacks in Islamic and Quranic teachings ...
Many gestures from the guest and host are hostile but I won't go into detail but just one aspect that if Islam has not given the system of governance then how the expansion of Islamic empire was culminated to the top in the era of Umar (R.A.) ? IT was those islamic principles and guidelines that were conducive to dominance even after his era later in era of Osman and Ali (R.A.) BUT as part of human flaws and nafs later some Muslims like Ameer Muavia (R.A.) confronted Ali (R.A.) and violated the concept of governance (Khilafa) and established his own rule contrary to the islamic counseling system which later on created the turbulence and then the rise of Hussain (R.A.) against the tyrant yazid despite the fact vast majority surrendered to yazid. That was also the principle set out by Hussain (R.A.) to bow in front of a bad character ruler no matter what it costs.
So Islam is full of bright principles and even rules and authentic laws the only thing we need to discuss here in public is to devise some.emchanism how we can make Muslims of today to practice those bright laws of Islam
We are being disgraced all over for not following what needed to be followed and. Not any drawback in Islam or it's principles.
World is in chaos coz of exploitation and the flawed system governing the world and if we have no spine to rise and bring any alternative system based on Islamic principles then we have no right to misguide the Muslim youth on false notions of our raw knowledge and mind set.
The need today is to present a viable solution to come out of this predicament and not bashing Islam..
We Muslims have to raise our level of understanding Quran rather than translating and inspiring thought from the western media and propogating to our naive audience .
Such debates should be conducted with scholars of different schools of thoughts to have opinions to see the audience what's right .. if one sided version like this then people have no option .. so my suggestion is to bring solutions not controversies ..
    Plz .
Also when you try to make us BELEIVE in the failed western system then you lose your authenticity there by citing modern taxation and economic models whereby zakat and charity system is available 😅
    Thanks

Hassan Bhai Ney Jo Hadees Key Content Key Jo 2 Usool Batay Wo Darust Nai Inhun ney Farmaya
    1. Aqali Musallamaat Key Khilaaf Hadees Hogi To Ham Nai Maaney Gey
    2. Quraan o Sunnat Key Mukhaalif Agr Hogi To B Nai Maney Gey
See Nukhbat al-Fikr by al-Haafiz Ibn Hajar (may Allaah have mercy on him).
From this definition we may sum up the conditions of a saheeh hadeeth as follows:
1 - Good character of all its narrators
2 - Good memory and precision on the part of narrators with regard to what they are narrating.
3 - Continuous isnaad from beginning to end, meaning that each narrator heard the hadeeth from the one before him.
4 - The hadeeth is free from any oddness in its isnaad or text. What is meant by “odd” is anything in which the narrator narrates something that contradicts the narration of a sounder narrator.
5 - The hadeeth is free from faults in its isnaad and text. A “fault” is a subtle problem that undermines the soundness of the hadeeth, which can be detected only by the well versed scholars of hadeeth.

Brilliant discussion and opens up avenues for more questions.
    1) What is medium to receive and adopt sunnat? It's not Hadees as per Hasan Ilyas sb, if I understand correctly
    2) Whether the 4 principal schools of sunnah are not based on sunnah?

Very effective to watch these religious intellectuals and there are some more who present these topics Islam with out any sects. Or use as religious tools for different purposes, as like for religious Extremism or the sake of power.
So sir kindly make us more understandable about Islam and more about societal problems that are faced because of different schools.
And thank you sir to both you ❤❤

Listened to this just after listening to your other podcast with Engr Mohammad Ali Mirza and I must acknowledge the depth of the intellectual debate.
One suggestion I would like to give is to include the names of all the books you all refer to during you discussion in the description of the videos. This will help people like us to indulge in detailed reading of that literature (not sure if it gets done already)

Excellent discussion! And agree on so many levels.
I do have some questions and confusions and hoping they can get clarified in the oncoming sessions, if any.
    - talking about the 4 caliphs and how what they did is a part of history and not a part of religion. Agree with this totally, however I have noticed, in classical Islamic discourse, there have been mentions of Hazrat Omar RA, and how his decisions (eg. Re prisoners of Badr) were considered "much in line divine judgement" as opposed to what was eventually decided.
Having said that, there were some companions who were given the basharah of Jannah in this life.
So putting these arguments together, can we consider a glimpse of leadership with divine grace when speaking of them?

    • @Osama-Anwar
      @Osama-Anwar Před rokem +1

This "divine grace" is given by Allah himself. This had been realized by the scholars of past and this is why mainstream orthodox Sunni Muslims try to understand Deen in the light of understanding of Companions of Prophet S.A.W. instead of solely relying on the intellect of modern day Muslim though through Ijtehad, Allah has given us a way to provide us guidance in different fields still today. Here is where I disagree with the respected guest as he is saying that the understanding of the present day normal people and Companions holds the same weight which is problematic. Why? Because 1) in Quran, Allah has expressed his satisfaction with Companions. 2) Many of them have been given the glad tiding of abode in Jannah. 3) from Hadith, we know Muslims nearer to the time of Prophet are better than the people after them. 4) Prophet has admired different traits (about understanding of Deen, Tafsir, knowledge)of different Companions in his lifetime and the opinion of these Companions hold more weight than modern day people in those fields.

Prophet ﷺ 💚✨ said that best generation is the fourth generation cones before me so yeah we can look at shaba for solving any conflict & issue.
      (2) The Islamic system is completely based on the model of Umar RA cuz the whole society and Khilafat raise during the time of umar Ra.
