    Brenda, so far I’ve viewed 5 of your PhotoPills tutorials and while there’s a good amount of information to learn you’ve made it very simple to understand and apply.
    You’re a tremendous asset to photographers. I’m grateful I found your channel & look forward to the rest of the tutorial.

    Came back for a refresher on the FOV tool for an upcoming Milky Way shoot in Death Valley. So appreciate the clear and concise explanation and demonstrations! PP's can be a little overwhelming to learn because it's so feature rich, your videos make it much easier to learn and put into practice. Thank you!

    Brenda you knocked out of the park again. You're the best. I've planned some full moonset shoots at the Naples, Florida pier for the end of October and instead on schlepping my 6 pound 200-500mm lens I'm going to take my fantastic Nikkor f2.8 70-200mm lens. Keep up the great tutorials.

    Thank you, your videos have been excellent. I wanted to love the app, but I couldn't understand quite well a lot of things, and the "official" tutorials are completely awful, not because of the content, but because of the way Rafa speaks, the creator of the app. I also speak spanish, and it's really incredible, not in spanish or englisn is understandable hahaha.

    Great videos! Simple, easy explanations. I only have one question, why does everyone only seem to use photopills for moon or night shooting? I'd like to see planning for sunrise/sunset as well. Also, would be cool to see the actual image at the end of your plan video.

      @outdoorphotographyschool7366  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Patty - when you click the link a zip file should download. If you unzip it, it will be a kmz file. If you email yourself the file and open the email on your phone, you should be able to open the file with PhotoPills and import it as a plan or POI. Hope that works!

    You are a brilliant teacher Brenda. So clear! Thank you.
    I live close to hills and the real horizon is often not visible because of a neighbouring hill.
    Can I use the red and black pins to work out when the sun (and effective golden hour) is visible at a spot within the hills?

    • @outdoorphotographyschool7366
      @outdoorphotographyschool7366  Před 4 lety

      Thanks, Kirk! I'm actually not sure when the FOV map tool feature came out, but it's helpful to use when you're planning an image and want to see it on the map. The FOV calculator gives a lot of the same info, and also has the AR feature, which is nice if you're on location.

    How did you get the hyperfocal distance to show on your planner map?

    • @outdoorphotographyschool7366
      @outdoorphotographyschool7366  Před 4 lety +1

      Hi Steve - I didn't show the hyperfocal distance on the Planner in this video. When using the FOV map tool, the red line indicates the focus distance. If you set that to be locked on the black pin, the red line will intersect the black pin. However, if you set it to a custom distance, which *could* be the hyperfocal distance, then the red line will be at that distance. Does that answer your question?

      There is a lot packed into the app, so I think you get a lot of functionality for the cost, but it's not for everyone. You certainly don't need it to take great photos.
